I got married a few weeks ago and I use A-1 Wedding Rentals. Our event was in McKinney, so their location in Denison was actually closer than all the rental companies in Dallas off of 35E. I ordered tables, chairs, plates, several kinds of glassware, table cloths, and a popcorn machine. Everything arrived on time, clean, undamaged... well almost everything. They had accidently brought a box of wine glasses we didn't order instead of a box of all purpose goblets. The driver said that they would return the next day with the missing piece of the order, but we never did see him. That being said, I also didn't follow-up with them to ask about it. It was no big deal for us as we didn't need a full set of goblets. The party went on! Pricing for this company was VERY good, and I certainly spent more than my fair share of hours comparing every rental company I could find. I recently rented tables and chairs for a benefit. Could not have been a smoother transaction. As we were on a very tight budget, I rented the cheapest priced items they had. I picked up the items at their warehouse and was shocked. I was expecting light weight tables and flimsy chairs, NOPE. They quickly loaded my trailer, strapped it all safely and securely down, and I was on my way in minutes. Friendly staff, quality furniture, awesome service. EDIT - I am not a rental company. I called her about my concerns over the tent in bad weather, NOT the other way around. She just skips over the door issue, wanting to charge extra to just to deliver & removing of the tables and chairs. They opted to set up the tent early, we were fine with a Friday delivery. But blame the customer for their decision. Wedding was 5/20, so not 6 weeks ago-lies. I called after I got my CC bill and did NOT raise my voice first. Now she is arguing it on YELP. How professional. Tent was taken more than 24 hours before the event with no replacement given - end of story. NEVER EVER use this company. We rented tables, chairs and a tent from them. When they arrived they brought us less than half the tables we needed and asked for our event. When I called to get the rest of the tables, Jennifer blamed me saying I did not order enough (right I ordered 6 tables and 125 chairs for a sit down dinner of 100 plus people) and then charged yet another fee to bring the additional tables. They also failed to tell us when we ordered the tent we needed a "door" to get in the tent. When their set up guy pointed out we had no door and told me we needed one - I called on this, they wanted to charge yet another FEE to bring a "door" for the tent and charge us extra to have a door in the tent! Every call to these people after the initial one was with Jennifer - the manager, who always put the blame on us and wanted more fees to get what we thought we already had coming. I rented the tent the week of the wedding, due to pending storms. I discussed with them my concern if something happened to the tent. I was assured I was not responsible as long as we personally did not damage the tent. I told them point blank I was not going to pay for the tent if it was ruined in a storm and if I was responsible tell me now, I would not rent it. I was assured they had insurance and I was not responsible if the tent was ruined by a storm. I let them know they were free to set up the tent when it worked best for them that week, we just needed it by Friday for set up of a Saturday wedding. They opted to set it up early in the week right before serious storms were predicted, because that worked best for their schedule-which was fine since I thought we were all protected by their insurance and as the professional tent people they knew what their tents could handle. Several days before the wedding indeed the tent was totally destroyed in a storm. They came and picked up the tent Friday morning before our event was scheduled and we received no replacement tent. In fact they were also planning on taking back ALL the tables and chairs (not damaged) and the day before the wedding intended to leave us with nothing. They literally loaded them on their truck and told us that was what they were told to do. I had to AGAIN call talk to someone and question why we could not keep the still usable tables and chairs. In the end we did get to use those. But certainly that was not an additional stress or complication we needed the day before the wedding! When my credit card bill arrived all the charges were on there. I called them to see if maybe the charges had just not been removed when my bill cycled. It was then the ever rude Jennifer told me that although they got insurance money for the tent and admitted THEY opted to set it up before a major storm to suit THEIR schedule and we never got to use it, they were still charging for the full tent rental. "They are not responsible for acts of God". Implying that I am however responsible for Acts of God, I guess? Jennifer was overtly rude every single time my daughter or I spoke to her during the numerous fiascos of set up and delivery. Jennifer was not the very first person I spoke to that, that was apparently a new person I was told who did not know what they were doing (hence the lack of tent door). The first girl actually was very nice, but apparently had no idea what she was doing-renting a tent with no door and no explanation of door options. But every call after that was Jennifer, who made this experience horrible and honestly seemed to enjoy talking down to her customer and insulting us any time she could. This company accepted NO responsibility for anything that went on here - not once. Nor did they ever apologize for anything - included the lack of door offering. Not only that but when you call to discuss it with them Jennifer talks over you and is so rude it is infuriating. After she started literally screaming at me this last time, I finally screamed back at her and told her exactly what I thought of her. Which is not my normal style, but frankly this woman is impossible Avoid these people like the plague. We used A1 for a Christmas time 20th anniversary vow renewal. They were amazing. The owner personally spent 3 hours touring me around the facility for options, hearing my needs, and understanding the theme we wanted. She kept constant communication with me, and really handled everything. When rain changed our plans, she quickly had a plan B. She turned our garage into a beautiful chapel with curtain panels, chandeliers, candles, and flowers. She personally did all the flowers herself, and they were stunning. We rented her beautiful chairs and turned our home into a beautiful ballroom. We rented a bar for the bartender, she did flowers on the cake and outside fireplace mantel. It was stunning as she even has her own flowers and refrigerator to make selections. They even took live plants and made garland through our stairwell. She even found a way to float flowers in my pool. Jennifer was patient, kind, and by the end felt like a close friend. Her team was friendly, considerate, warm, and thoughtful. We were in Mckinney near Frisco, and they came down for 2 days to do all of this work. I could not recommend A1 more. You will not be disappointed. Do not use this place unless you want to pay for stuff thats already broken and then you get blamed and billed for it. We rented a set of pallet backdrops for my wedding in June and the ones in the showroom were absolutely stunning but the set we were given when we picked them up were absolutely nothing like the showroom set. We asked if they had another set but they told us it was these or nothing at all. They were cracked and the legs were loose as all get out. We when we transported them in the truck, they were laid down on a thick moving pad so that nothing would happen to them. We were extra careful when getting them in and out of the truck. When we got them into the church we had to spend 20 minutes trying to tighten down the bolts that kept the legs tight, but they were made so crappy that nothing was working. After the wedding we loaded them up and took them back to A1 but thats when the real fun began. One the managers came out to inspect them for damage and started throwing a fit and accusing us of damaging all of the wood and cracking the planks when it was literally returned in the same condition we received them in. She threw a fit for several minutes and was completely unprofessional. She finally said that we would receive a bill for all the damages we did when we never did anything to them. So now I owe over $100 in repairs when it doesn't take that much to make a new one from scratch. I've now had several people approach me and tell me this isn't the first time that they've done this. They give you crappy rentals so that when you return them, they can charge you and get more money out of you. I will never go back there. read more

We use them every year for bounce houses and occasionally for cotton candy machines. They have a friendly staff and their florist makes AMAZINGLY perfect flowers for any occasion. We've gotten good luck flowers, prom flowers and just because flowers, and they're always so beautiful. read more
