Talked to several roofing companies to repair the 60 year old red tile roof on our 2 story Mediterranean remodel . Wasn't having much luck as everyone wanted to replace the roof until we talked to Soroush at A1 Roofing who explained in detail their process of lifting the existing tiles, replacing the membrane with a new longer lasting material and then replacing the tiles and matching new tiles where necessary. To make a long story short, A1 Roofing handled all of the permit requirements that we wanted worked clean and long and the job turned out beautiful. I highly recommend using them. It was a cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire roof, which wasn't necessary. The roof couldn't be nicer and we went with the rustic install where a little cement is used on every tile this is in keeping with the beginning California mission look but not too rustic more appealing than the cookie cutter perfectly aligned tiles , thanks guys. Soroush did an excellent job with the roof inspection for a previous home I was considering and for this home. He was efficient, flexible with timing, always open to my questions and clarifications via text/email, didn't upcharge me in his quote when I noted some additional things from his inspection report and the general inspector's report that needed to be fixed, and reviewed all the photos taken by the repairmen after it was complete to answer one of my questions after the repair. The schedulers were flexible with my schedule to plan the date/time of the repair, and we picked a time when I would be home to supervise all the work, which was my preference that I communicated with them. My one complaint is that the repairmen arrived earlier than the time I was told they would arrive when I had specifically scheduled the date/time so that I would be present to supervise for all the work on my home. Even though I arrived well before the planned time for the repairmen to arrive and start, the repairmen were already up on my roof when I arrived. They should change their motto to "Here for the big jobs, but don't call us for the small ones". I had my entire roof replaced with them a year ago and paid over $43,000. This year I had to upgrade our electrical panel which entailed cutting through part of the roof. When I contacted them to do the smaller repair they quoted me $3000 and basically told me that they wouldn't make any money off the job and they wouldn't do it. This is how they treat return customers who have thousands upon thousands of dollars with them? In fact, the guy on text message, Chris, told me I should call a handyman to do the work. I'm honestly appalled and beyond disappointed and makes me really regret my decision to have them replaced my roof a year ago. This is how you treat a great customer? I contacted three roofing companies for bids on what appeared to be an isolated issue. All three inspected both my five-year-old roof and a newly built extension, added less than four months ago. Two companies proposed replacing half of the main roof, with one even suggesting that I also replace the entire new section. Matt from A-1 All American Roofing, was the only contractor who agreed that the main problem was indeed isolated and did not push for extra, unnecessary repairs. He noted that some areas might need maintenance in the future but assured me nothing was urgent. A1's quote was much more affordable & included the maintenance --less than a quarter of what the other companies charged--because they weren't trying to overcharge me. Their team responded quickly during the rainy December-January season, which helped prevent further ceiling damage and saved me money. a1 all american roofing replaced the roof or my office. in so doing all the roofing material went inside the open ceiling building as they did not cover the ceilings and then gutters and drain boxes were not protected from the loose roofing material which clogged the drains and caused a flood. they did not want to take responsibility for the damage. They reluctantly filed a claim with their insurance except that to date they have not been able to communicate or move forward to solving the issues. Wow - was I blown away by Soroush of A-1 All American Roofing! As a Realtor, property inspectors are the lifeblood of our business. I had called a roofer I had been using for years to do an extremely important roof inspection for me but after several phone calls back and forth, they just couldn't get me on the schedule. Another agent told me he had just come from a property inspection and A-1 All American Roofing was there doing a roof inspection and the inspector seemed extremely knowledgeable. I called and requested an urgent inspection and Soroush came out the next morning. Not only that, but he texted the night before to confirm and then texted the morning of the inspection to let me know he was on his way and exactly what time he'd be there. And he was. Instead of just glancing around the roof and going into the attic, he took a solid hour for his thorough inspection, then explained his findings to the buyers and me. The next day, I received the most detailed report with photos, explanations, etc. Best of all, he wrote in his report that after giving it more thought, he came up with a much less expensive fix for a worn out area of the roof than he had originally thought.
