My family and I have gone to Rudolph's for years to buy shoes. This last week, I had the worst…read moreretail experience ever there, and I don't plan on returning. It was Tuesday evening December 20th. After having to ask one of the four salesman to come help us (no other customers in the store) these are the highlights of our experience. We were told (all with a dismissive attitude): 1. They don't have a way to measure children's sizes even though they sell children's shoes. 2. They don't know how to read different children's sizes. (i.e. 2 VS. 10W). Instead, just continued to read the numbers on the labels to me. 3. Their children's shoes don't have Velcro. (Not, I'm sorry we're sold out of children's shoes with Velcro or something else more plausible.) I have worked in customer service for years, and I would have never treated a customer with such a flippant and dismissive attitude. If this was a new hire, coworkers can be asked, there's always smartphones and Google, and there is simply 'I'm not sure, but let me find out for you.' When I was working in a new field, I had to say this a lot. In doing so, I learned about the industry and gave my customers a positive experience. We put back the shoes we had found and hurried out the door. I really hope this was a fluke experience, as buying shoes from Rudolph's has been a tradition for my family whenever we came together.

Crooks. I fell in love with high leather Steve Madden 90s style boots but when looking closer I saw…read morethat the glue was coming apart where the sole and shoe met. You could see it because the glue was white and boots black. I told an employee so they could do whatever they do when that happens. The lady told me just to color the glue with a black marker. Mm no thanks. So I said no thanks and she said okay I'll just probably color it with a black marker. She did. Her and two other employees stood at the desk and sharpied defective boots and put them back on the floor to sell. I feel bad for whoever buys them.
