Came to pay for gas. Employee (older gentleman) was on his phone barely looked up and when I was going to pay (I had a roll of quarters I was clearing) he's just said I have to many already and refused service. I live close by but I can see now from others why it's normally empty. Edit: went back and to pay with cash. Clerk was checking the bill and while I asked for his name and if it's self owned or corporate. It's self owned. Plan on going back to get a contact. read more

I finally found a complete gas station. They have all regular grades of gas and additionally they have E85 and 100 octane.

Always have trouble pumping gas. The valves keep stopping. I give up and buy somewhere else

I was already having a hectic day due to moving from OC to LA. Moving is not my favorite thing to do, which is why my brother and I had stayed at the previous OC rental for 3 years, but it was time for us to move up to LA. I rented a uhaul and began the commute up to LA. Halfway through the gas light notification turned on, so I had to pull over to fill the tank. I used Google Maps to find the closest gas station and ended up at this one. Due to COVID-19, the station was fairly empty and I appreciated the openness of it as it made me pull up with my uhaul with ease. I began the process of filling up until my CC decided it was fraud. I ended up confirming the charge was legitimate and proceeded to fill up. I hopped into the truck and was on my way. Halfway through my drive, I felt the dreadfulness of feeling my pocket empty of my wallet. As soon as I arrived to my new apartment - 35 minutes later, I confirmed that I did drop my wallet. I called the station immediately and spoke to the helpful attendant. I frantically explained my situation and the attendant let me know that no one had turned in a missing wallet. He then suggested he would go out of his way to check and that I should call back in 5 minutes. As I waited staring at my watch for the time to go by, I received a call 2 minutes later from a Long Beach number. Turned out the attendant found my wallet! I was still at the beginning of unloading the truck, so I explained I could not be there just yet, but he let me know he would give it to his coworker as his shift was ending soon. I was finally able to retrieve my wallet couple of hours later and was ecstatic to find not a single thing missing. Both attendants were extremely helpful and made me feel so relieved. I truly cannot thank both of them enough for their kindness. read more

I just got $10 at pump #1 a little bit ago and something is really fishy here. I drive a 2021 Highlander Hybrid. Gets about 35 mpg. Tell me how I put in what was supposedly 1.667 gallons and my mileage until empty only went from 8mpg to 17? Reported to LA County Weights and Measures. Tried calling the location directly but nobody answered and voicemail isn't set up so no way to reach them. Hopefully the county does something about them read more

I hate writing reviews for places that are so mundane.. But as a Yelper I' am obligated to let the public know about all of my experiences.. good and bad.. The 76 on Cherry is all bad.. I hate coming here. The only way I will end up here is if I'm running on fumes. THE BAD - The credit card slots on the gas pumps themselves reject my card almost 100% of the time. (For whatever reason ATM cards work rather well) - On more than one occasion the gas pumps stop working whilst fueling. - You have to literally hike up hill to get to the gas attendant who is about a gazillion feet away (ok I'm exaggerating but it is still far) The gas station itself is very nice. The facility is very clean, it is located in a nice area, and the attendants are cool. But the technology and the mechanics of the gas pumps have failed me more than once. (Today in fact) Maybe I'm being a prick.. but I hate being inconvenienced for something so banal. (Go up the street to Chevron.. Gas is the same price) read more

one star for location only. older man behind counter stated that he was the owner when i questioned why the pump had stopped before desired amount had been reached. He stated that he didnt know why and that i should just not complain and start pump again. When i asked him who he was so that i could complain to the owner he stated that he was the owner and there was nothing that anyone could do about his attitude because he had been there for 20 years. NEVER should customers tollerate such unjustified disrespect..............and from other reviews, i suspect there are others that have experienced the same........i happen to be an employee of P66, formerly Conoco Philips 76, and i intend to pursue this complaint a tad further......perhaps P66 has a policy of kindness even outside its refineries because we dont conduct ourselves like that as a company. read more

I get gas here at least twice a week on my way into work. They keep the pumps, trash and window washing kept up most of the time and the lines move quick. I don't go in the c-store often but the when i do for some coffee or supplies for road trip the staff is efficient enough and about what i'd expect form a c-store. read more

I think that this is one of the most expensive gas stations in this area. Everything in the convenience store is pretty expensive, generally speaking... It's a little scary if you come at night - - people hanging out in front of the convenience store in groups are a little intimidating if you have to go inside (who hangs out at the gas station anyways??), and considering that the pumps are kinda tagged up, it just doesn't seem very safe. This is generally my last resort gas station (if I am low and forgot to get gas and really need some - and it's close to my house - and if I don't have my little girl with me - lol - then I will stop here), but definitely not somewhere I go regularly. read more

I'm glad 76 is open for buisness! The Chevron down the street never has change and the employees never come off well. Always cleans and lunch freshly made if I was hungry. Left with what I needed, gas and ice. Oh yeah and some change. Thanks 76!!! read more

THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN. I feel obligated to let the public know after two separate experiences here. Both times, it involved the older man who is the store clerk here most of the time it seems. The first time, I entered to pay, noticing two large guys that seemed to be visiting or hanging out with the store clerk. They walked in as I was paying and started glaring me down and closing in on me. One of them, trying to intimidate me and get me to respond to them, loudly said to me "Later, Bitch" as the store clerk did nothing but laugh. He was clearly on their side. Then, I had to go back about a month later because it was an absolute emergency. Another customer came in after me yelling at me about my appearance as I paid and as he got closer, the store clerk laughed more and did nothing to even stop a possible issue with customers involved. It's just not safe here. Plain and simple. This store clerk invites his shitty friends here to basically hang out and verbally assault women with hopes of intimidation. Spread the word and stay away. This can't be an isolated incident. read more

So, I am awake late at night but I can't stop thinking about one of the most terrible experiences of my life. Earlier 6/7/13 around 8:30 p.m., I was waiting for the "Geek Squad" at Best Buy to diagnose/fix my CPU(computer brain). Me, my husband and my two children(13 & 15 years old) had been at best buy since 7 p.m.. My children were getting hungry since they had not eaten dinner yet. I decided to walk them directly across the street to the 76 gas station to get a hot dog or hamburger because the gas station has advertised in big lit up letters FOOD MART. When we walked into the store, the heated station which should contain these items(hot foods) was empty. I then asked the clerk did they have any hot food. He exclaimed, "No, nobody ever comes in here for hot dogs or hamburgers and if they do want hot food, then they just go to Del Taco or Mc Donalds because it is right down the street. I responded, "Oh, o.k." I then allowed my children to get chips and a slushie to hold them over until we were done at Best Buy. The slush machines already slushed ice was on the top half of the machine and the dispensed product was pure liquid. There was a button in the front of the machine which showed a picture of the wheel mixing the product(to combine the slushed ice and liquid when separated). I pushed the button and within 5 seconds, it was back to normal and my kids were filling up their second cup of the slushie product.......All of a sudden, the clerk yells, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I responded politely that the slushie product was not combined and we pushed the button on front to fix it. He then screamed, "Why would you do that? Do I go to your house and turn things on?" He rambled on yelling through the entirety of his rampage. I simply stated, " You know what, nevermind, we just won't buy what we intended to. Kids put your stuff down on the counter and let's go." We were walking out of the store when I asked him his name and told him that I was going to file a complaint because he has very bad customer service skills. He now yelled that I was to get out of his store before he calls Signal Hill on me. I was very upset at this point and stated back, "call them, what are you going to tell them that YOU were yelling at ME?" ...I then proceeded to walk out of the door when he yelled, "Yeah, keep on walking, I should go start up your car like you started up my machine, Oh wait, you're walking so you don't even own a car haha." I couldn't believe the audacity of this store clerk. He humiliated me and showed no customer service skills whatsoever. I will NEVER go to this store again and rate it a big fat 0 stars..........Oh but I ended up walking back across the street to Best Buy and spending $400.........400 dollars well worth it just for the excellent customer service I experienced........
