    Strawberry and mango pastries

Drove over an hour to check this place out. And it did not disappoint. Friendly staff. Food was great, came out fast and hot. And made sure I got a couple of the desserts frozen to make the drive home when they heard it was an hour plus drive. Lots of flavor in the chipotle sub and chaat! The mango and strawberry desserts were amazing!! Saving the honey cake for tonight lol

Met a friend here for brunch on Saturday and they weren't busy so we ordered and got a seat right away. You place your order and pay at the counter and then they call your name and you go and grab it. Their savory menu is pretty limited, especially for vegetarians, so I got the egg and cheese sandwich since that was pretty much my only option. It comes with cream cheese and shredded cheese though which did not appeal to me so I asked for it without. They have a good variety of tea though and they also have boba. They had a boba spritzer (sparkling water instead of milk) which I had never seen before so of course I had to try that! There were multiple flavors to choose from - I went with blue raspberry and kiwi popping bubbles. The sandwich was good and I felt the price was reasonable. The boba spritzer was really good! I wanted to try one of the viral fruit pastries but couldn't bring myself to pay $15 for one. They aren't even that big and it just seemed a bit outrageous. All in all a decent spot and I enjoyed what I ordered, I just wish they had more non-dessert vegetarian options.

Been waiting to try these viral fruit pastries and so happy to try them!!! Each pastry is around $15 and I got the pistachio, strawberry, blackberry, and blueberry. They give your frozen options if you aren't going to eat them right away or fresh ones ready to eat. They really are quite flavorful, delicious, and filling. They are pricy but I'm happy to support a local business who is embracing their creativity and baking skill! This place also has coffee, bubble tea, and savory small bites to pair with a nice study space. There is also ample parking.

Walked into this cute cafe (don't mind the strip mall it sits in) on a quiet and calm, yet chilly afternoon in the Cleveland suburbs, and we were greeted warmly by the staff -- note that there are MANY items off the rustic chalkboard menu :) The Pani Puri and Gulab Jamun cake (SPECTACULAR) paired perfectly with the House KarakChai, with other offerings including Saffron Chai and Masala Chai. Would recommend ordering a full-size cake or Samosa Chaat for your party needs!

I am having mixed feelings on how my review should go. I walked in to complete chaos.. they had a private party going on, not enough staff I waited over 35 minutes for a cup of tea that was unfortunately not very good. I ordered classic karak tea. It was not as good as I was hoping for. This is under new ownership and people are eager to try it out, so the place was packed. I will try the boba tea next time and hopefully will have a better experience.

If you are looking for an authentic Indian chai experience, look no further. Karak Chai offers a wide variety of traditional teas, appetizers and desserts. Everything we tried was authentic and tasted great. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and were able to find street parking easily. The decor of the shop is cute, and ordering at the kiosk was simple; they have a pretty extensive menu so, whatever type of drink you're looking for, they probably have it! We got the coconut matcha and a mango matcha milk, both of which came out pretty quickly. I was unfortunately a little disappointed with the color of the matcha when our drinks came out; it was a very pale green, and didn't taste like they used high quality matcha powder to make our drinks. My boyfriend was also disappointed by the coconut matcha, which didn't taste as good as he expected. I thought my mango matcha, on the other hand, was delicious! The mango flavor was strong and sweet, but not overly so, and I enjoyed my drink! Overall, we'd definitely come back, but probably try different drinks since it seems like this shop doesn't specialize in matcha.

I wrote a review of the Cleveland Heights Koko Bakery a few years ago but I finally checked out the main location in Cleveland's Asiatown on a Sunday afternoon in Spring 2026. It's cute, cramped, and very popular! The aesthetics at the other location are a bit better though. More seating too. I was in the area and just stopped by for a quick treat. In a space no bigger than my basement, I swear there were like 30 Gen-Zers enjoying some $7 bubble tea and picturesque desserts. There wasn't much left in the baked goods container when I was there but I picked up a matcha red bean bun ($2.25) to eat for dinner later. There was still quite a bit of stuff in the desserts case though! There is a minimum $5 purchase for credit cards so I paid in cash. The treat was good and held up well for a few hours when I finally ate it. The food here is quite cheap although the drinks are not. Parking is not easy here fyi but that doesn't seem to deter the masses!

As we were driving through Cleveland, we decided to stop and get a drink. Oolong Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.60) - The tea was way oversteeped, resulting in a very roasted, almost burnt taste. I asked for half sweet, but the sweetness level came out at around quarter sweet if compared to other boba shops. The boba was not good - I could tell it was honey soaked, but it was not cooked nearly enough. Quite hard and not a great texture. What happened to this Kung Fu Tea location? It used to be so good and now it's very mediocre. Then again, this might be a company-wide issue with Kung Fu Tea. Since the pandemic, I've been to multiple locations and I have not been impressed with any of them. I definitely do not recommend this place. I might have to swear off trying other KFT locations too given that it seems like their tea and boba is consistently disappointing.

I stopped in last minute while out running errands. I was seated immediately on a busy Saturday late morning and greeted right after. The menu is fantastic. Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. They have a great drink menu- coffee, specialty cocoas, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and refreshers. I was on my way to see a friend, so I grabbed us each a refresher to go. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room.
