This place is awesome! It's a small coffee shop in Spruce Grove, kinda tucked away into a corner. When you walk in the place seems small, but clean and quiet. People are able to go enjoy their coffee and read or work if they wish. I met up with some girls and enjoyed a good visit and a great latte. We were never made to feel like we needed to leave or was there too long like at some places. I had ordered a sugar free latte with almond milk. I have never seen this option before and it was really good. I will definitely stop there again for that type of drink! The pricing was fair and I had also got a home made cookie for my daughter. We haven't been to Spruce Grove for a while so we decided to head out there for lunch at Perks Coffee House. Just before Perks, on King Street, there's a Shell gas station advertising regular for $1.36! Perks has a lot more tables than I expected. There's room for groups such as the ten or so bicyclists that were seated next to us. There's lot of sandwiches on the constantly changing electronic menu on the wall. Perks has breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I had the chicken Tzazaki for $11.25 and it was very filling. It was however quite messy. Noise is well under control so it's easy to have a conversation without yelling. We don't pass through Spruce Grove often but we will return to Perks the next time we are here. read more

I ordered coffee and sandwiches and asked for some water. I was told they don't provide water, so I bought a bottle instead. When I asked for an empty paper or plastic cup so my dog could drink from the bottle, I was told they couldn't give me one. I ended up buying another coffee just to get an empty cup. I also noticed the sandwiches were prepared with bare hands, which I didn't find very hygienic. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience. read more

Coffee is pretty good, and service was fairly quick! They give you a free little biscuits with your coffe which is a cute touch.

This is a regular coffee haunt for myself and my two friends - we even have a tattoo commemorating having met during our sons hockey seasons and walking there for coffee during practices. Met up with my sister for a coffee and bite to eat. This place is a solid four star no doubt about it. Decor is super simple and typical for a coffee house. But they have pictures up on the wall by local artists that you can purchase. These pictures help to brighten up the place. We order a muffin and sandwich to share and each had our own coffee. I went with the eggnog latte. Mmm. It was hot sweet and caffeinated. The muffin we order was a raspberry coconut muffin. It was still warm to touch and was awesome. Moist and flavourful. The cafe offers a small menu of different panini sandwiches and a house made soup. We order the bacon guacamole grilled cheese sandwich. The ingredients were fresh and paired well together. The guacamole was a bit hot and I ended up burning my lip but it was so delicious I kept eating. Overall I give kudos to my sis for this great pic out of Spruce Grove. read more

I had my first experience at this wonderful location this morning. Great service and amazing food were both at the top of my mind as I left. I had the meat lovers panini and a caramel mocha and both were fantastic. Yelp helped me find this gem as it's a little off the main drag where you would see the big chain spots and I'm so glad I decided to try it as I passed through town. A local staple. The drinks are delicious, as is the baking. I've never personally had the food but my partner and friends enjoy it. It's a really bustling place - there's usually people having coffee, meeting up, studying etc. That does mean sometimes there isn't a free place to sit. Luckily it's located nice to a nice park with lots of benches and a skating rink with Christmas lights in the winter. I really like the extras from other businesses they have such as teas, yardzee etc. They're a real local neighborhood hub. I don't always find the staff to be overly warm but they're never rude. read more

So this place is a hidden treasure if you aren't familiar with Spruce Grove and Stony Plain. It's a small mom and pop place, no franchise here. The selection of coffee is outstanding, they have pastries and sandwiches. The line up of soups from their menu always sound amazing. Thanks to COVID-19 this place has had to reinvent how they can do business. You can't go sit and have a coffee like before. You can walk in and take out but that doesn't make things easier for the owners of this small place. All isn't lost though, they have an app that you can order from. You can order for pick up or...you can get it delivered right to your door. You can order on a Friday and have a fantastic coffee or tea and soup delivered to your door on Saturday morning. It's a small place with amazing people who are working as hard as possible to ensure your coffee or soup is hot when it arrives or the off the charts mango smoothie is cold at your door step. It's time to look towards the local joints and see what you can do to help local. We have had delivery for the last two weekends and we will continue. Thanks Perks Coffee House owners and staff for continuing to serve Spruce and Stony with all the extra demands of adaptation and cleaning you have to deal with on a constant basis while keeping the standards as high as possible. Finally found a nice little quiet coffee joint in Spruce Grove that isnt starbucks. I always feel so cramped in starbucks stores There isn't even a single macbook in here! Had a strawberry yogurt smoothie. No complaints. Very quiet, open, well laid out. Power plugs for the powered users. I think I even see a permanently mounted micro USB phone charger. Very nice and modern/new. Someone put some thought into this place and it really shows. Furniture is above standard coffee shop. Some vinyl chairs in the seating area, a bar height row of chairs along the windows and the pretty standard 4 person tables. Service was good as far I can judge from my brief ordering. Music isnt overpowering like some places but still adds ambiance. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have now been to Perk's 4 times, and I am loving it! I love the flavor of their coffee, they make the Lattes just right! I am so grateful for the Almond Milk.
