Doc's Super Vac Air Duct Cleaning

Doc's Super Vac Air Duct Cleaning

I've been having issues with my dryer in my relatively new (6 year-old) house for the past two…read moreyears. Slowly but surely, my run cycles to dry my clothes went from 45 minutes to over two hours at times. I called multiple companies who weren't licensed to be on the roof where the vent exits the house, but luckily, Doc was recommended by one of them. I sent a message on the website and received an email back that Doc is extremely busy and the next available appointment wouldn't be until June. However, Doc gets his HVAC work done during the days and, if he has time, heads out to do the dryer vents at the end of the day and end of the week. I was just clocking out at work when I got the call - he could be at my house in 15 minutes. I rushed home and minutes after I got there, Doc was there too! He grabbed his ladder and headed up to the roof. Minutes later, I heard a strong vacuum that persisted for about 10-15 minutes, then Doc came to the door. He was done! I wrote him a check (very reasonable pricing and who knows how much he has saved me on electricity of running that thing), and he was on his way! I wish I could've seen what he sucked out of the vent, but after working all day, I'm sure I couldn't have distinguished what was mine and what was the rest of Fort Collins'. The test batch of laundry was next - lots of towels added to the clothes because for the past two weeks I was afraid of my house catching fire with the clogged lint in the vent, and hadn't done laundry in far too long. After a thorough wash, I threw everything in the dryer. Less than 45 minutes later, they were finished! Completely dry throughout (even the thick Carhartts I tossed in for good measure) and smelling fresh! Thank you, Doc, for saving me time, frustration, and money! Totally worth the investment and I've already recommended him to all of my neighbors!

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! They accidentally sent me a report they said was for my address but…read moreconfused it with someone else's house, a mistake that cost me HUNDREDS of dollars. Our HOA requires dryer vent inspections every other year, so I hired the Dryer Vent Squad of Ft. Collins to inspect my dryer vent. Afterwards, the DRYER VENT SQUAD of FT. COLLINS sent me an email report saying my dryer vent hose was completely disconnected. They said they could fix it, but it would involve busting up the drywall to get at it, and they don't repair drywall. They sent a blurry PDF photo with the email to "show" it was disconnected. After months of wrangling with the HOA to determine whether I or the HOA was the party responsible for this repair, the HOA said it was all on me. Since it was essentially a construction project to repair it, it took me a year or so to save up the money to do it. I finally called a licensed contractor to open the drywall and reconnect the dryer vent hose, but when the contractor opened the drywall and visualized the whole length of the vent hose, they found it was NOT actually disconnected at all. I told the DRYER VENT SQUAD OF FT. COLLINS about this. They checked my account and said they actually MADE A MISTAKE and sent me the WRONG info and photo -- it was for a different address. While they refunded me for the inspection, their mistake cost me over $500 to have the drywall torn out, repaired and re-painted, all for nothing because of their mistake. When I asked THE DRYER VENT SQUAD OF FT. COLLINS to cover the cost of the contractor ripping out and repairing the drywall, they ghosted me and wouldn't even offer to share the cost. Do yourself a favor and FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. I found out the hard way that this business CANNOT be trusted.
