Absolutely amazing service. Very affordable and fast. Painted inside of our house upstairs and downstairs in a matter days.

I don't know how the other positive reviews came about, because our experience with HMC Contracting…read morewas pretty bad. We had our enclosed patio redone... It took forever, and once we were in the process I couldn't wait till it was over. It felt like the Three Stooges were sent to do the work. The painting had to be redone several times -- their "team" clearly had no idea what they were doing. We had to have them rebuild the door at least twice, because the quality was truly subpar. Six months later, the door is already showing age (see photo). They were careless with the space (inside the patio, and in the surrounding garden). They never cleaned up after themselves. I had to entirely cut back one of the plants behind the patio because it was so badly broken. I'd find nails and debris around outside that I would have to throw away; they brought plastic, but barely covered our patio furniture (so I did that myself); and they broke one of our side tables. Attention to detail was absent -- I've attached photos of just SOME of the trim corners that do not match up -- there are gaps instead. Chad and his son Adam were nice enough, but we were paying for something that should've looked excellent in the end. It looks OKAY (if you don't really look at the details), and it was no fun getting there. I would absolutely suggest using a different contractor.

Deck Solutions We…read morehired Deck Solutions to tear down an existing deck and build a new one. Andy is a very likable man and talks the talk. We used him for the deck inspection before we purchased our home and liked him. We did get another bid to tear down and build our deck and that bid was 10k more. We never saw a formal plan for the deck but we discussed in detail what would be done. No permit was pulled as the deck would not be attached to the house and it would have added to the final expense. In hind sight, we should have pulled a permit. I am not new to construction and had concerns early on with the layout of the supports for the deck. The holes were dug and the 4x6 posts were installed in the ground with concrete that was below grade and not crowned. I was unaware at the time that minimum code requires 6x6 supports and that our quote specified 6x6's. I trusted Andy. I also noticed that the supports were not aligned or level height. I spoke with Andy and he assured me that he knew what he was doing. As the work progressed, they were using nails instead of screws to attach the decking. I asked about this and was told that the screws would not last as long as the nails and that in recent years the quality of the screws had worsened. I began to question everything and started researching deck requirements in Tennessee. I learned that Dickson county uses IRBC 2017 requirements. The deck has to be built to code. Permitted or not. When the deck was completed it was not to code and is unsafe. I hired and engineer to inspect the deck and his report showed the major issues with the supports being incorrect size, improperly installed and the span in several places exceeded code. One area was not supported at all. The guard rail is improperly installed and not to code. I can move the railing without much force and parts of the deck are ten feet in the air. The joists are not correctly supported and over spanned in several areas. The stairs were not done to code, the gates don't work. Trying to be a fair man I sent a copy of the report to Andy. He argued that he knows better than the engineer but he said that he would make the repairs as time permitted. He and Waylon came out several times and added some supports, tried to fix the gates and added some structure to the weak areas. The last time they came out was kind of an FU! The upper gates are worse than before and I don't trust them to do anything. In hind sight I would not let them build a dog house. We payed north of $22,000.00 and I have to rebuild my new deck. The nails make it so I will have to ruin most of it taking it apart. Do not use this company. They are not qualified.

They're now laying rock under my deck and not just throwing it down but beautifully. "FINISH " is the most important root of word "finishing" as carefully done finishes is what separates the well built beautiful work vs just average. My hard earned money to invest in this project has never been so well spent. Thank you Brandon Helms, and your team! Built by Peak! #2 Update for the SUPERB BRANDON HELMS PEAK CARPENTRY! We are now in day 3, and Brandon and his crew, Hunter, and Brandon #2, are one well oiled machine! The hermit in me is able to be alive and well as I DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING, NOT ONE DARN THING! I've never, in 30 yrs of home ownership, experienced such professionalism while being courteous as they are respectful of my HOA neighbors re parking, my property, and as important, the project of my new long awaited, deck! My anxiety situation is NO ANXIETY! Stay tuned! #1 I'm still in planning decision making stage for replacing my deck; however, I've decided on Peak because of Brandon Helms. Yes, their reviews are excellent. But it's the way Brandon has: 1. On time to appt 2. Competent Assessment of my present sub structure 3. On time estimate with all of the options I requested from repair to complete rebuild. 4. Response time to emails 5. His patience in his responses are incredible as he receives my questions by acknowledging their importance to me and offers suggestions, etc. 6. And will include some basic concerns in our future contract which gives me confidence. Now, I once had a great experience initially on a large project and sad to say didn't end well. But as with everything, sometimes one has to jump in and pray. I will with Peak. PHOTOS COMING

My entire experience with Just Decks, LLC has been very unpleasant. From day one back in October,…read morewe agreed on a deck repair project that was supposed to start the week of Thanksgiving and take only three to four days. Instead, it dragged on for more than three months, and they finally finished in the middle of an ice storm, leaving the deck dirty and several screws not properly tightened into the composite. I understand it is hard to work in icy conditions, but the quality and care were still unacceptable. The company now seems completely disorganized. Communication only happened when they wanted money: first the 50% deposit, then more requests while they blamed "material delays" and other excuses. The project manager would disappear for days, then briefly show up with new promises about workers coming or materials being on the way, but nothing was done on time. In the end, the repair was completed, but not to my satisfaction and with a lot of stress and frustration along the way. They take your money upfront, then stop answering and leave you feeling stuck. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this business.

Update 3/7/2026: Reeves visited today, so as it stands, it seems they're interested in resuming…read morework on the project to bring it to completion. Will provide further updates as they happen. Just Decks worked consistently from October to the end of December and I was pleased with the work...but then it all changed abruptly and without good reason, and they have not returned in two months to complete the job they permitted for and agreed to. Since receiving a third payment from us in January, no more work has been done. Reeves stopped by briefly with an associate and both gave me conflicting dates about when they'd be back out. Initially, Scott said an order of materials was causing delays, then an email from Reeves said it was an issue with an employee, and the most recent excuse via email is that ownership is changing hands, but also an employee issue, and they admitted they didn't actually order the remaining materials they blamed for delays and will need more money to order them, and we're supposed to trust that when they can't provide a timeline to complete the remainder of the project. Again, we haven't had workers arrive since mid-January. There's a big hole left in our attic--the attic space is open and exposed from demo. Some of the decking materials meant to be used on our deck appear to be warping, since they were left without proper supports in place. Insulation has flown out of our roof and is scattered around the yard. And now we've been asked to send more money to a company that misrepresented the reason for the initial delay, has been MIA since receiving a third payment, cannot even confirm when they'll return, and has given multiple excuses for their absence in the last three months. I would have preferred to give Just Decks, LLC a great review and many referrals, instead of this.
