The absolute worst service I've ever experienced from any company. We have an extended warranty through Samsung and a broken dishwasher, and A & E has cancelled on us FOUR times now. The part was delivered to our house but they keep saying the part isn't available. It's been sitting on our kitchen counter for weeks. It's impossible to talk to anyone via phone, the cancellations are done via text with limited options to reschedule. Do not buy Samsung appliances, do not waste your money on their warranty, and do not get repairs done by A & E. read more

OMG! Where do I start. My GE dryer was making a clicking noise so I recorded the noise. I've learned servicemen sometimes ask what it sounds like. Called my warranty company (Assurant Warranty) & they sent out someone from a & e on 06/23/25 which is also Sears. Had a window of 8 am to 5 pm, so my whole day was shot. Guy got here about 3pm. Went right for my washer. He said they put down washer on a stacked unit. Then he sat by the dryer and was turning the barrel. I said it was the dial and I had audio. This guy was very rude and practically yelled at me that he had to check the whole thing. Didn't want to hear the audio I recorded. I actually tried to ignore him so he could hurry & leave. He got a little nicer after a bit, but I hate rude. He said he had to order a part & reschedule installation for 06/30/25. I received the part the next day. Got an email from a&e saying since the part won't arrive til after 06/30/25 they rescheduled for 07/07/25. Never even called to confirm if I would be available on that day. I called Assurant warranty to let them know and told me I had to call a&e myself. The computer transfers but no one answers. Called Assurant back and Jerry called a&e to confirm 06/30/3/25 appt I actually received confirmation from a&e on my phone. So I'm waiting all day, yet again for service (8-5) time line and at 4:00 I start calling. First a&e computer is confirming 07/07/25 appt. So I call Assurant at least 5-6 times as well as a&e and finally was told 06/30/25 was confirmed. The last person guaranteed it. Ok, so 4:50pm comes around and I call a&e back. But this time I outsmart their computer and got actual person who confirmed my appointment is for 07/07/25. Now I'm really p.o.'d. So now I have to wait for a third day, from 8-5 again to see if someone will even be out to fix it. I really have to think about extending my warranty with Assurant. One girl asked if I could hold for two minutes and I hung up after 20 minutes. read more

A&E does the warranty work for GE microwaves in Kauai, HI. GE was great and very responsive and honored their warranty fully even as only a few days remained before expiration. However, A&E missed four scheduled appointments. In one missed appointment the repairman claimed he looked at the unit and that it needed no repairs. When a repairman did appear, he was competent, diagnosed the problem and ordered the necessary parts to be sent directly to me. He scheduled a follow-up appointment for 2 weeks to install the new parts. The parts came, but the repairman never appeared nor called. GE was apologetic and offered to pay for other repair options. My initial call to GE was in Feb 2024. The unit was finally repaired by someone other than A&E Factory Service on April 15, 2024. read more

Really disappointed. Received an email from Sears Home Services (AE Factory Services) offering to waive the $149.00 diagnostic fee. Technician came out to diagnose my stove issue and immediately asked for $149. When I informed him about the email I had received through which I had booked the service he expressed surprise and called his supervisor. After discussing the issue for a couple of minutes the supervisor asked if he was on speaker, to which the technician replied that he was. He asked to be taken off. Technician diagnosed issue without doing any disassembly and determined that one burner shutoff valve was the issue. Wanted $50 parts and $375 labor to replace the valve. Certainly seems to me that they shifted the $149 diagnostic fee into the labor charge since I can't imagine this taking more than an hour to replace. I will NEVER call them again! read more

They have the contract for Sears warranty. I had an issue with my frig and made an appointment for repair. I had 4 appointments (8 hr windows and 3 no shows and I told me I can't do the work). I couldn't speak to anyone at a&e but contacted Sears warranty and they couldn't do anything for me. Sears kept telling I'm waiting on parts which had arrived. A&e has no clue what customer service is and the scheduler seems to be sitting on his brains. I don't recommend vehemently read more

@Doreen I'm here to eat crow... A&E Factory Repair/Sears came today. When I made the appointment I asked for a ballpark quote to change out a moldy Boot Seal gasket. I was told $275. (Give or take a few dollars) I also was asked for a credit card to put on file. The operator was from India and I firmly believe she misunderstood me. Thank goodness I told them I don't have credit cards. The tech came and gave me an estimate of $583. plus tax. Of course I refused the repair and refused to pay the diagnostic fee of $79.00. A gew hours later i received a text quote for $631. So, of course I bought a new washer at Lowes. The new washer was $699. I feel I was lied to. I feel cheated. I'm livid. I don't understand all these One ratings! A&E Factory Service out of Macomb County MI, was dispatched by Assurant for my five year extended warranty repair contract to repair a leaking hot water dispenser tank inside my GE Cafe refrigerator which has the built-in Keurig K-Cup coffee/tea/hot water dispenser. The first technician showed up as scheduled identified the problem and ordered the correct parts which were sent direct to my residence. He even fixed my loose freezer door handle as a friendly gesture. The parts arrived in a few days and the second tech was scheduled after the Christmas Holiday and he showed up as scheduled installed the parts quickly, tested it for proper function and left when satisfied that it was working properly. The repair and parts cost for this visit alone covered the five year contract cost! You can't lose with that kind if service. read more

I had an issue with my dishwasher and this was the company they sent out. First. Never once did anyone from this company call to introduce themselves and say we are confirming we are scheduled to come out on such date. The tech came out, evaluated the dishwasher told my tenant he needs to clean the plastic off the dishwasher himself. NO WAY! That's your job as the service company because the dishwasher fell apart and I am not going to lose my warranty because you want me or the tenant to do your job! Second. He never left a card, a service order, or his name. Who does that? He said he's ordering the part and will be back 12/5/20. Once again no call to confirm from the company. On 12/3/20 man shows up at tenants house. No call. No confirmation. No sanitary equipment on hand. He "fixes" (supposedly) the dishwasher. Runs the dishwasher and leaves. No explanation. No service order. No card. Once again we received no phone call. Dishwasher finishes cycle and guess what. He never removed the burnt plastic from the coil or the dishwasher. Dishwasher not repaired. Dishwasher can't use heat function. Filed a complaint with the original company I purchased the product from. Now I have to have a brand new company come out to deal with the dishwasher. A E Factory Service is not a company I would recommend. Unprofessional. Unreliable. If it's possible to give ZERO STARS I would. So take that as a ZERO STARS rating. read more

I don't know how good they are because they never showed up for my appointment. I have now been waiting 20 days for a minor water leak in my relatively new LG Refrigerator. I have been repeatedly lied to by LG, my calls being routinely ignored. When I checked on the link to my service call, A&E had rescheduled it for a month later....without the courtesy of a phone call or a verification as to the convenience of that appointment. Apparently A&E is the ONLY repair service available to LG, as I have insisted on a different company. Each time it reverts back to A&E. They may or may not show up tomorrow. There are not enough negative stars available. The absolute worst repair and customer service organization I have ever encountered. 4 appointments scheduled to fix out Lowes purchased Frigidaire. First two repairs had no impact on the operation of the unit. Third service appointment was a no show with no notice. Customer service indicated the tech had gotten sick and could not complete his route. The next available date was at the back of the line, 4 weeks out. The rescheduled (4th) appointment had the exact same result. right down to the excuse and the next appointment date. I have a warranty for my Frigidaire refrigerator. This company was to service. My refrigerator stopped working in May and they sent out a service rep. He ordered the parts and said he would be back. Well I was given multiple appointments but as soon as it came it was cancelled up until today (9-13-21). The rep came, worked for 3 1/2 hours and he felt it was fixed as it started blowing cold air. My microwave failed after three months. It is virtually impossible to get a human on the phone. Once I scheduled a service, then the parts had to be ordered. Then the parts were back ordered. Four weeks later, I still don't have a functioning microwave. Sears home services says you must call A&E--who says you must call Sears. After waiting several weeks for a repair man to come out and look at our LG refrigerator, a new mother board was ordered by them. It was then several more weeks for the second appointment to install the part. When the second person came out to do the install he said he really doesn't work on refrigerators and couldn't say if the part would work. Did I mention my fridge is only 18 months old? bottom line: good communication on when they are coming but have no depth of experience to actually fix our appliance. Bought a new fridge and within two weeks the compressor began acting up and making a very loud noise. technicians diagnosed that the board was defective. they ordered a new board which arrived the Igor before my scheduled visit. my wife stayed home from work to wait for the technicians that never came. A&E Factory Services is the worst business that I have ever dealt with. I had an appointment scheduled with them that gave me a 7:00am to 4:00pm window of time for their technician to arrive. At 4:30pm, they sent me a text telling me that my appointment has been canceled and rescheduled for a date 2 weeks from today. This is the THIRD time they have done this to me, and from reviews I have read on other websites, including the BBB, this is very common. It is extremely difficult to speak to a live agent at A&E Factory Services. Once you do, they are completely incapable of offering any help or service. Today I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. I was told that they have no supervisor and that there was nothing that could be done to help me other than to once again reschedule my appointment. I asked if it was possible to be stood up a fourth time if I rescheduled it and the agent told me yes because they always overbook their appointment times. I did not choose this service but when my warranty company said they were sending out A&E Factory Service to diagnose and repair my refrigerator, I immediately thought of their trademark blue and white trucks that I see EVERYWHERE. I felt much better about a large company coming to my house when I would not be there. (18 and 19 teenage boys were home) The first repair guy called my cell phone to report that the problem isn't with the fridge, it's was my power outlet. Which was BS. The fridge had been running on that outlet for 6 years. He was just being a jack wagon. Then told me that I needed to provide him with a credit card to pay for the $75 service call as it would be not covered under the warranty. I told him that couldn't be right and I will look into it, I would not give him my cc number. he then told me he wasn't leaving my house until he secured payment. Already being a jerk, I was afraid of what he would do and what a HUGE mistake I made trusting this company and stranger into my house. I gave him the cc and told him to leave and called the kids to make sure he was out. My husband hit the roof, it was a ridiculous claim, and tested the outlet himself. I reported this to the warranty company and they said that the first call WAS covered under the warranty since the issue the first guy found had nothing to do with the refrigerator acting up. They had another service guy come out to repair the FRIDGE, but I made sure to be home. The second guy was super nice and agreed with me and the warranty company's assessment of the work that needed to be done. He replaced the motherboard in the fridge and was done. Which fixed the problem. Maybe the first was a bad seed, but in 9 months now of attempting to recover my $75 for the first call, A & E is ignoring me and the warranty company's requests. The warranty company keeps submitting for reimbursement and A & E ignores it. Skip this company. Don't trust them in your house, and insist on another service if your warranty company tries to send them out. read more

Worst customer service experience I have had in years. The tech they sent out to my house was totally inexperienced. He outright lied to me about what my problem was with my water heater. And claimed he was ordering a part when the part was never ordered. As a result I was without hot water for 2 weeks in my house. I called daily to try to get my issue resolved in a timely manner but just kept getting the runaround and representatives who would tell me sorry there was nothing they could do. The worst part is A&E factory service was the service company that came out because of my Lowes warranty plan. Lowes sold me on the warranty based on the idea that I would never be without hot water for more than 24 hours. I am a huge fan of lows but totally disappointed that they would use such a poor service provider for their warranty service. Absolutely terrible customer service. He had a service appoint scheduled with them on Dec 22 for a factory recall item that has rendered our washing machine useless. We waited for the technician during our repair window and the technician never showed up. We were later told our appointment with them was scheduled for January 4. I called Frigidaire warranty service to have a brand new dishwasher fixed under the manufacturer's warranty at a rental property. The CSR told me the tech from A &E would be at the rental between 12-5. The tech showed up at 5:45 pm. He didn't call to let the tenant know he was running late. The tenant left when the technician didn't show up at 5:00 pm I called A&E to reschedule. The supervisors told me that I would have to call Fridgdaire to reschedule because the technician had closed the ticket as completed. I explained the situation to the supervisor. She told me there was nothing she could do. This was a pathetic customer interaction on a Fridgidaire warranty repair. This is not the company you want repairing your appliances. read more
