They also rotate flavors through different seasons- I loved when they had the ube latte. The food is yummy; I liked the baja breakfast burrito & their baked goods are amazing! The atmosphere is unique with a rain forest type theme. I liked working in there though space is limited during the weekend.

I really enjoyed my drink. It was sweet but not too sweet. And the coffee was nice and not bitter. My fiancé got the tres leches and that was also very good. It was sweet and creamy. The coffee cake we got was just ok. It was kind of bland with hints of cinnamon. And it was a little dense. It was the only pastry that was there. I'm not sure if it was because we got there around 12, or if they just don't have other pastries regularly. It was also a lot more expensive than other coffee shops in the area. If we are back in the area we will definitely come back for the coffee and vibes. The inside is beautiful and a really chill place. It was clean inside and the couches were comfy. I also liked that the baristas knew the locals that came in. That welcoming feeling makes all the difference.

Celiac -Gluten-free review…read more Oooooooh I love me some Busy Nothings! Living in Suffolk, this would typically be way out of the way, but I have weekly appointments in the area that make stopping in a no-brainer. This is a Jane Austen themed coffee spot, and admittedly as voracious of a reader as I am, I haven't read any Jane Austen, but that doesn't dampen my experience. First off, the coffee is good af! They have a rotating selection of fun drinks, but my go-to is their drip with a splash of cream. My stance is if a coffee shop has good quality drip, then you can trust them to make anything else coffee-related satisfactory. Oh and the oat milk option is Oatly brand, so also Celiac safe! Second, the environment is a vibe. The inside is cozy, and I love that there always seems to be a mix of people who are there to work and also just meeting up to hang out. Also big bonus on art displayed by local artist Dathan Kane. Apparently this was inherited with the space and I love that they've chosen to keep it displayed. And the music they play is a perfect soundtrack for the atmosphere. They do serve food here that I cannot comment on bc it is not Celiac friendly, butttttt they do carry small individually-wrapped pastries from Sans Bakery, a NY-based gluten-free bakery. There are always three different options and I am completely and hopelessly hooked on the raspberry bars, though the brownies and zucchini bread are also very good. Big ups to the owner Debbie who I had the pleasure of talking to- I got the impression that all of the choices here are intentional and that she cares about all of the aspects of the experience here, and it shows. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

There was a baby shower happening while we were there, so it was a little loud, but it didn't take away from the experience. It's a charming spot in an equally cute, walkable neighborhood. I got the gluten-free bread option though, which was a focaccia bread. Talk about a pleasant surprise! It was light and airy. I also had the pistachio cloud latte with oat milk. I dined in, and it gave me an opportunity to check out the bistro. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have wine and mimosas. Today was the 3rd Sunday they've tried to give excuses to not be able to make our frozen drinks. Last week it was "we are out of the cocoa powder" and the week before it was "our machine is broken, we can't make frozen drinks". Oddly enough I could see into the kitchen with a perfectly good blender. Also after they said they were out of the cocoa powder they ended up bringing out our frozen chocolate drink like two minutes later . It's usually a bunch of younger employees standing around watching their older "supervisor" or whoever lie to customers so they don't have to make frozen drinks... idk what else they need to save time for. There wasn't even anyone else in line. I'll definitely be sticking to Starbucks. They're all basically the same price now a days anyway. Also peep the hashbrowns we received.
