I am leaving this review not because of the move-out cleaning itself (as that is still to be determined and this will review will be updated accordingly, if necessary), but because of the deeply unprofessional, coercive, and ethically sloppy conduct of the owner/manager, Kimberly Gonzalez. I paid $150 upfront as agreed. Prior to the job, I was explicit--in writing--about my maximum budget and that any flexibility was conditional on being informed beforehand. Instead, once the team was already on site, the price began to escalate in real time. First, I was told the total needed to increase to $250 (an additional $100 over the $150 already paid). When I objected--because this exceeded what we had discussed--I was then pressured for "at least $50 more," framed as unavoidable because the workers were "overtime" and the clock was running. In other words: the terms changed after work had begun, and my consent was treated as irrelevant. The justification for this escalation was frankly bizarre. I was suddenly informed that the kitchen sink "drained straight to the bottom," implying a plumbing issue--and then implicitly accused of previously managing this with a bucket or bowl. Let me be clear: I have been accused of many things in my life, but secretly concealing a fictional plumbing failure with a bucket is not one of them. There was no known sink issue, and in any case, plumbing problems are not a cleaning surcharge, nor are they something a customer should be financially ambushed over mid-job. What followed crossed from unprofessional into coercive. I was repeatedly told that if I did not immediately pay more, Ms. Gonzalez would have to "come out of pocket," that there was "no time to go back and forth," and that payment later was not acceptable--despite the fact that the back-and-forth was initiated solely because the business changed the price after the service was underway. I was even asked who the homeowner was, an irrelevant and inappropriate question in context. At one point, Ms. Gonzalez explicitly stated that she does not care about bad reviews because she has plenty of good ones. So, respectfully: if you don't care, then here it is. Small businesses deserve support. Workers deserve to be paid. What customers do not deserve is to be pressured into paying more than agreed upon, blamed for unrelated household issues, and emotionally cornered into compliance while being told their prior boundaries no longer matter. I ultimately paid the additional amount simply to end the interaction. If you choose this company, understand this clearly: -- The initial price is not final once workers arrive -- New "issues" may appear without advance notice -- Budget ceilings may be disregarded mid-job -- Communication becomes pressurized and inappropriate Proceed with caution. read more

I hired this cleaning service to deep clean my home, which is 1,294 sq ft. We were charged $465 when the original quote was 300-450. However, two rooms weren't cleaned, one because my mom asked her not to, and the other (mine) because they believed it was too messy. The kitchen is newly remodeled and didn't need much cleaning either. So realistically, we paid for the full square footage, even though a portion of the house was untouched. To be fair, the cleaning itself was well done in the areas they did clean except the bathroom shower doors. The crew was very respectful to my mom and the owner herself was friendly and asked for feedback. I did give her honest feedback after the service, but she left me on read, which felt dismissive especially given the cost. She also offered to return biweekly for $165 every two weeks, which again felt high considering the experience. I don't normally leave Yelp reviews, but this was just not good. I requested a full deep cleaning, hoping to get my space paint ready. I was quoted $200 for 2 hours for my 200 ish square foot apartment. Unfortunately the service I received was rushed and not done 100%. The employees were done within less than an hour and a half and when I did a walk through, I noticed that the areas I specified that needed attention were not done completely. When I brought this to their attention, they tried again but again rushed through, leaving the space still undone. I'm disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and thorough cleaning for the price point. There was unswept dust in the floors, surfaces undusted or even wiped, my kitchen sink was not cleaned, they dumped the mop water into my white rock flower beds on my patio, the window sills were not done, and my walls were not paint ready. Kimberley, the owner, attributed these short comings due to a staffing issue. She told me that they hired someone new and are missing a crucial member. Unfortunately, I was not reimbursed and when that was brought up in conversation, Kimberley stopped texting me. Initially I gave a 5 star review, however since then I have been extremely disappointed that getting a SIMPLE INVOICE from the owner for a 7-8 hour job is proving to be impossible. I've contacted the owner Kim numerous times now and she continues to blow me off. She has no issues collecting payment in full the minute their team finishes, but when it comes to customers needing a simple invoice she is no where to be found. I really needed some help with my house. My upper arm is broken and I'm really limited on what I can do. There were 5 cleaners that arrived The bathroom was spotless when they left. The kitchen looked good at first glance but I told them that cleaning the refrigerator and mopping the floor was most important. They mopped the floor but didn't touch the refrigerator. I was dissapointed. In the bedroom all I specifically asked be done was that they change the sheets as I can't. They did not and the night stand and lamp was not dusted either and there were a couple cough drop wrappers left on the floor. **update** I paid for a DEEP CLEANING. 4 people for 2hours and 45 mins that's equivalent to paying 1 person for almost 10 hours of work. The total was just over 400$ and with my 50$ discount I paid $362. I have left my original review below because what I wrote was true. The ladies came earlier than scheduled, they did clean inside my stove, toaster oven, and did my fans but they did not do BASIC cleaning, they did things I specifically asked them not to do, they threw away my razor and my tupperwear, and they threw away or vacuumed up my wedding band (which was in ring dish in the guest bathroom drawer, the ring itself was still there but the band was gone). Normally I wouldn't leave it if cleaning people are coming but I was already at work when she asked if they could come that day instead of later in the week. Kim tried to make it right and she wanted me to let them come back and clean what they missed but I did not want them back in home. I felt uncomfortable asking for money back as they still put in time (not sure where exactly). I sent her pictures of their poor work and told her to show to help them be better and if they can't finish a job then they need to let the home owner know before they leave. I have had long term services come in over the last 8 years and I have only had one bad experience where someone tried to copy my key and come back into my home. But even that person did a great cleaning job. Kim came referred but I feel like they did only a couple things well, skipped over basic things, and didnt even do a basic job well let alone a deep clean. When I got home to do the walk through with one of the ladies at a glance it looked and smelled nice. They left lines in my living room rug to show it was vacuumed. She opened up the stove to show me it was cleaned inside. At a glance each room had been tidied and cleaned. When she was walking out she noticed dust on one of the entry frames and touched it and said they missed one, but then she continued to check 2 more frames and apologized that they girls must have missed the entry way. Kim hadn't given me a price and said if I left reviews I could get a discount so I went outside to bbq and write her some reviews. So after I bbqd for my kids I started checking other items more closely. My entry way frames and snow globe hadn't been dusted. The little piano and few frames also had not been dusted. The entry way sconces had not been dusted (all at eye level). My kitchen counters- the butcher block had thick dust and had not been moved to clean under or behind so there were little dead spiders in the corner behind it. The stove was clean on the inside but looked like they ised the rag from the inside to clean the outside as well as the outside of the dishwasher. Dirty swirly water all over both. The toaster had not been dusted. The touch points on cabinets and switch plates had not been wiped from little takie chip finger prints. My stainless steel stove top had been scrubbed and scratched up. In the mater bathroom they said the shower trey "is embedded with scum that cannot be removed" by the way I cleaned it myself after and it's perfectly white and I've never had a cleaning person not be able to clean it. They unpackaged all my toilet paper and lined it up behind the toilet and I guess mopped or spilled water because they were all soaked and ruined. 7 rolls of toilet paper. The front guest bathroom looked great at a glance but had dust still on the vanity. My very nice razor was thrown away. My wedding band which was there before I left for work was gone when I returned. *Original* Kim got me in quicker than expected and was able to fit me in before Easter. She got me in even earlier than my scheduled time which I wasn't prepared for (my counters had things out and my kids had toys all over the livingroom) but the ladies did a wonderful job. They did particularly well in the bathrooms. They got inside my stove, toaster oven, microwave, and did my ceiling fans and sliding door tacks. I recommend them for a good deep clean. read more

We placed a request for a quote on Yelp and Kimberly responded within 10 minutes of the request to set up a time for an in person quote. She was very informative about the services her company provided, how long it may take to complete the job, and offered a promotional discount for $50 off. The house I had cleaned is a rental with 4 bedrooms, an office, 3 full baths and is 2600 sq feet. When Kimberly came to give a quote, she was very communicative and let me know her ETA, how many hours and how many workers she'd have on her team to come clean, and gave me a quote via text right after she left the house. I'm impressed by how communicative and professional she is. When it came to cleaning the house, the 3 workers spent 4.75 hours on the house and left it spotless. We are very picky and border obsessive with how we like things cleaned, and her team left us feeling great about their work. The previous tenants did not leave it filthy, but I would certainly not want to live the way they did. Overall, I would highly recommend A-1 for your cleaning needs. I will start by saying I have tried many of the companies listed in the area, and this is the first time I've felt inclined to write a review. Kimberly was extremely accommodating on such short notice after I paid someone else to clean my home the day prior (aka I requested A-1 Cleaning services to redo the work of someone else) Communication was exceptional, timely and respectful- not pushy. The three women who cleaned my home were also great. Claudia did a walk-through with me and had superb communication skills throughout the entire service. She explained all that they would be doing, and ensured it all got done. My home is now actually clean to my standards! It looks, smells, and feels clean. The pantry was wiped out, cleaned and re organized. Cabinets cleaned to shine and they even cleaned behind my appliances (including the fridge!). This was my first time ever hiring a house cleaner and I am so happy with my results from the A-1 Cleaning crew. I requested a quote late yesterday evening and Kimberly responded almost instantly answering all of my questions. Once I felt comfortable proceeding with her business, she was able to get me scheduled for a deep cleaning the following day and even gave two discounts for a quick booking!! The ladies that came to the house were kind and hard working. They asked me to point out where I wanted them to focus on and sure enough, they did each of my requests to the best of their ability. My primary concern was my laundry room, specifically the washer and dryer. The ladies pulled them away from the walls and thoroughly cleaned the whole area and the appliances themselves. Another concern was my black fabric couch that has been continuously dirtied by my three year old. They were able to get a good portion of the spots removed and it looks so much better! I had a regular deep clean and we focused on the bathrooms, kitchen, and master...they really cleaned up my walls, baseboards, light fixtures, cob webs...I mean they really covered it all. my microwave was sparkling clean and they even scrubbed my blinds. However, like a different reviewer, I too suffered sticker shock at the total fee due once everything was said and done. This was a big shock given I had asked for specifics on charges and a rough estimate upfront to avoid misunderstandings. Well, I ended up with a bill total of twice the amount expected. I can't help but feel deceived. Moreover, while the dirties bathroom was cleaned well, everything else was only okay.
