On our drive from LA to the Aquarium Of The Pacific, my husband found a Costco relatively nearby to fill up the van. We're local to Las Vegas, so anytime we could find a Costco in California, we tried to gas up there. The Costco Gasoline lines went pretty fast, considering it was early morning around 9 A.M. The Costco area does have beautiful views of the city area though. There are several lanes, and two gasoline pumps in each lane. We only waited about 10 minutes to get a spot. There were some cars trying to parallel park to get into a spot though, which was interesting. I haven't seen that before in the Costco Gasoline stops in Las Vegas. Great find! This is my favorite Costco gas station. Both for proximity and prices. They offer all three types of gasoline. 86, 89 and 90. Always self serve but they will help you if you have a handicap. I feel that this Signal Hill location and the One in Garden Grove have the lowest prices. The further South You Drive into Orange County the more expensive it becomes. It is one of the busier ones though, and the traffic is not routed very well due to space restrictions. The best time to go is either around 6:30 AM or late in the evening. You might also be lucky and not have to wait in a long line after the morning rush-hour between 10 and 11 AM. It's great when you can just drive through get your gas and be on your way. You cannot get cheaper gas anywhere else. Yes the line is long but it's worth it, savings of a minimum .10 to .50 a gallon. There are attendants in case you forget your card, they are helpful and will use a master one. But now it's all digital. They're still helpful with gassing up the car. No issues with gas so far, assume it's good enough. read more

I've been coming here for many years now. This place is by far the best gasoline in town for your bucks besides paying for the yearly membership to get this service. It's still worth it. The only reason for this rating is the fact that the line to wait can get ridiculous. There will be extremely long delays to fuel here. Sometimes, I wonder if it is the wait worth it or not. If you have the time, yes! But if not, it is best to fuel across the street. Time is money! The staff here are very fast at responding to issues like small spills or even card issues. They are on it. I typically buy my gas at this location since it's nearer to my home. Most times, the lines are long and sometimes block regular mall traffic, but they split once you get to the pumps. The lines could be eliminated if they removed the concrete planter beds in the parking lot allowing for 8 rows of cars instead of 4. Also, because the gas station is always so busy, they could add a 3rd pump to each row (there's plenty of room to do it). read more

Every trip to Costco (the store itself, the food court, gas station) is always a choice of going or not based on how much space you have left in your 'putting up with aggravation' tank for the day. Cause frankly, is there anything at Costco that you MUST get THERE? Not really. But the price for gas is quite a bit less than anywhere else, and one always feels like they need to take full advantage of their yearly membership fees. Only two cars deep but 10 cars wide, which I think should be the rule (do NOT force anyone to have to parallel park to get into a spot). It doesn't matter which side your tank slot is on, since all the hoses are long enough to reach to the other side so you can pick any lane. You will physically need your membership card (the mobile app doesn't work at gas stations), and can only use a Visa card to pay. And be prepared to sweat a little if you are the type that gets nervous when doing a unpracticed task while hurried people behind you are waiting for you to finish. Of course, there are plenty of folks who will take their sweet time regardless of how many people were behind them (their attitude: "I had to wait, so you are going to wait"). read more

25 minutes in line, two pumps broke down, After being moved from one line to another and waiting for another 7 minutes they moved me to one of the broken pumps. Yeah! that was about it. Went here after work because I was about to run on fumes. I usually try to go to this Costco since it's the closest cheapest spot. The line was over 10 cars deep, but it only took me 10 minutes to get to the front. The line went super quickly. There are 16 pumps, and there are 4 lines that split and become 8 lines. I am glad it wasn't too crowded or at a peak shopping time, because the set up leaves a lot to be desired. There are 8 Islands, 2 sides per, 2 pumps per, so 32 pumps. That isn't a lot of pumps. Best gasoline prices in Southern California! I believe that this Signal Hill location of Costco Gasoline has the best prices of Southern California! I didn't think that anything could be lower than the prices at Costco Torrance ($3.31 regular), but... a better, lower price was found here in Signal Hill! Yay! For example, today (9-19-18), Regular gasoline at this Costco was $3.25 a gallon. Closer to the airport, Chevron was $3.81 and Shell was $3.77. This location also seems to be the closest Costco to the Long Beach Airport (about 1.5 miles away... maybe 8 driving minutes).
