While driving my brake pedal felt different, it went lower to the floor to brake and there was a clicking noise - both issues were not there before my service appointment. After my appointment I checked my brake fluid, to see if it had leaked. It was still at the max line and was still dirty.I called the Shop and explained my concerns and they said come by before they close. A fella took my suv and looked it over and came back and said it was fine. Again I expressed my concern and that the pedal didn't feel right, but they were not interested in checking further. The fella at the shop said that the problem probably was the brake master cylinder and power brake booster. He quoted me about $1,400 plus to fix that. I left and went home, worried. Jan 20 l sent an email to the Shop explaining again that things didn't seem normal, and the fluid still looked dirty. That I wondered if there was air was in the brake system. I asked for them to check my suv again. No one replied with a solution.Brakes are important and having the system operate correctly is important for safety. I made an appointment at another shop. They took my suv for a test drive, came back and agreed something was not operating correctly. They showed me the brake fluid they pulled out and how dirty it was, while performing the service and fixed things so they were operating as they should. The $1,400 repair 1 was quoted was not the issue! Jan 28 | emailed 7eighty again and told them I had to go else where to have my suv fixed and new brake fluid added. I had asked for a refund on the brake flush. Asking for a refund I do not think is unreasonable, it's the least they could do. Again after 24 hours I got no response.1 am so upset and frustrated that 7eighty did not do their due diligence in making sure their work was done properly and was SAFE! I feel I have done the right things by telling them my concerns, giving them time to recheck their work and make things right. I would NOT recommend going to 7eighty for service. They do not seem to take the safety of their customers seriously. They lack respect, pride and integrity in the work they perform for customers. BEWARE TAKING YOUR CAR HERE.

Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! After two days for a water pump and thermostat replacement, I picked up my Jeep, and it was barely drivable--shaking violently at idle, misfiring, and with both the check engine and ABS lights flashing randomly. The shop claimed these issues were pre-existing, citing engine codes as proof. However, when they called the day before, they only mentioned needing to "burp" air out of the engine to improve performance, with no mention of misfiring or warning lights. If these issues were "always there," why weren't they noted earlier? My girlfriend and I drive this vehicle regularly and can confirm it was running fine with no shaking, misfiring, or warning lights before the repair. I paid $1,200 for a service that left my Jeep in far worse condition, barely able to make it home. I absolutely know the shop caused these issues and is blatantly lying to cover it up. I'm furious and will never return. I strongly recommend avoiding this shop at all costs.

I originally paid for an inner tie rod repair and an alignment service as per the shop's recommendation. The exact same day I picked up the vehicle from them, there was a prominent creaking/clicking from the exact side they worked on. I had to leave for Calgary early next morning, and could not return immediately to have it addressed. As soon as I was back in town, I brought the vehicle straight back to them to have it addressed, but they completely dismissed the noise. About a month later, the outer tie rod end has developed play, resulting in clunking while driving. A part doesn't just instantly give out right after a technician finishes unbolting, and handling it while working around it. Given the immediate timing, I have a hard time believing that this is merely a coincidence. When confronted, Nav, the guy I had been dealing with, tried to distort my timeline claiming that the noise started after my trip (completely false btw), to avoid liability. He offered to cover only the basic installation labour, but refused to adjust the front toe-in/alignment required to make the car safe to drive - demanding me to pay yet ANOTHER $130 for alignment. I feel that they do not stand behind their workmanship, or take responsibility for my valid concerns, and instead expected me to pay to make the vehicle safe to drive again, even though it wasn't making any noises prior to the repair. Based on my experience, I would avoid this shop if you want peace of mind.

I was a customer a few years ago and right away I noticed the shop area is just as clean as it was back then. Spotless! The reception area is spacious and has comfortable furniture for waiting. The job was done and the total cost for changing over the old tires, mounting 2 new ones, high-speed balancing, and mounting on the car .... $50. Finally! Work done on the car quickly and well, without getting financially soaked. And very nice people.
