My two year old daughter and I attended the Mommy & Me class and it was super fun. Compared to other Mommy & Me classes in the area, it is certainly the most affordable, only $40/6 week session. They offer dance classes for all ages. Everyone there was very nice, especially the owner, Stephanie. She then wanted to try hip hop so I put her in the summer camp for hip hop and she loved it. Well when the time came to re register her for fall classes, I took too long and the classes filled up. I wrote the staff explaining how much she really wanted to be in hip hop. Next thing I know I got an email confirming the hip hop registration. I love how involved the staff is with each and every student. I love that anytime I go in to pick my daughter up from class, it's nothing but positive enegery. This felt like a ploy to spend more money as we had to wait with five children around arcade games. When it was finally our play time the kids were called back. (There was only one other family waiting to play). Their play time was supposed to be twenty minutes but instead of receiving the whole twenty minutes to play, the prep was rolled in it, as well as debrief. They went in at 2:03 and were walking out at 2:18. Although they had fun it was disappointing to not get all the play time you were told you'd get. There was no one waiting to go in after them so I don't understand why it was so rushed. The person working was kind enough but couldn't answer any of our questions.

The food should be more available there are plenty of local vendors or at minimum allow to bring your pizzas and drinks than it's on the customer. We even ended up adding one more session and they were super accommodating to our schedules. Krystyna was our teacher and she is super high energy and helps you gain confidence in the dance moves she teaches you. She presents a plethora of options so that you can tailor your dance to how you'd like and what you're most comfortable with rather than her just decide for you. We loved our entire experience at Fred Astaire Chesapeake and would recommend to anyone that is considering - DO IT! The classes I attended were small and all women, we were made to feel very comfortable and told that this was a safe place for us to express ourselves. The dance fitness classes are fun and energetic. The pace is moderate and the teaching style is repetitive. You learn the routine in sections and repeat each section before adding on. By the end of the class you will likely be doing the routine four times in a row to music. I'm thrilled to have found Marquita and her studio, offering classes that make you feel sexy and sensual while becoming fit, toned, and fully comfortable with your wonderful body.
