WE HAVE NEVER USED A1 Plumbing before. We wanted top Quality Service, no Excuses. I called their number, Aianna picked up immediately and was extremely pleasant. I made an Appointment. I was dreading that they would send some kid who did not know the difference between a Phillips and Straight edge Screwdriver. Trevor Called us, Was EXACTLY on time. He appeared to be 6' 2" tall, G.Q.- CoverModel looking young man. We wanted a couple little non-emergency things done. He patiently Explained, EXPERTLY on our 60 year old house, things that might be done. He was like the Terminator, No talking on his phone, just Methodically Working Dilligently. We had two toilets switched, (long story) . Each one appeared to be about 600 lbs. He picked them up, by HAND, (AMAZING.!!), AND hand-moved them with ease. Should have taken a phone picture of that.! A few little items and he talked us into $1200.00 in Upgrades that we gladly Paid. As a Professional House painter retired, we tested new painted by not their painting skills, but Caulking Artistic Skills. Caulking is a Complex Skill only few have Ever Mastered, Myself included. His Caulking around our Toilets was Brilliant.! I was Amazed at the Skill of someone so young.! Trevor is THE= 1 In 100 Employees you want in your Company, A Real "Keeper". I would have easily Paid $200 dollars an hour for this guys Expertise and Professional Demeanor. Wherever Trevor got his P.H.D. in Professional Plumbing, A-1 is Lucky to have him. I am a Fastidious Perfectionist and dreaded opening the door to a "I always wanted to work on a Transmission, Boss" type of worker. Trevor renewed my Faith in Young People's Work Ethic. Philip and Mike came and fixed my water break and the point where it connects to the water line. Philip came first on a Saturday when we had a baby shower going on and identified the problem and stopped the massive leak underground that I had without shutting off the main line. He came back three days later along with Mike and dug down 3 feet to fix the problem. They did an excellent job on the repair and putting my lawn back in place. These guys were professional in their approach to the job and very personable as well as the person I spoke to on the phone to confirm the appointment whose name was Kyle. I've worked with A-1 Plumbing on many occasions for remodel and regular maintenance and I love these guys. They arrive in the timeframe they say they will and always call ahead to let you know when they are about 5-20 minutes out. I haven't encountered any A-1 staff that's been unpleasant to work with and that I don't enjoy having a conversation with. These guys were fantastic! I had to call around for a last minute clog in our mainline that was time sensitive and quite embarrassing (as we had guests staying with us.) The operator was quick to assess the readiness of the fleet and assured me they would do what they could on such short notice. Their 3 hour quote was better than everyone else in town and their customer service agent was kind and understanding. Most important (listen close, Walla Walla) they were PROMPT and on-time and didn't show up hours (or even a day) after they quoted me. This is much different from most of the service and contractors in town who tend to just get to you when they feel like it ("Walla Walla Time') As I type this review, I'm currently waiting for their main competitor, Roto-Rooter, to assess a separate issue (not my choice- my landlord's) and they are already 2 hours late and counting. This is standard from my experience in town. The A-1 tech was super helpful, knowledgeable, clear about the issue and walked me through everything he was doing. It was informative and allowed for a thorough assessment for us for a long-term solution. I appreciate this level of service in this community. They will always get my recommendation! read more

We had gone for two weeks with a horrid smell in our back room and bathroom but couldn't figure out what it was. We thought it was a sewer leak, but It eventually went away, we thought. However, we still had the plumber, Jason, come to see how we could prevent it from happening again. He walked into the room, and even though we could no longer smell it and had had the windows open for hours, Jason pinpointed the cause, two dead mice in the wall, within minutes. We had an outdoor pipe burst on a Saturday in the middle of a snow storm that caused us to shit off the water. I texted a bunch of people for plumber recommendations and A-1 got multiple stellar recommendations. They were the only place I called with an after hours line and it took me straight to a person. $89 to come out after hours and $39 to come out during hours, all further cost is the same! They scheduled to come out 9-11 that night and shortly thereafter even got a call from the plumber that he could come right away! Getting a hold of a plumber in town is a pain, no one answers the phone, everyone wants you to pay for them to just do an estimate, but A1 offers the best service all around. I'm 67 years old, and at my age it's difficult to shock me, but boy, did it ever happen! I had a slow draining sink, and after several days of liquid drain cleaners, and fighting with a messy "snake" cleaner; and getting very frustrated, the folks at A-1 plumbing were called. As soon as they arrived, I could tell this was not the average plumbers house call. They were very clean cut young men that even put on shoe covers before entering my home, even though I told them it wasn't necessary. They went right to work, and after a very short while, were able to correct the problem that I had been struggling with for so long. All the while they kept me informed as to what they were doing, and, didn't once try to sell me new parts, or extra repairs! Whoa!! These two young guys were a delight to have in my home. Neat, clean, fast, friendly, and best of all inexpensive. They were so nice that I was actually sad when they finished and were ready to leave. Having had less than satisfactory service in the past, I can only say you can do no better than to leave your plumbing problems in their capable hands. You won't be disappointed.
