Almost immediately, we discovered that the building soundproofing was insufficient, if not non-existent, and were plagued by noise from the neighbor above us. While providing lip-service to their desire to assist with addressing the issue, the property management team would do nothing to remedy the problem or uphold our rights as tenants. When we were at our wits end and asked to be released from our lease - Haverkamp Properties refused to make any accommodations. Our situation was intollerable, so were forced to break our lease at the cost of thousands of dollars.

We have only lived here for six months, and here is what has transpired thus far. When we interviewed for these apartments, we were told that if our apartment didn't work out, we could just transfer to a different one. We took that to mean simply a lateral move. It hasn't been working out, so we requested a transfer. Now that the time has arrived, we are told we can move, but it will cost an extra $1,000 just to transfer. There is an aggressive dog that lives here, that has attacked our dog. And even though management knows about this dog, it is allowed to stay. I am a male in my seventies, and I was attacked by another resident. Again, that resident is allowed to stay. We DO NOT feel safe here, but are under contract. So now, we carry pepper spray with us.

I was a respectful tenant and spent money and time leaving the apartment BETTER THAN I FOUND IT in hopes to get the 400$ security deposit back. Couldn't afford to pay it upfront at the time so I did a deposit alternative. WHEN YOU DO THAT THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU THE MONEY BACK?!?! Lady on the phone said "it's like insurance it's non-refundable." So all I had to do was pay the 400$ right away to get it all back when my lease was up. I wasn't told that at all. Asked for documentation for proof and they never gave it to me. Deposit alternatives should not even be a thing. Blinds were old and fragile they broke early into my lease and they said they were going to charge 45$ to replace them. Dishwasher wasn't installed properly. Patio door lock wasn't installed properly. Drawers weren't installed properly. Toilet wasn't installed properly. Paint was bubbling on the walls before move in. Wrong paint color on the ceiling to patch I don't know what. Why wasn't anything inspected and replaced before the next tenant? I shouldn't have to pay for the repairs when I wasn't living there prior. Walls are thin and can hear every footstep. LOUD music next door almost every night. Rude neighbors as well, left a trash bag out for not even 5 minutes to put on winter gear and a man knocks on my door yelling at me saying I'm disgusting. Couple months later and he is leaving trash out in the hallway as well. I had to go to an interview one morning and out of all days this was a day my car got towed cause the towing company couldn't see my stickers. I had been living there for a year with the sticker in the same place and he had decided that day was a day to take my car when I needed it most. They don't tell you where to put your sticker specifically. Parking hours are ridiculous. I regret spending my hard earned money here.

I've had several customers complain they did not receive their items set outside the doors. Locked buildings with no security makes very little sense. My boss has even e-mailed indigo and got the same results, we may have to black out the complex from deliveries and do locker pick up only. The pictures of the property look decent but there is nothing spectacular enough about the property to deal with subpar service. I say look elsewhere!
