I decided to try it, even though my usual gas station of choice would be Shell. I like how they have new pumps which are entirely blue. It is a nice change from the usual red or black color you see at other gas stations. There are 12 pumps, so a lot of people can be accomodated. I was also impressed that their car wash was also open 24 hours. Few car washes in the city are open for this period of time, granted the temperatures are reasonable. What I was most impressed with was their drive-thru Tim Horton's...also open 24 hours! Sure you can go to the one across the street, but it's very convenient since you're already there. I realize this location will not stay 'new' forever, however there are a lot of convenient services located at one location, making it one of the best Esso's I have been to in the city.

There pump wasn't working but when you pump it was showing that it was…read morepumping but I couldn't hear the diesel coming I pulled out the nozzle to see if it was even pumping diesel or the pump was just showing it was pumping and nothing came out. Went and talked to the little Philippine lady working at the counter she told me it was frozen at that pump but when I came in to prepay for it she didn't tell me that. She then tells me to try the pump on the other side that one works. Spun my truck around and started pumping diesel this one was working. She turned the pump off at $49 instead of the 50 I had paid for went in and told her I had prepaid for 50 but she said no the other pump shows you put diesel In from there which she knew it wasn't pumping nothing but air. If I wasn't to notice that nothing was coming out I would have lost the full 50 I had paid for. They lack customer care here and don't care about anything except standing around inside doing nothing. Fyi: I don't care about the dollar they ripped me off for just the fact I had to go back inside to find out that the same pump I was parked at wasn't working after trying it out and her knowing all about it was just inconvenient.

I have lived in Sherwood Park pretty much all my life so have stopped in here on many occasions and the staff here are among the most friendly I have ever met. They always greet you will a smile and a friendly hello, and they always up-sell products - not my thing but I'm sure the bosses appreciate their efforts greatly (hahaha bosses appreciating...eh, maybe it could happen?!). If you are looking for quick stop on your way through the park - this place is located on one of the main drags (Wye Road at Broadmore Blvd.) so it is easily accessible. Say hi to the staff and let them know what an great job they are doing!
