Second, no one's going to actually finish that off unless you're headed to a party with lots of people and booze to share it. The first few stalls on the west side of the building in front are reserved for handicapped. Big enough I can back in a crew cab pick-up truck. No curb! All flat from the parking lot to the inside of the store. For anyone in a wheelchair or even using a walker, this is a huge benefit. Someone has been very thoughtful with planning. Once inside the store I sought out the Manager. I wanted to compliment him. Instead I found a fellow in a suit from Home Office who was bagging groceries. He told me this was a new design and that he appreciated my feedback. The fact a Home Office Suit was packing groceries is a good thing. Home Office is paying attention and involved with the business. Today was part of a Grand Opening. I did later get to speak with the Store Manager who told me he has some slight changes he wants to make with regard to parking. I commented, "It's nice to see that the store manager has the ability to make those kinds of changes. Many store managers do not." The manager's response was, "Absolutely. It's my store." This is definitely not the answer you would get from some of the other chains. Today the store was well stocked and very well staffed. It was busy and lines were moving quickly. There may be slightly lower price options elsewhere but those places charge for bags and do not have quite the same attention to customer service.

After he filled with gas he cleaned his windshield with the squeegee, the squeegee scratched his windshield (which had just been replaced two weeks prior) really badly (see photo, all those streaks are scratches). After realizing what had happened, he went into the store and spoke with the manager who basically said "too bad, it's not our problem you use this stuff at your own risk". Not being satisfied with that response, I spoke with the manager today and received the same response my boyfriend got. I then spoke with the owner (Marabec) of the gas station who asked me to text her a photo of the damage (which I did) but stated in advance that she probably wouldn't do anything about it. She bragged about how much business they do there (it felt like she was basically saying screw off we don't need your business) and also indicated that maybe he didn't know how to clean his windshield and there are TWO sides to a squeegee...really? There is? Well that explains everything! After I texted her a photo (she would not do anything over email) she responded back and said as far as she is concerned the squeegee in question is fine and they won't do anything. When I told her I was not happy about having to replace a brand new windshield and I was going to take this up to Husky corporate to seek resolution, she then told me to "do what you have to do". We took the car in to see if it could just be repaired and the entire BRAND NEW windshield needs to be replaced as the scratches are right in his line of sight and when the sun hits them, he can't see. It amazes me that a business owner who can brag openly about how much business they do, won't replace a $200 windshield or even offer to cover part of it. She offered NO compensation of any sort. Sharing so a) It doesn't happen to anyone else and b) Maybe people will think twice about giving this woman their business. FYI - There is a Shell just down the road

There's also a magazine section, car items including windshield washer fluid, and instant food items. The prices aren't as high as I would expect for a convenience store. Sometimes they have a special on 2 litre pop if you buy 2 of them that is similar or cheaper to what you would pay in a grocery store. Although I don't come here often, it's nice to know if I need (or want) a treat, I don't have far to go.

Major stress to find that Hughes petroleum had new nozzles on their propane hose which would not longer fit on our angled inlet. Since we were on our way out of town for the weekend, major stress ensued til we found Primrose Husky in West Edmonton which had the older [multifit] nozzle. This may apply to many older campervans.
