He is a mechanic and before taking it in, he took a look at it and saw that is was all melted. It is sadly common for the car and we opened up a case with Hyundai. Hyundai said it is likely to be covered if we take it in and get it diagnosed at the dealer. They said in the case that the repair is not covered we would have to pay the $150 diagnostic fee. So We took it in and were told it shouldn't be more than 24-48hrs. We told them exactly what part was having the issue. A few days later after still not hearing anything about it,, WE were told that the part we asked them to look at still had not been looked at and they need an additional $313 for further diagnostic. We tell them we should not have to pay this because we told you what part had the problem, it has not even been looked at, and it's been way longer than the 24-48 hrs. They said they will talk to some people and figure something out and we still never heard back. Our case manager was working with us to try to make it right and at just over the 2 week mark we are told the only way it can be finished being diagnosed is if we approve the $313. Immediately after approving the additional charges they look into the part we told them to look at in the first place and they say that it was the problem and it will not be covered and we are stuck with the bill. We were without a car for over two weeks. Being a college student that also works full time I needed a way to get to work and school and they would not give me a rental car either so I had to borrow money to buy a cheap vehicle so i could keep working and going to class. Please never take your vehicle here unless you want to have them charge you for getting nothing done.

He needed to have the vehicle towed to Canton. Henderson Towing & Auto Repair in Oak Park told us it would be $250 and the wait would be 1 hour. Instead, we sat and waited over 2.5 hours with 3 phone calls to obtain an ETA, and got the run around each time. So, using Google I found T&T's Towing. I told the gentleman our situation. He was told the vehicle was also an AWD (because you can only use a flatbed with AWDs), and our location. He gave us a very reasonable price, told us he would be there in 10 minutes, and he was! He held to his word! Upon arriving, he was courteous, got the vehicle loaded onto the flatbed, and delivered it to the repair shop as requested. If I ever need a towing service in the future, I will be calling T&T's Towing.
