I would not use these guys again. Glass installed on 9/27/19 and I keep getting the run around on the rebate check. First it was we need to get the check from the insurance company then I followed up after that then the said they received payment for the wind shield but would not process our check until 11/25. So called back again and now they said they had to close the account because of potential fraud..... I'm think the only fraud I see is lying about the 120.00 I was promised on several occasions. I would give a better review but they ran a promotion last summer for a $150 rebate on an installed windshield. It is February and I have yet to see a check. They sent a mass email in December stating they were having issues with their rebate department because of a recent merger. I will not use them again just because of their inability to manage their promotions ethically and efficiently. read more

I have used A&E twice now, first time they came to us, our appointment was between 8am-noon they didn't show until 6pm! Then the weather stripping came up. They came back out (late again) to fix it only for it to happen again. This last time we came into the location to wait 3 hours watching people who came in after us leave before us. Entertaining 2 small kids for 3 hours is no easy task when you are told no longer than 1.5 hours they would be. One day after our instal the weather stripping came up again but in a new spot. This place seems like it's a fun places to work, they are very social and from what I observed for 3 hours many cigarette breaks take place. No judgment if the establishment is running smoothly, but it is not. Getting a call back is near impossible. The only plus is with insurance they cut you a check and they have a good free snack selection inside the location. NO REBATE My windshield replacement was on 9/10/19 and still have not received my rebate after two months. I have left MANY messages (going on almost a dozen now) and have not received a return call from anyone. If this is their example of customer service, I don't know how they stay in business. Wish I had read these other reviews about the same issue before using this company. Heard their ad on KTAR so thought they would be OK. My coworker used somewhere else a few weeks before me, can't remember name, and they wrote her $100 check on the spot when they replace her windshield! I will have to ask her and do an addendum to this review. Will not use A & E again and I recommend you go somewhere else. Not the best experience with an auto glass company. Everything went all right at first, through the initial scheduling. I had called on a Friday, they scheduled me for Monday from 12-4. On Monday I waited, and waited, and waited. No call, or any indication that they were on their way. I had confirmed my scheduled service Monday morning with Brittany, so I thought they were coming. By 3:30 I had not heard a word, so I called. I got a lady that said she does not know the techs schedule, and couldn't give me an ETA even though she saw me on the schedule. So said she would send it to the techs manager and have them call me. After 45 minutes I had not received a call, so I call again. I got the same story, you're on the schedule but I don't know the techs schedule I'll have his manager call. Still no call, I called back and was told this time that I wasn't scheduled at all, much less for that day. I wasted a day waiting around for someone only to be told they weren't coming, but they would scheme for tomorrow. They said they would me $140, the dinner for one for a place in Mesa (I live in Avondale), and 2 movie tickets. I was scheduled again for 12-4 on Tuesday. This time I received a call from the tech saying he would arrive between 10:00-10:30. He arrived as stated and replaced the windshield. It appears that he didn't clean it, it was very dirty. After he was done he gave me the paperwork along with an envelope said to contain the check, voucher for the dinner for 1, and the movie tickets. I thought nothing of it and went about my day. Once I opened the envelope I found the check with the dinner voucher but lo movie tickets. These people over promise and under deliver. I thought I would use them because the advertise on my favorite radio station, and they really hype them up as a great company. Don't do it! I tried it as it was family owned. After 4 visits I finally have my windshield. It was awful. Technician kept pushing back time on the first appt. that I had to cancel. Second visit they didn't have the molding so they had to order. 3rd visit I finally went to them as the crack was getting bigger and I wanted it done. 4th visit I had to go back because they did not put on the molding they ordered and left on the old one that was crumbling. Windshield was left dirty. No pride in the work they had done. No apologies it was like I was just another car to them! I used Safelite in the past and I will go back to them. I can not recommend A & E Auto Glass. I had heard their ad on the radio and thought we'd give them a try. They advertised $140 cash back and a free meal at a local restaurant. This was back in April of this year, 2019. They messed up the schedule for our repair, and had I not called to confirm the day before, they wouldn't have showed up. The replacement went fine, but the tech said they would have to send us the check in the mail, and it should take about a week. A month goes by, I call and they said the check can take up to 6 weeks. Fine. I call back after it had been 2 months. They said the check should be sent out within the next two weeks. It wasn't. I call be several more times over the next couple months with the same response. Fast forward to month 5, I call again and they said the check is sitting right here, I don't know why it hasn't been sent out. I'll put it in the mail today. Fast forward another month (6 months total since our windshield was replaced) and I call again and get the same "the checks right here, not sure why it hasn't gone out. It'll be sent out today." Miraculously it shows up about three days later. I do a mobile deposit to my checking account and just today I get a letter from my bank saying the check is being returned and my deposit reversed because their account had insufficient funds. And that is why I gave them 1 star. read more

I used A&E auto glass to repair a broken windshield. The made the appointment on time and everything seemed fine. Later I get in the car to drive it and the rear view mirror shakes like crazy. I called to complain and talked with Alexia. She said come by when convenient and they will remount the mirror, it should only take a few minutes. After driving over 30 minutes to get their office and was asked to wait for a hour. Big mistake using A&E auto glass. I will file a complaint with my insurance company. My mirror is still not fixed and i guess I'm on my own to get it fixed. read more

Like others, I heard about the company through the radio ad. I called them to set up replacement; and my insurance (Geico) needs to do an inspection prior to approval. I had the inspection done within 2 days and still had not heard from A and E. I then called them to schedule the replacement and told them I was done with my end of things. They did schedule the work and came to my work to complete which is a nice option; however, the wrong glass was put in my car. The technician apologized, assured me it was safe, and stated someone would call me the next day to schedule the work with the correct windshield. I waited for 10 days and finally called them back. They did not have any idea and stated they would get a hold of the technician and find out what happened. In the mean time I went to the car wash and water leaked in through top of the glass near the rearview mirror. Probably a 1/4 cup worth. I am not sure if it damaged the rear view console electronically (It has road service and other gps services in this area). I should mention this car is a 2018 and not something I am ok damaging. read more

When I got my windshield replaced July 2019 the service was professional and fast and I even gave a raving 5 star review on yelp. This is my second time using A&E Auto glass for my replacements. The first time you got a check before you left, now they have you do this survey and say it takes 30 days after the insurance pays. It is now October and have not received a check. I called in September and spoke to a lady and she said they got payment from my insurance and the check was being sent out next week. I know it doesn't take a month to receive a check when I live in Mesa. This is false advertisement, when I hear it on the radio I want to call them and tell them to stop because its misleading and false. My insurance company also said this company is under investigation. I hope people google or yelp for reviews before going through them. read more

Was told id get a replacement of my factory tinted windsheild with 50% dark tint and a 5% visor like i had on there, they installed a 50% blue tint and a 20% visor that is peeling across the top edge on normal glass, during install the tint was scratched so now it looks like wolverine got pissed at my windsheild, was told it be taken care of and retinted, their tinter has missed two appointments now and it's been 5 weeks since install, not happy with the product or service. read more

I wish that I would have read the reviews on here before I used this company. First off I would like to the say that the actual installation of the new glass was perfect!! The person that came did an amazing job, was had great customer service! After the installation I was told that the $140 rebate that I was going to receive was deducted $20 for them coming to me and not going to shop. My glass was replaced in late May, it was not until August that I was told that my claim was finally paid, and the rebate check would be mailed out the next week. Two weeks later I called to check and was told the check would be going out that day. A week later, I called to follow up and was told that the check had gone out but that there was a issue with the post office. It was mailed to a station in Yuma and they were rerouting the checks that was sent with that batch. I called a week later to follow up, I was told that I should be getting the check any day. I called a week later and was told that my check was in the office and never mailed out. The lady I spoke with stated she couldn't put in the mail since it didn't have any postage. I called the following week and was told the check was still there. The lady on the phone stated "she was tired of taking my messages and would see if my check could be delivered." I was told that the check would be delivered on the Sat, and it never was. I called back Monday and was told I would get a call back and never received a call. Called Friday 8/3/18 to schedule an appointment for windshield replacement. I've heard nothing but great things about this company and they advertise on my favorite radio station, so why not? Well I had made my appointment for Monday, 8/6/18. Was told someone would be at my location between 10 am and 3 pm, and that I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. The time passes and I still get no call, no show. I call at 3:30 pm to A&E auto glass, and the girl tells me she is calling my driver to call me with an eta. Here it is Tuesday, 8/7/18, and still never received a call. I would recommend that this place get better customer service. I called to schedule a windshield replacement and they told me they were unable to get through to my insurance company due to a phone issue on the insurance's end. They told me that I would have to call them back at a later time (although good customer service would dictate that they call me back). I called back a couple of days later and got disconnected. I called back again and finally got everything scheduled for today. I planned my one day off from work around them arriving between 9 and 1 but they never showed up or called. I was able to reach Sherolyn who called me right back and sent the funds via Venmo within 30 minutes of our conversation and was very apologetic for the experience. Based on how she immediately took care of the issue, I have to give the benefit of the doubt in that there may have been something that caused this problem for the business and it wasn't just bad service. Things happen sometimes! I'm glad she addressed it right away and cared enough to remedy the situation. I don't think there is anything better she could have done to make it right. I got my car windshield inspection from my ins company. A& E didn't. I followed up with my ins company to make sure a&e was paid. Then I waited 2 plus MONTHS for the rebate check. It never came. I followed up with a&e (Emily) four times who said again and again check was mailed. No check came. I had to drive there to get a check. Do not use a&e. I will post again if like prior postings this "replacement" check (there was NO original one) bounces. Don't use a&e. The WORST Customer Service EVER! What does it take to get a call back? What is the point in leaving voicemails? I have taken the time to wait for a representative more than a few times. I have left messages and no return call was placed. Previous reviews say the wait is so worth the service? Really? This process has been extremely frustrating. Unfortunately now we will have to get another referral number from our insurance. In addition , this is the service company referred to customers of Jiffy Lube and they , the store managers, aren't even able to get through to Customer Service on their customers behalf. Ridiculous! What puzzles me more is the issues the majority are complaining about have yet to be resolved? **BE VERY CAREFUL!!** I will never use A&E Auto Glass again, and I will definitely never refer them to anyone! I had them replace my windshield, and everything went fine. Then, after I waited and they sent me my reimbursement check, I deposited the check to my checking account. No big deal ... right?!? WRONG!! I deposited the check on 8/23/19 (Friday), and yesterday 8/26/19 (Monday), THE CHECK WAS RETURNED TO MY BANK AND THE CHECK BOUNCED! Their check was returned to my account due to insufficient funds!! I went right to their office and called them out on it, and after I had called them out and proven that the check was indeed returned, I was told by the receptionist that someone had gotten a hold of their checkbook and written a bunch of checks so they had to close their account and that's why the check was returned. So not only did they know about what was going on, they didn't bother contacting their customers to let them know what was going on!! To know that there was an issue like this and not do anything to let their customers know about it is a pretty poor way of doing business and a terrible display of customer service!! UPDATE: After my review and proving that I was actually a customer by providing times, dates, work order numbers and the installers name, I heard nothing back (that was July 8th). I had a new windshield installed by another company which explained the workmanship issues and why my windshield cracked and also cleaned the glue left on interior. Nobody is perfect and all I wanted was an apology but instead I was treated like I was lying about being a customer and received an off handed comment about "Defamation". Got my windshield replaced today by A&E- Kevin and Jay were awesome! They were both friendly, professional, and did a great job! They called on their way, to let me know they'd be here in 20 mins. Kevin went over everything with me and explained how to obtain the rebate check. Very happy with the service they provided. I did have some trouble, like others, getting in contact with A&E in the beginning of me trying to schedule- long wait time on the phone. I had to email asking for them to return my call. Their website had a number to text- I tried that but got a reply back saying the number could not receive text messages. Other than that, I'm happy with the service. read more

I'm not always the keenest on auto glass guys who walk up to my front door, but Eric and his associate came by the other day seeing as I had a huge crack in my shield. Speaking with and deciding it needed to be done anyway I agreed and had them replace it. I was very surprised and happy with the service that followed this morning. The installer was professional, on time, and quick in getting the new window added. An added pleasant bonus was walking into my car and finding all my dash and front wiped down and cleaned for me. heard about these guys on the radio - they were offering a good cash back deal on windshield replacements so I thought I'd give them a try. They basically didn't offer me any kind of 'window' for the mobile work to be done (which seems REALLY weird for any kind of mobile business!) - just assured me that we would be first on the list in the morning and then no one bothered to call or show up - even after several phone calls to the company. Finally by 1 pm I called them back and just cancelled both replacements. They had an opportunity to win my business and sell 2 windshields but they blew it. I'll use someone else. read more

Awful customer service and job quality. I went to the shop to have my windshield replaced and I heard an air leak as I was driving away. I called and was told to wait a week for the glue to set so they could fix it. I called to set an appointment for them to come out and fix it a week later. They did no call no show for 2 weeks with each rescheduled appointment almost every day. When the tech finally came out, he couldn't find the air leak with the soap water and stated he would put in the work order for a replacement. When I called because they never called me as they were supposed to, the rep stated that since they didn't find an air leak-there is no air leak and try tried to blame the sound on other things. After a heated argument, they sent a tech out with a new windshield. When he cut out the windshield, there was an area on the side where the windshield was not bonded to the glue. My windshield was finally fixed after 4 weeks! This place is highly unprofessional and the experience was a nightmare. read more

Giving this rating is being nice to the company. The customer service I had was very nice on the phone but fulfilling the appointment was absolutely ridiculous. I scheduled an appointment to come to my work and replace my windshield for Tuesday morning 9-1, they never called and never came. I called at 1pm to check on the time they were coming and were told I didn't have an appointment after all. So I gave them another shot and made an appointment for Thursday again 9-1, and again no call no show. I have never been so upset with a company for their incompetence. Here I am driving with a cracked windshield and my insurance will be paying for the work to be done and they don't bother to show up for the job. This company is worse then I originally posted. I'm still having issues. My collision sensor is out still after a month of having my windshield replaced. I'm pretty sure with newer cars/trucks that getting the sensor calibrated is standard with a windshield replacement. A & E were not upfront about needing that and I wouldn't have even picked this garbage company if they told me I would have to drive to mesa to get it calibrated. I live in surprise, I'm not about to drive an hour and 30 minutes to do something that should have been communicated upfront. This crap company knows they suck and have horrible service and have to buy your business. I never leave reviews let alone bad ones but this is how much A&E sucks and I wish the owner/manager would stop sucking as well because it is a pathetic business employed by lying bulls hitters. read more

Then a friend referred me to A&E and they were accommodating to the price I was looking for. Therefore I give this the highest star rating possible. I called to schedule an appointment to have my windshield replaced. It took 35 minutes to finally get to speak to someone. They scheduled me for installation a few days later. Nobody showed up or called. I called the office, again a 20 minutes wait. The office said the installer was probably running late just to hold on. The installer never showed up. I called the next morning and was told the windshield had to be ordered. No apologies, no nothing. Don't waste your time, there are many others out there. read more

I recently had scratches on my driver's side and passenger side, side windows. Both the glass and the tint were badly scratched. I had A & E do the repairs and also take care of the insurance including have the new glass tinted. All done well, tint looks great too. Lifetime guarentee so can't go wrong. Once they were on the job they were fast and courteous. The only negative was getting a firm date from the installers. I plan on recommending them to others. read more

Surprise number one, The guy showed up and apologized that I was given a letter of how to retrieve the promoted rebate not the actual check. Surprise two I had to go through a web based system to fill out the rebate info. Surprise three after 2 months still no rebate or expected time frame to receive. I should be done with surprises but it's now July 19 and still no outcome. Almost four months later and can not get an update after repeated emails and phone calls.
