I've been here a few times in the past month...and while I love 99 Cents Only stores (the one in Folsom, particularly), this one is definitely not my favorite. First, the shopping center is rough. It draws a lot of tweakers and homeless people. Second, they allow vendors to put up booths not just outside, but inside the store. Trying to get in and get out, not get solicited by additional businesses. Lastly, the worst part of it all... they have 7 lanes, yet every time I come in, just 2 are open. Today, I counted 12 people ahead of me. The line not only backed up and blocked the aisle, but it went into the aisle, too! Frustrating when people have an entire cart full of stuff, and then people behind them, like myself, just have 1-2 items. I want to commend the 99 cent team for their hard work! I visit that store on a regular basis. Everyone is always friendly and works hard. They are a good team because they have a good manager. Specially the one who was in charge Saturday morning working hard to decorate the store .I spoke to the manager and told her how nice her display was in front of the store. Everyone was busy getting the store ready for their customers.. there were big balloon bouquets all over the store. I commended the staff for their hard work. It is refreshing to see people working together! These people who work there deserve a shout out. The store manager is rude as hell she looks like she hates her job if you hate it and if you are miserable just quit. Don't make all the other employees hate their job and be miserable like you. I know it's just a 99 cent store but damn !!!! read more

I always shop in this 99 cent store every day, it's always a mess they do nothing with people stealing, there's literally homeless people eating in their aisles and I see the staff very unhappy and I don't blame them there's nothing being done in the store to prevent, but now I don't even see my favorite cashier there Christina Duran. I only seen her once this week she really brightens up the place and would love to see her more there when I shop, I hope everything is taken to consideration and hope to see changes soon. read more

This store is get bad customer services. Food items is disorganized. Staff Poor services. Bathroom never has tissues paper lol. read more

I came in and I was looking around with my mom and I went to the hula hoops and was playing with one and one of the staff came up to me and said " if u are not going to buy it don't play with it" girl u don't if I was going to buy it or not! Also the staff aren't really nice don't really like this place but have to go to it with my mom. read more

This is my go to store when I need to pick up items when I don't feel like visiting the big box stores. I visit the Tulare location more than the Visalia store. They are about the same size, and carry just about the same things. The only thing that bothers me is that not all their items are .99 cents. They have items in the 1.99 to the 4.99 range, so technically it's not a ".99 cent store" read more

It is aimed more towards the lack of good customer service rather than so much the prices. To walk up to staff and have them be short with you when asking a simple question or even more so the cashiers being just plain rude by not addressing you nor acknowledging you is just plain bad customer service. The prices I can get at the next 99 cent store over, which I am willing to travel to just to avoid the bad customer service after waiting in a long line. It is sad really because the staff there used to be so friendly and helpful. read more

Doesn't the outside of the store say 99 cents?! Well apparently not everything is 99 cents. Totally deceiving customers.

I got saw a video about certain licensed make up bags... I can't find them any where in my County :o( I wish it were like the Dollar Tree where you can order online and have the items shipped to your store for pick up. read more

I think its crap how they did the Christmas tree deal this year letting the same family members walk out with more then one tree there a lot of people that are hella poor that were hopeing for one of those tree and to let one family take more then one tree because their identification cards have different addresses bull crap bad way tk do it ahould of went by last name and a few other things this was one of the sad things I ever seen- read more

One cashier will typically be open with up to 10 shopping carts waiting. Milk sometimes has dried yucky stuff on it. Cleaners sometimes have something on them that leaked from something else. Place is messy. Unsavory people often shopping there. Dirty feeling. But they do have ramen noodles cheap.. read more
