Do not buy one of these ovens. The promotional descriptions…read moresay "this oven will last a lifetime". It does not. We purchased in 2010 and used the oven regularly. Kept it covered and protected in the winter. It's now cracked and chipping and does not perform the way it used to. Smoke flows out of the cracks. The draw of fresh air is poor. Keeping the fire going is difficult. Customer service is a joke. Tells me the warranty is 5 years. That's fine, but don't advertise that it's a "lifetime purchase". I mistakenly received an in house email that directed the customer service rep to "sell her a new one". Ridiculous.

I scored Forno Bravo low based on that initial experience. It is fair now that I update with a new post reflecting how the company responded. I was amazed at the power of my post on Yelp and I am reminded that we must be accurate, fair and professional. I believe I met those principles. As a result of my post Forno Bravo's leadership responded immediately and in a very positive manner. Every successful company listens to feedback and takes quick steps to understand the issue and apply smart changes that result in improvements. They also stand by their customers making sure that ultimately the service and products meet the expectations of both parties (Basic TQM (Deming) approach). End the end, everyone wins. I am very pleased to post tonight that all of my concerns have been addressed. I have confirmed with the Operations Manager (Sam) that the company is conducting an internal quality review of their entire process and applying improvements that will bring immediate results. Based on my direct experience with production foreman, Junior (a really great guy who is totally committed to the success of the company and its customers), I am sure this little bump has been erased. I have no reservations in shopping with Forno Bravo. Today the oven that was shipped to my home in Chula Vista was successfully assembled without incident. I am sure I will post again soon once I learn to use the oven. I can't wait to fire it up! Mike Gilroy

I am an…read morearchitect and well-versed in air sealing, but I did not have personal experience with removing old fiberglass batt insulation and installing only two inches of closed-cell insulation. In our 1868 Victorian home, Ryan and his crew removed all of the old fiberglass insulation from remodels we'd done over the years and installed closed-cell insulation in the attic ceilings and floor. I'll admit that when I saw the large amounts of old insulation being removed, I seriously wondered if I had made the right decision. Rather than jumping to conclusions, I waited until I could compare our December 2024 PG&E gas bill with our December 2025 bill. Since we heat our home with a gas furnace, my focus was on gas usage rather than electricity. In December 2024, our house was cold--uncomfortably so. The furnace cycled on and off constantly throughout the day, and we experienced significant temperature swings. The old insulation simply could not hold heat. Fast forward to December 2025. While our gas usage in therms was similar, the outcome could not have been more different. Our home is now warm and comfortable. We keep the thermostat at about 72 degrees during the day, and at night we set it to 62--yet the temperature holds steady around 66 degrees all night. In other words, the heater doesn't even come on after we go to bed. The result is a dramatically more comfortable home with no increase in gas usage. I expected our December 2025 bill to be through the roof, but instead it remained essentially the same--with vastly better performance and comfort. I couldn't be happier with the results. I'm so glad I put my trust in Ryan. We finally have a warm home during the coldest month of the year, and going forward we will be using less therms per month.

I was referred to Palacios and Sons by a neighbor and I had a really good working relationship with the entire group. I wanted to have my home feel like everything, new and old, meshed and belonged together. I got a seamless and amazing kitchen and re-textured walls, giving a revitalized fresh face to my home. I communicated with Aaron and Gus most of the time. Aaron was extremely responsive, especially in this time and age where text and email are everything. I did not feel ignored or left in the dark. He took the time to push the schedule, explain some processes and even suggest some items I knew I had to move forward with yet was hesitant to move forward with. Gus has the best attitude, even when my husband and I made a mistake on a wall that had just been re-textured. We made a mess and was really nice about our FUBAR. I had unknown expectations on price and time and the group at Palacios and Sons were patient and friendly all through the quoting process (they were nice on the walk-through) all the way through to the moment of construction "wide eyes" as my kitchen was removed. OMG! that is a rough moment, but the results speak for themselves (see the collage of beautiful after kitchen with grey cabinets and white counter tops compared to the all brown disaster that was my life for many years) and I hope I can speak on behalf of those considering a nice update to your home and help those reading select a premium construction company. I consider myself a lifetime customer and know I can call them for the next big step. UGH!

I first hired them to renovate two bathrooms last year and was so pleased with the results that I brought them back for a full kitchen remodel--which just wrapped up successfully. Their pricing is competitive, and the quality of work is very good. I was especially impressed with the electrical and tile work on both projects. The foreman and crews are skilled, professional, and efficient. Even though I had a designer, Keith and his team offered thoughtful suggestions that made the final result even more aligned with my vision. A couple things to keep in mind: as with any contractor, make sure to read your quotes carefully--I missed that trim work wasn't included in the original painting estimate. Also, the teams tend to start early, which was fine for me but might require a heads-up to your neighbors if noise is a concern. Overall, highly recommend them for home renovation projects!
