The furniture restoration was a big undertaking, and we really wanted to work with the right restoration business since the furniture has sentimental meaning to me. Mr. & Mr. took a thorough look at the pieces before giving us an estimate and proposed timeline to complete the project. They were great communicators and took care to understood our needs - we wanted the furniture to look nice again without losing the character and charm it has gained over the last 60 years. Over the course of the project, they continued to be communicative, sharing frequent updates with us along the way. In the end, the furniture was completed on time, within the bounds of their original estimate, and looks absolutely amazing. We are so happy with the quality of their work and we felt like they were just as enthusiastic about our beloved furniture pieces as we are! Since they did such a good job with our furniture, we were happy to hire them again when we needed our apartment painted in preparation for new tenants. Our building is old and has plaster walls with a lot of cracks, so we didn't feel like we could DIY :) Again, they did a great job, recommending paint colors that would lighten up our space and coming by with swatches for us to test out. Once we chose the color we liked best, they did an awesome job making our walls look great. Again, they were communicative, on-time, and on-budget, and they even touched up a few areas of trim and our building's common hallway that weren't a part of our original request. They came over and looked at the two jobs - living room and porch - and explained what they do which included moving all furniture and pressure washing. They left a color palette to choose from and clearly explained our finish choices (matte, semi-gloss, etc.). The room they painted took one day. The porch took a few days between pressure washing and weather issues (a few days were too cold and a couple too wet), but they didn't leave us guessing if they were coming, they communicated the issue and let us know when they would be back. The staff painter was professional and worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done. A supervisor came out to inspect each job after they were done, which added to our satisfaction with the work. We will call them again when we decide what to do with the rest of our rooms!

I was shocked to be dissatisfied. High stakes, he was made aware of: we're about to put the house on the market, I am super physically disabled, and we were going to be living in our basement with toddlers while they did this. It is not a cakewalk to have them here--but, I told my wife, "this is the guy --he's an artist. That damage? You'll never know it was there-he's a magician!" Not on this job. The magic was his disappearing at the end, knowing he'd a) not done something explicitly requested, b) absolutely tanked a corner of a room, not even trying, c) not checked his or his partner's work and d) not done a walkthrough with the customer after a large detailed job. This was a two day job stretched needlessly into three. Business owner arrived after 10:15 every day and left by 4:30, leaving at 3:15 the last day. Lunch averaged 90 minutes. I paid $3305 in total. [first four photos] a room, $350 for these walls: Repaired identical drywall tape errors in another room, just missed this floor-to-ceiling eyesore on the day he was doing prep, and instead of fixing it and staying the extra time, just painted over it. Photo of particles from a roller in the same room. [second four photos] photos of specific spots sent to painter for repair/caulk/paint, they were simply not done (part of a $600 package to repair/caulk/paint around ten separated trim spots). the baseboards in this room (for which we paid for trim to be done) were fully untouched. [next two photos] a ceiling requested to paint, he just decided didn't need it and didn't mention it until asked about it after he'd left (he did not charge for it). [next two photos] trim lines run on to walls above, the wall color is visible through the white, the wavy line apparent from across the room. $150 per room for the trim. [next four photos] drips, drips, blue paint thumb print on framed artwork, no mention. Spent hours scraping up drips on hardwood in every room they painted. [next five photos] sloppy work and a missed area on a porch ($450). Staples on that post at little kid height? Just paint over those, they'll never notice. Chastised me for complaining and saying I couldn't work with him again (I initially didn't ask for any money back, I simply reached out to tell him he'd blown it), instead of just asking him to come back and fix the work. a) It's so funny, the instinct to instruct others on how to complain, and it's even funnier when it's not accompanied by taking genuine responsibility, looking at a photo sent and saying 'Jeez, that is bad, I'm better than this -I'm sorry, man' b) He'd been told several times the house was going on the market after his work, making the coming-back-to-fix-it not a thing, and he was totally inconsiderate of what it means for a family living in a home to hide out with small children while contractors work. Bottom line: If you have an empty house that needs painting, and you don't mind checking the work and having him come back, he is gifted when he wants to be. If you're living in the home, find someone else. Because we keep finding mistakes and have to stare every day at the things that were the WHOLE REASON WE PAID A GUY 3K AND LIVED IN OUR BASEMENT WITH TODDLERS, I have now asked for a 33% refund. I will update here if one is given.

I initially opted to wash my hands of this company and not leave a review but after finding out…read morefrom a friend they'd posted photos of our home on Facebook as examples of their work, I felt the need to chime in. The final paint job is not their work, it's mine, because his crew did a horrible job on it. Paint on the ceiling, all over the vanities in both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. I repainted and repaired nearly every surface they touched because whatever compound they used to patch holes started peeling from the walls (although they hadn't sanded or properly patched to begin with...merely painted over leaving huge marks all over our walls. Some holes weren't even patched and some screws were left sticking out--see pics.) Not to mention the fact you neglected to install gaskets on every single water fixture--three new faucets and all three leaked. Two new tub fixtures and both moved and had to be repaired after you left without completing a final walkthrough. My dad found two of the three drain pipes for the sinks leaking in the vanities. In the upstairs bathroom they'd actually installed the wrong size gasket. And they weren't just a little off; it was twice the size it should have been but instead of going out to buy the correct size to do it right, they shoved it in and left it. A toilet your crew left marked up with a black, hardened mess, deep scratches on our closet doors, terrible install on our kitchen backsplash? Even the small refund you ultimately paid us doesn't account for the time and work and additional contractor we had to bring in to fix what you did. Brand new vanities weren't covered before they painted, paint left on our new tile because they didn't cover the floor or take care around the shower surrounds--very basic things that ANY contractor should do, they didn't. They actually left a couple of trim pieces simply propped up against the wall and never bothered to attach them! A few weeks later, I was washing dishes at my kitchen sink and heard water trickling in the ceiling above me. After calling my husband down and trying to figure out what was going on, he suggested I go upstairs into the second bathroom All Trades renovated and pour water into the overflow drain. Sure enough--there was a huge splashing sound in the ceiling above him. Lucky for Jim and All Trades, we discovered their improper install before it was too late and yet another leak caused major water damage. I do NOT recommend this company. I also suggest you consider removing the photos of our home from your social media accounts as they do not accurately reflect the quality of your work.
