Service Master was retained by the insurance company after my parents' house fire. Chris assured us everything would be taken care of in a timely fashion. Shortly after his crew of one began the process of packing up my parents' possessions, a flooding situation in a nearby town took Chris and his "crew" to that area to drum up new business. In the meantime, rains continued to fall into the hole in the roof and each day my parents lost more and more of their belongings from water damage and the mold that began growing. Time after time, my parents were given excuses as to why no one was working in their house (covid, employees quitting, lack of space in the warehouse, etc.) and day after day they saw a little more of their home dissipate. It was heart-breaking. When Chris's one employee was able to finish the packing process, his movers came in to complete the task of loading and moving everything to their warehouse. Being a young crew, they cared little about the possessions of others and broke a 100+ year old piece of furniture. How do I know it was SM? This piece was in a room untouched by flames or water and was intact when we turned the house over to SM. Once the house was restored and SM made their delivery we found other casualties. Many of Mom's figurines and other fragile items were either chipped or cracked. All of these were items we had packed ourselves but, for reasons unknown, SM unpacked everything in their warehouse. Apparently they unpack everyone's possessions for a cleaning/ozone procedure. From what has been returned, they obviously unpack everyone's possessions at the same time. Several boxes had items that did not belong to our family. Several family heirlooms and antiques are now missing and we figure are lost for good. With all these problems and faults, SM is offering absolutely NO apology or financial compensation. Chris desperately needs assistance and training in order to provide better service to his customers and accept full responsibility for the damage his employees cause. The Ft. Smith, AR branch of Service Master is one I would NEVER recommend to others.

Then something changed. Before her pregnancy, over a period of months, she started to miss her appointed days to come clean our home. Later on, when she announced her pregnancy we had all discussed her plan for maternity leave and were in agreement. Then all of a sudden Hailey stopped coming. She quit us via text without any explanation. We were shocked because we had loved on this girl and treated her like family. Prayed with her and for her. I am very sad it ended with her like this. As an aside, we did talk about salvation through Jesus Christ and I gave her a gospel tract and encouraged her to buy a Bible. I'm sad that Hailey misunderstood what I was saying about adoption by God for salvation, because it's so important. Since I have brain damage, communication is really hard for me. Hailey remains in my prayers. All things are possible with God.

I overpaid her on numerous occasions. Like I said, the first 6 months were fine. She came every other week. By the spring of 25 the excuses started. The first was she canceled because she thought she had a herniated disc. By summer of 25, the excuses came about once every 2 months. Car problems, cold, straight cancellation with no reason, Air Conditioning problems - you get the picture. I had her working 2 days a week for about 6 months (cooking on Wednesday and then cleaning on Friday). She started to use that as, can't be here this day but will cook and clean on Friday. OK? It wasn't but I let it slide. Then she found out she was pregnant on May 22. Things went downhill immediately. She was canceling appointments regularly. I had a face to face with her, and she laid out her strategic plan for cleaning until late October when she would have a "friend" take over for 6 months while she was on maternity leave. I agreed with the provision that she bring the "friend" over to meet us in August. She did not have a "friend". Hailey looked up someone on the internet with good reviews and recruited her to take her place. She had never met her but represented her as a friend she knew. She kept giving excuses and we got one cleaning in 2 months. So, the bad: Haley lied to my face about numerous things. She is emotionally manipulative and unstable. She has a victim mentality and a vindictive streak and was unnecessarily rude, lied and was cruel to my wife in some comments. Her many emotional problems affect her reliability, and that means she won't think twice about ghosting you and telling you it's your fault. I will patiently wait for her reply to this review. Believe me, I only scratched the surface. If her reply to this is an attack mode or denial, I can publish a website and link all the pertinent exchanges. Bottom line - I wish I got the chance to fire her face to face. Maybe you will be luckier than I was. By the way, when reading this page, notice her 4 star reviews are from LAST year.
