LOVE THIS PLACE! They have so many options and are now serving edible cookie dough! The shave ice is phenomenal and I'm a sucker for their Tamarind flavor. Im also a big fan of their refreshers! 808 is the perfect place to sit down and hangout with friends. The employees are spectacular and the service is so quick! I recommend 808 to all! If you're looking to cool off and beat the summer heat you have to check it out!! They are also dog friendly and offer free dog bowls! 808‍

The first time I came here I got my boyfriend and I the tigers blood and coconut slush with whip cream, ice cream, and jelly pearls and those were both super good. The photo is the second time we went and we got a different flavor and it was still really good! 10/10 would recommend.

I was craving a shaved ice treat and thankfully found one in Avon Lake. The ice is soft and finely shaven with not too sweet syrup. I highly recommend the tamarind and passion fruit syrup. I also had the guava, but it didn't really taste like guava to me - just ambiguously sweet and fruity. My husband had a cookies and cream milkshake that he thought was fine, but nothing to write home about. A small shaved ice is actually pretty darn big and the mochi I added on top were soft and chewy! The young lady who made my treat even took time to color coordinate the mochi - Would definitely come back!

    I loved the shaved ice!

I recommend eating it outside because it does melt fast but it is soooo good! The service is amazing and they were so kind!

Very quick service. Small but definitely colorful! My boyfriend and I went with the Ohana. Which was cotton candy, pina colada and blue Hawaiian. It was entertaining to watch them make. It's a seasonal place, and open 4-9PM.

Couldn't be happier with our visit to 808 Shave Ice!! Crazy how GOOD and DIFFERENT it is than any other place! First off - all employees were super friendly & in a great mood. The menu was awesome and they had some July specials. My friend & I both tried the Deep Blue Sea (blue raspberry type lemonade) with tapioca pearls.. the best!!! Even had cute little starfish in the bottom! Was so perfect for a summer day. I cannot wait to go back and try the special Hawaiian coffees and smoothies.. and shaved ice! Even the ice in my lemonade was different.. gosh, it was PERFECT! Go get you some 808!! They also have a location at the Cleveland Zoo now :)

Great Hawaiian ice, extremely slow service. 3 workers and no line, it still took 15 min to get our 2 ices.

Shaved ice is exactly what the name sounds like - it's basically ice shavings, topped with condensed milk, fruit, and/or asian toppings like red bean, green bean, boba, mochi, etc. Shaved ice does not exist in Cleveland, as far as I know. Shaved snow is a cross between shaved ice and ice cream. Think of it like taking a pint of ice cream rather than a block of ice and making shavings out of it. Then add the toppings that I mentioned above. These guys debuted their shaved snow at the nightmarket last week. Their shaved snow is very good! Tasted exactly like the shaved snow you would find in California or New York. I love these guys just for that! My one qualm is that they are lacking in Asian toppings. As of the time of this review, they have red bean, mochi, boba, fruits (like strawberries), and cornflakes (?!). Bring some small and large red bean, green bean, ai yu jelly, grass jelly, lychee, and five stars it is! They do NOT have a storefront, but they said they would be getting a truck soon!

So, if you don't know already, shaved ice is a classic frozen treat in many Asian countries- often topped with sweet toppings like fruit, red beans, mochi, etc... It's an amazing treat, especially when the heat rises. There was quite a line to get a taste but it gave me the chance to my choices. The brothers James and John, I think, we're very friendly and answered the questions people had patiently. I got a traditional ice with condensed milk and raspberries and mochi. It was tasty, though I would have liked to put more ingredients in mine. Good quality raspberries and finely shaved ice made for a refreshing treat. It'd be nice to have one that had The Works so you could get a sample of all the toppings. Next time I'll get the red beans, and it'd be nice to get other traditional ingredients like sweet corn. Looking forwards to coming back again. Great job guys!

I wrote a review of the Cleveland Heights Koko Bakery a few years ago but I finally checked out the main location in Cleveland's Asiatown on a Sunday afternoon in Spring 2026. It's cute, cramped, and very popular! The aesthetics at the other location are a bit better though. More seating too. I was in the area and just stopped by for a quick treat. In a space no bigger than my basement, I swear there were like 30 Gen-Zers enjoying some $7 bubble tea and picturesque desserts. There wasn't much left in the baked goods container when I was there but I picked up a matcha red bean bun ($2.25) to eat for dinner later. There was still quite a bit of stuff in the desserts case though! There is a minimum $5 purchase for credit cards so I paid in cash. The treat was good and held up well for a few hours when I finally ate it. The food here is quite cheap although the drinks are not. Parking is not easy here fyi but that doesn't seem to deter the masses!
