JUN2025 I am happy to report they no longer have a low fat, sugar free (Splenda) GF cheesecake. It is full of FAT and SUGAR and still not gluten! I had full intention of trying it last week but was convinced by my dining companions to try the GF Chocolate Caramel cake. It was not great should have went for the cheesecake and I will next time. The icing wasn't a butter cream it just had a strong taste of powdered sugar. Still not many options for meals for that are GF but I mostly go for the dessert. Ended up with eggs benedict but no brunch potatoes b/c our server said theybwere not safe. I was offered extra fruit which was great except for the honey dew and cantaloupe. I am convinced that someone somewhere had the ONE and ONLY ONE good experience with these melons and have been trying to find a good one to this day. My server was knowledgeable about Celiac Disease as she said her BF had it, but I could have done without the attempt to school me on a Disease I was diagnosed with 15 years ago. We had to end up cutting our visit short as a large group of over a dozen teenage girls came in, they looked like maybe a baseball team, and they screamed at volume you would expect in their school gymnasium and the adults that were with them made no attempts to quiet them. read more

Great party services for wedding cakes birthday parties . Very accommodating love them

My friend and I had Lunch here today and both of us had Sandwich Combo. This the second time coming out from Edmonton to have and enjoyed it a lot. I had the Caesar Salad with my sandwich and was impressed with the amount of dressing on it and how good it was. Most place it has so little on it. A large amount of meat in the sandwich. All in all very good portions. Our waitress was awesome and continually checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Also it was refreshing to sit on very comfortable chairs and not hard wooden ones. Worth the drive from Edmonton. read more

I really wanted to give it 5 stars but our waitress was oddly confrontational which was confusing because it seemed to come out of nowhere when people were inquiring about dishes and other things. I am only removing 1 star though because she may have had a bad day, and more importantly, I observed the rest of the staff being awesome to the other tables so I don't want to be unreasonable and give a bad review to a good place. read more

Went here for my grandma's birthday. It was a large table of us and the server did a good job keeping our drinks full and got our food to us as quickly as could be expected (and where my grandpa ordered a well done steak ). I had the beet and goat cheese spinach salad with chicken and a side of focaccia bread. We had someone who was celiac with us and while there was an assortment of dining options the gluten free cheesecake was much smaller than the other cheesecakes and not very good quality. read more

Hubby and I had some time for a sit down dinner and I thought "Wow, I haven't been to The Cheesecake Cafe in ages!" We were here early (5 ish), it was quiet, and were seated in a booth immediately. There were crumbs all over the seat which I had to brush off before I sat down. Hmmmm.... Just coffee and water to drink and right to perusing the menu. I ordered a fire grilled steak salad and hubby got a burger. The service was pretty good, the server was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. My salad was really yummy! Fresh greens & veggies, tender steak, good toppings (especially the crispy onions strings on top!), not overboard on the dressing and nice smoky bites of crisp bacon throughout. Hubby had a burger and side Caesar salad. He said it was decent, no complaints. We finished our meal by sharing a slice of Reese cheesecake. Absolutely divine! The loss of a star was due to cleanliness issues in the restaurant. As I said our booth wasn't really clean and the carpet looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed in days. It was VERY noticeable. Just left this place as I sat at the table for 10 minutes and no server came up. Only 2 other customers were there.

My family went and we were all amazingly impressed. Most notably: the serving sizes are amazing! We all had enough to take home for a meal the next day. Great deal as of summer '18: Tuesdays & Thursdays you get an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert cheesecake for 30-some dollars. Amazing deal. Service (Koray) was prompt, friendly and humorous. My husband and I have been wanting to try the Cheesecake Cafe Spruce Grove since it opened, but anytime we went there was always a huge line. We decided to head there this weekend for lunch and get bread bowls of soup like we used to a long time ago. We sat in the lounge where there was only one other table of people. It took about 10 minutes for anyone to come ask us what we'd like to drink. My husband ordered the snack caesar and I ordered the cucumber mint martini. It literally took 15 minutes to get our drinks which was pretty ridiculous. Thankfully they were very good, but we just couldn't believe how slow (although very friendly) the service was. We decided to try and deviled eggs to start and holy cow were they ever good! I would definitely recommend them! Unfortunately I realized the French onion soup doesn't come with the option of getting a bread bowl, but I ordered it anyways and it was great. My husband got the signature broccoli cheddar soup in the bread bowl and was so disappointed. The bowl itself is definitely a lot smaller than it used to be, and unfortunately the bread was really stale which then gave the soup a weird taste. Probably the worst broccoli cheddar soup we've tasted to date. All in all, the experience was subpar and we likely won't go back. Cheesecake cafe has the best cheesecakes, but also has a great cocktail list, and an excellent dinner menu. Its a nice eat in establishment in Spruce Grove, and they also have an amazing patio in the summers. Went here for cheesecake of course, and it was amazing. All the staff were super friendly especially our server Victoria, she was a hoot with a lot of great food and beverage suggestions. Extremely disappointed. Came with my mother and children today for lunch. The restaurant was absolutely dead at 12:00. We sat on the patio; ordered a glass of wine and strongbow (took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive). My mom ordered a half sandwich and salad and I the GF mustard chicken and caeser salad (that came with a boat load of croutons?!) kids ordered a cheese burger and chicken fingers. Lunch took an hour to arrive. My son is dietetic and if we had known it would have taken an hour for food to arrive we wouldn't have chosen this restaurant. We had mentioned to the manager that we had waited an hour for food and all she replied was "oh? Have you?" And walked away. Food was fine, but not worth an hour wait. read more

Super disappointing experience here on a Friday night. We were seated promptly and our waitress came by shortly after and took our drink orders. A few minutes later, another waitress came by, went over the happy hour offerings and explained that it was ending in 20 minutes, so if we wanted to take advantage, we'd have to do so quickly. She then asked if she could get us something to drink. We explained that someone else had already taken our drink order. Too bad, the second waitress that came by was far more attentive, and our evening may have been better if she had continued to serve us. Our actual waitress did not explain the happy hour or specials at all, and it took almost 10 minutes for her to come back with our drinks (just pop.. nothing special). We ordered two tapas dishes (they are half price during happy hour) as well as a couple of appetizers to share instead of entrees. The tapas were okay. We got the stuff mushroom caps (they are breaded and deep fried - very little flavour, and the hot liquid from the mushrooms burns your mouth if you don't cut it open and let it sit for a while. We also got the wontons, which were delicious and probably the best thing we ate all night. They are filled with typical wonton filling then deep fried and served with the sweet thai chili sauce. We finished the tapas and then waited. And waited. 20 minutes later, the rest of our food showed up. It's just appetizers! What took so long? We had the bonesless spare ribs and Tuscan flat bread. The ribs were pretty good. Nice and salty. But the honey mustard sauce that came with them had a really powdery consistency. We did point that our to the waitress, and she said she'd let the kitchen know. I loved the flavours of the flatbread. Monterey Jack cheese added something nice, but it could have used a few more minutes in the oven. The dough was pretty soft. But the marinara sauce that came with it to dip it in was really good. Out of the many restaurants in Spruce grove, the cheesecake cafe has got to be one of the best. Me and my family have eaten there multiple times, and each time we are impressed by the quality of food and great service. Recently we were served by a wonderful lady named Sarah. She was very friendly, polite, professional suggestive of dishes she would recommend, and didn't make us feel like we have been forgotten. My wife got the bam bam chicken. She rates it a 5 out of 10. It tasted good, but didn't seem to have enough flavour, and she wishes it came with more veggies. I myself for the honey mustard chicken which i would rate a 8/10. I loved the mashed potatoes and gravy most. Price wise, it is what you would expect from a place with quality food, but not outrageous. As well I'd like to note we have a baby with us, and felt it was not a bother to anyone that she was with us. read more

I went here just yesterday and had quite the disappointing experience. Short version: Our waitress was mostly absent, two of our appetizers were cold, our entrees took almost 2 hours with no explanation, and we had to ask another waiter for help. Having said that, the manager was wonderful and promo-ed our bill, half of our appetizers were delicious, and we left happier than we were during the entire experience. One star for the service, and one star for the manager's intervention and pacification skills. Full story: My fiancé and I arrived for dinner with friends before the Saturday rush and were seated in the lounge, which has a beautiful horse painting featured on the wall. He hadn't decided on a drink, but I ordered an iced tea for myself. After a bit of a wait, she returns and my fiancé orders a beverage, which she brings ten minutes later. It doesn't take ten minutes to make a Caesar, but we brushed it off. Our friends arrived and we ordered a few starters and entrees. Around half an hour later, they come to the table: the blackened calamari and focaccia were cold, which impacted the taste, but the wontons were perfect and actually quite good! After about 45 minutes, we started to wonder where our entrees were. Our waitress had popped by to refill our drinks earlier, but she hadn't returned since. It was getting busy in the restaurant by this time, and we know that cooking food takes a while, but we couldn't understand how a beef dip, a French onion soup, and two Cobb salads could take so long. A passing waiter who happened to be a friend of ours asked what we were waiting for, then, after checking with the kitchen, told us it would only be another 2 minutes. Another 45 minutes later, which is longer than most people would have waited, and after watching two other tables be seated, eat, and leave before we had gotten our food, we decided to pay our tab for the appetizers and simply go somewhere else. However, our waitress could not be found. The water we knew passed by again and couldn't believe we hadn't received our food yet, and offered to tell her we wanted or tab. 15 minutes later she comes to our table with some of the food, but at this point we were so fed up with her absent service and lack of communication that we declined it and asked for our bill. We did not see her again, but the manager came over and spoke with us. She apologized after hearing our side of what happened, and went to see what she could do about the bill. All we wanted was for the entrees to be removed, but to our surprise, she decided to promo the entire tab! We aren't sure if the waitress was having a bad day, forgot to ring our entrees in, if there was a miscommunication somewhere in the kitchen, or all of the above, but there is no reason why what amounts to an entrée and three sides would take an hour and a half to make, even with how busy the restaurant had become. Honestly, we wouldn't have been so upset if our waitress had come by and explained that the kitchen was backed up, or if she had offered to check on our food, but we barely saw her. In fact, we saw our friend more than we saw her, and he wasn't the one serving us! In conclusion, I would definitely return, but at a quieter time and with a different server. I know that this is probably a one-off experience, and, mostly due to the actions of our friend and the manager, I'm willing to give them another shot. read more

We go on pretty much a regular basis, with my inlaws after church on Sundays. They absolutely love the French Onion soup. On Sunday, just to be different, I ordered the quiche. I was not disappointed. The quiche came out hot and tasty. Slightly coolish chips on the side. Salad was nice (bagged, but still not bad). My only criticism would be the "olive oil" and "balsamic" vinegar that comes with the pan bread. I know olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, and what they serve is neither one of these. My husband took me here for my birthday and the experience left me with a bitter taste. The food was alright (not terrible but not anything to get excited about) and is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. There is a significant management (or lack there of) issue at this location. The restaurant was short staffed and was already in the weeds when we arrived (at 6pm with less than half the restaurant full).There was a wine and painting event in the lounge as well, which also backed up the bar and put stress on the limited serving staff. Our server was left to handle half the restaurant which included a large table of 10 or more. She did her best but needless to say service was slow. The manager spent her time occasionally bringing food out and walking around very "important" like talking to tables. When she came to ours she was essentially looking for complaints about our server, and basically blamed our server for the wait which was EXTREMELY unprofessional. I then watched her fishing for complaints from the tables around us. As I said our server was overwhelmed and was set up for failure - this was a management issue through anf through. It seems to be an ongoing dynamic with this manager. Our poor server shrunk and seemed to know she was going to get it later but still did her best trying to tend tables. We went out for dinner, not to watch a bully boss play mean girls with the staff. For that reason I will not be going back read more

We arrived and waited more than 15 minutes for a waitress to come. We ordered appetizers and entrees at the same time. Waited over half an hour with no one checking on us or our orders. We finally got our appetizers and meals at the same time, and the meals were only luke warm, as they had been sitting out for more than 10 minutes (we could see the back of the kitchen prep area). Super disappointed. Our waitress then says "oh, not sure why these all came out at the same time", didn't apologize, didn't offer any percentage off. Her excuse for how long it took once we got our bill was that "everyone decided to come at the same time" (restaurant was half full), and that she was also bartending in addition to serving. I went here Saturday night with some buddies of mine. where arrived and were told that the wait would be a bit long since there was a bunch of people. a girl from the bar side then came over and asked if me and my friend would want to try the lounge. my buddies and I decided to give it a shot so she lead us to our table. What an amazing choice it was! then girl was super friendly if I can recall her name was Victoria. She always had a smile on and it being my first time coming to the cheesecake café was super helpful with suggesting what I would enjoy there. To start she Tuscan bread which was so delicious then for my main she suggested the sea food linguine which I was very happy with. it was nice to see in an establishment a server who was able to accommodate on of my buddies dietary needs as she suggested a wide verity of food options for him. over all I had a great evening out with my friends and would definitely go back to the lounge side again for such great service. :) read more
