Came in for two issues: 1) My car was making a knocking…read moresound whenever I turned the steering wheel 2) Needed new tires I had received quotes from a couple other businesses in the area and brought them with me on my visit. I always come prepared so I don't get taken advantage of. For issue #1 (knocking sound), they were able to fix the issue cheaper here than at other shops, mainly because they just replaced the strut housing instead of the entire strut. I was happy to save some money on this issue. For issue #2 (tires), I brought with me a quote from Pep Boys up in Tucson that included four new tires with a 65000 tread life warranty. Jesus said he could match that installed price for tires that also included 65000 mile tread warranty. However, now, a month after the service, I decided to research the tires they put on my vehicle just to make sure everything was kosher (I know, I should've done this immediately, lesson learned). Unfortunately the tires they put on are Goodyear Assurance Finesse which have NO tread life warranty. I wish I had the service done at Pep Boys for the better tires at the same price. So I'm going to have to knock off a couple stars for that. It also took them almost two weeks to fix the above issues. Jesus said it was because they didn't realize the strut housing was more pieces than they originally thought, and they had to order the extra parts in (they did not charge me extra for them). I'm just glad I had a backup vehicle I could use because it would've sucked to not have a car for two weeks. I'm not going to take any extra stars off for this since, in fairness, I told them they could have the car as long as they needed since I had a backup vehicle. I just didn't think it would take two weeks. One other thing to be aware of is that they charge an extra 3% if you want to use your credit/debit card. Overall, I feel a little disappointed about the tire issue, but the knocking sound hasn't returned a month after I had the service done, so they did that part well.

Also while they were doing my diagnostics they somehow got water inside my door... (it was raining when they had the car) - they did remove it after I complained and nearly lost my snout over it. But over all! This place is garbage! Also if Carvana recommend you to them! Bad idea! (Go find your own mechanic to do a real diagnostic on your car!) They cover up everything wrong with the car basically but will still do whatever to have you come out of pocket! Highly disappointed and never returning. -10/10 would never recommend

I had purchased the 2007 corolla from a dealer in el cajon the week before after I personally inspected the vehicle so i knew it had new front pads and ok rear shoes. To be safe i knew they had to be inspected before the trip back and being so far from home and my normal circle of mechanic friends and relatives ( not to mention tools and a loaner lift ) I took a chance with mark's auto repair due to there great reviews. I was glad i did. Not only was mark able to get me in almost immediately but he inspected (found to be filthy ) then cleaned and lubed my front and rear brakes for less than the cost of inspection ( .35 hr shop time ish ) at most other shops i have been to. I have been wrenching on my own stuff as a teenager thru early twenties and have worked as an automotive service writer/ advisor and general manager at a very busy shop in my hometown thru my early fifties . I was honestly expecting for this unknown (to me) shop to try and unnecessarily upsell me a new set of shoes and drums . I was pleasantly surprised to find an honest ,old school, knowledgeable and upstanding mechanic right out of google on the first try in a town where i know no one. Told me they would give me a military discount over the phone but didn't honor it at the store as my "service was ineligible for the discount". I overpaid which was fine since Sierra Vista is really limited, but what really upset me is that they didn't put the cover over the starter and left it exposed. This lead to another issue a couple of days later and they didn't want to take responsibility because the car was out of the shop and not their problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
