we had this place for waste pickup for a year and called to get a dumpster. we talked to Biller who is the manager, he is the most rudest, unprofessional person. he said the dumpster would be there on the following Tuesday and acted like I was bothering him by asking for more services. them when I asked if they gave military discounts he stated " uhh no out prices are low enough we don't give those". I messaged the following week and then was told he had to wait to make sure the order was even put In and then after he kept getting rude with me to the point I gave the phone to my husband he informed us that he needed to come out to the house and they would not be bring the dumpster. Then I called a different company to get new service somewhere else and they knew exactly who I was talking about without me even saying his name. when I called back to cancel services and why, she said that was the manager and I told her it didn't change anything they stated, "that's fine by us" and hung up. this company is a complete joke. read more

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Regular pick up of Garbage I agree with Ricardo E., if I could give them zero stars I would. Terrible quality, terrible attitudes when you call, terrible service all around. We have a community that is an HOA, the HOA is only formed because the private roads are maintained by the community. (Roads are chip and seal) A-1 Disposal serviced our community for years and we started out with an agreement that they would not come into the neighborhood and will have to have a standard pick up truck come in to get the trashcans to take them to the main county road. Over the years we allowed A-1 to come into our community WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that they will not turn around in our cul-de-sac. For the last 5 years we have called and asked to have their drivers trained on the rules of coming into our neighborhood. But we still find them doing whatever they want on our private roads. I recently called up asking once again for them to correct the situation and I was handed to the owner who proceeded to argue with me on the phone and threaten to call the cops so we can talk to them about it. Again we have private roads the police have nothing to do with it. We as a community will be filing a cease and desist letter so they are no longer allowed in the neighborhood. That is how bad this company is, and the owner certainly doesn't deserve any customer since he doesn't respect the fact that the reason he has a business, is because of the customers. read more

NEVER USE A-1 Garbage service. They have over charged me for 4 months and refuse to return my $200 I have been a business customer for 30 years with them. The supervisor Bill was very rude & defensive. He also belittled his sales person in front of me. read more

First off, let me say that if I could give them ZERO stars, I would. On April 13th my wife contacted A-1 Disposal Services over the phone. She was quoted a dumpster service for $159, and they said every time we needed a Dump and Return it would be a $40 landfill charge. Those were the only charges mentioned. Their website also doesn't include pricing, so you can't double check what they tell you. We were driving from Houston, TX to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where we own a property at the time this call was made, and I saw my wife writing down what she was told over the phone. She still has the notes she took with the pricing she was quoted. She gave them our credit card information so we could place the order for the container, and they said our credit card wouldn't be billed until we were done with their service-- Since we didn't know how many times we'd need them to bring the container back. They brought the container on Monday, April 15th. We ended up needing 3 dump and returns. Every time we called the office, they confirmed that it was $40 for each dump and return (landfill charge). There were never any other charged mentioned, any of the 3 times that we called to request the dump and returns. The initial $159 plus $40 dump charge x3 = $279. On April 22, our credit card was charged $275.00. $4 cheaper than we expected, but close enough to what we expected to be charged, we thought nothing of it. 2 MONTHS later, we got an invoice in the mail from A-1, for $626.58. We had no idea why they would send us that, and thought they had mixed us up with another customer. When we talked to them over the phone, they gave us totally different prices. They said the service we requested was $275 for the dumpster to be brought out, plus $200 for each time we requested to have it brought back, plus $40 more that the dump charges. That's totally different pricing from what we were told on the phone initially. If they'd been honest and upfront about their prices in our initial phone conversation, we never would have hired them. So basically what they're doing is quoting people a very low price over the phone, and then they turn around and bill you for 3 times the amount YOU'VE ALREADY PAID!!! And since their website looks like it was made by a high school sophomore and doesn't even have pricing, there is no way to confirm the pricing they tell you- you are literally at their mercy! My wife called them today and spoke with a "lady" about the extra charges, and hopefully get them cleared up. She yelled and threatened to send us to collections, and then hung up the phone. Ultimately an extremely unprofessional and shady operation they've got going. I truly feel they're out there to rip you off!! read more

We called on a Thursday to have an A-1 dumpster removed from our driveway and taken to the dump on the following Monday. Thursday afternoon we went to add trash to the dumpster and discovered it was gone. We called on Friday morning to rectify as we would be charged for each pickup and dump. Michelle claimed that we asked her to pickup immediately. She was obviously was not listening when we made our pickup request. She refused to make the situation right, and hung up on me when I asked her to do so. As a result, we went to ABC Disposal, who have been very professional, accommodating, and courteous. read more

This unit was supposed to be picked up on SEPTEMBER 6, 2018.....and here it is SEPTEMBER 14, 2018....blocking our access to our garage and creating an ugly eye sore of rust down our driveway! Multiple complaints and requests have been reported! read more
