The assistant manager came out of the store and told me I was no longer welcome -- not because I did anything wrong, but because I repeated something I heard one of their own employees say. I didn't use any bad language or cause a scene. Instead of speaking to me respectfully, the assistant manager came out yelling and told me I wasn't allowed back. I felt disrespected and embarrassed. If employees are openly talking about personal matters in the workplace, they should expect that people might hear and comment -- especially when they're doing it on the job. I expected better professionalism and customer service. This situation could have been handled with maturity and respect, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

I stayed behind to try to rectify any mistake, even though it was solely their fault, but they werent helpful and very unprofessional. Their behavior could have easily lead me to an easy lawsuit against Chevron. This was on Saturday August 26th 2023 @ 8:30pm. The attendants were two middle aged latina women who were rude, tried to cover their mistakes, steal from their customers, etc. The gentleman I spoke with, the other affected party told me this: He paid $80 for gas but realized no gas actually came out as his tank was empty still. He went in to try to fix it and they only gave him a $50 credit. Apparently, that went to our pump after we put our credit card in and said that we stole his and Chevrons gas. We only pumped $9.32 before the pump stopped and one of the ladies came running out to yell at us. I tried working it out logistically, but the employees kept trying to power trip us and ended up running into the back room for some reason. Then they kept pulling BS tactics so I left. I venmo'd the gentleman as a gesture of kindness and told him good-luck. I am going to follow up with a formal complaint with corporate. If theyre not careful, Chevron could face a big lawsuit as this is illegal extortion, and gentleman said this actually wasnt the first time something like this happened at this location PS - this is a Chevron, not a Shell (maybe recent change)

I put my credit card in and start pumping. After 2 seconds, it clicks off, I try it again, clicks off, try again, clicks off. I ask the clerk what the deal is and he says oh yeah we've been having problems with that one. Here is the thing. The difference between knowing that there is a problem and knowing that there is a problem and doing something about it to prevent pissing off a customer are two different things.
