I had some time to look around, inside and outside in the greenhouse, and I saw a lot of decorative items, like statuaries, bird baths and seasonal items that are unique. I'm a fan of plants and flowers that aren't found at every other store so I will go back to do some major shopping when it gets closer to spring. This is not part of a retail chain and is locally owned and oby the owners themselves and I prefer to "shop local" and give them my business. So sad to see this nursery has closed. I wish the owners much success in their next venture.

We stayed at the resort, and I purchased a room package that included tickets to the event, which was definitely worth it. First of all, the corn maze is a REAL corn maze! I honestly could've spent an hour in there just trying to find my way around. The sunflower field was beautiful, especially at night, and made the whole experience feel even more special. But my favorite part was definitely the foggy Halloween section with all of the walkthrough lights. Between the fog, the lights, the music, and the whole atmosphere, I seriously felt like a little kid again! It was one of those experiences where you just walk around smiling and taking everything in. This was such a fun addition to our anniversary trip, and I'm really glad we got to experience it. We would absolutely consider coming back next year! If you're visiting Callaway Gardens during the fall, Pumpkins at Callaway is definitely something you should experience at least once.

If you want to experience the abundance of pumpkin harvest, you are exactly in the right place when you are in The Pumpkins at Callaway Resort & Garden, in Pine Mountain, Georgia. During our visit, we were immersed in the enchanting spectacle of pumpkins that transformed the landscape into a vibrant sea of autumn hues. The pumpkin displays were creatively arranged in various sizes and colors creating the spirit of fall. There were pumpkins carved in lanterns to imaginative pumpkin sculptures. It provided a perfect backdrop as everyone especially the kids and the kids at heart capture delightful photo moments. A destination within a destination, The Pumpkins at Callaway Gardens is a great fall escape.

A lovely place with a lot to see for both adults and kids…read more This is tucked all the way around the lake from the main entrance gate for Callaway Gardens. It is one of several places that I would suggest visiting while you are there. The other locations ot visit are the Butterfly center, the chapel on the lake and the gardens. The Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center feels more like a nature-inspired art gallery than a typical visitor center. It has plenty of parking and is mostly glass on the front and back of the building and is light colored wood throughout. The moment you step inside you will notice that the design is very large and spacious. I was told that it is sometimes used as a wedding venue for its look and feel. From the entrance, you're greeted by an incredible collection of lifelike metal flower sculptures that are amazing. There was even one that showed how they were created. There is a hands-on discovery room for younger visitors--real microscopes with prepared slides. When we visited the room was showing lots of information on bats. Behind the building, there is a Trees & Trails Adventure Course, a cafeteria, and birds-of-prey show at an open air amphitheater. It is a lovely place to visit if you paid for entrance into the park. Even if there are a lot of people visiting, there is plenty of room so it never felt crowded. It's free with admission and is a great first stop in the park with something for everyone. We easily spent an hour here without realizing it. It is definitely a must-see if you are visiting the area.

I have been driving all over different places to go find muscadine that I can eat the inside part of it, and I finally found this place. The owners were very nice, friendly, and welcoming. The drive to get here was pleasant, and it was a very easy drive for me. I look forward to coming back here again. Get lost in the magic of the enchanted forest!…read more It was dusk when we entered into the Enchanted Forest at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. I felt truly enchanted with it as if we were stepping into a magical realm from the pages of a fairy tale book. The cascading fantasy lights were mesmerizing. The pumpkins, giant bugs, butterflies, snakes glowed in blacklights. The Foggy Hollow was a mystical one with its soft blanket of mist draping the trees and anyone passing through. It was incredibly dreamy. The enchanting music, ground fog, the laser river enhanced the enchanting experience. As we went deeper into the forest, holographic displays of woodland critters appeared with the trees in the dark as their backdrop. I found myself glued to it. The Fobbles (fog-filled bubbles) completed the truly magical ambience and landscape. It was fun and a delightful experience that kids and adults loved. It was worth paying the tickets.
