I called the appliance repair company because my 2 year old washing machine was leaking, and had a bad pump. They came same day, and we're clean, respectful and quick about diagnosing the issue. Once parts were in, they returned to install. The tech told me the new pump supplied by GE worked, but was noisy, and he was going to order and install another new one. But I could use the washer in the meantime, so it didn't bother me. I appreciated that they surely saved me another costly repair in a short time. Called when we had an issue with our washing machine. Tech was very good about communication keeping me updated as to when the appt was but also that he might be able to slip my appt in early to get it done quicker. Very prompt said he was 20 min out and he was at my door 20 min later. Washer repaired in less than an hour and is back to working perfect. Highly recommend!! read more

Alan at 1st Class Appliance Is literally the most knowledgable, service minded, trustworthy appliance repair man I know. He also does plumbing and electrical work when he can spare the time. *He's very much in high demand. Known him on and off for over 10 years now. My family has hired him several times for different things, and I have referred him to several others, all of whom have adamantly thanked me after he paid them a visit. This guy is straight up honest with customers (no B.S. or dishonest sales pushing). I'd trust this guy to tell me the truth before anyone else about any appliance. Saved my family and countless friends a TON of money by repairing appliances. This is a TRUE story. One time, he was leaving our house for a completely different reason, and he happened to walk out the garage door, which is close to our washing machine. He stopped dead in his tracks, leaned over the washing machine without saying a word, and took a listen to it. FROM THE SOUND of it, he identified a worn down part (BY MODEL NUMBER, from memory) that if left unaddressed would cause the washing machine to completely fail within a few more months of use. We ordered the part, then he came back to take apart the washing machine, and sure enough, the old part he'd identified by sound was almost completely worn down to the point where it would've failed. This guy is always on the top of his game, and he's very honest and beyond reasonably priced. You can thank me later!!! =) read more

Disappointed... after a lengthy explanation of how I'm only being charged the actual price of a part I later found the same part at Sears for a fraction of the price. Then charged more for the service call than what was quoted when it was scheduled. Was expecting better for all the positive reviews. Only reason giving 3 stars is because the appliance was fixed. read more

If I could give this company a sliver of a star I would. Worst experience ever! We are currently tenants and our dishwasher stopped working properly. We then contacted our landlord who in turn reached out to this company who he has supposedly used for years due to their reliability. After a week of phone tag, which really just consisted of me calling the business trying to find out when they were actually coming out to fix the dishwasher to make sure I was home from working and getting no answer or calls back. When we finally did schedule a day and time, the first time there was no confirmation call the day of and the technician showed up late and was very rude and abrupt. As he lay on my kitchen floor bitching aloud he mumbles something to me and after asking him "what?" about three times I was finally able to understand him. There was a part that need to be replaced that he apparently didn't have with him and wouldn't be able to get until the following Monday. So as the weekend passed, I trying calling Monday to find out when this man will be back....get no answer. Finally I call again on my way home from work to find out that the guy cancelled and isn't coming. Did they plan on calling and telling me this?! But was told they would be there the day after. The next day rolls around and the man comes back to fix the part. After another half an hour or more, he comes to the conclusion that it wasn't just the part, but that the dishwasher was shot and we needed a new one. My fiancé was home during this time and standing next time me when he starts to mumble the news to us. A.) If you can't speak properly and clearly then you should not be dealing with the customers face-to-face B.) In the process of addressing "us" he tried speaking ot my fiancé as if I wasn't there. This is not the first time A male technician, mechanic etc. has done this. He proceeds to attempt to get my fiancés attention while I'm standing right there looking at him. So I of course rudely inform him that I'm right here and he can talk to me and not my fiancé...he did not look happy about that (ladies, you'll understand my extreme frustration with this) After that fantastic display of manners and respect, he said he would be back the next time to install the replacement. Mid-day Wednesday I call to find out when they'll be there to install the new dishwasher, of course no answer. Why does this business even have a phone?! This oh so lovely gentlemen rolls into my driveway half an hour late. I'm pretty sure if the back door hadn't been locked he planned on just walking right in. I walk over and unlock the door and open it to let him in and that was it. I had no intention of striking up a conversation with this man, so I left him to do his job.....to the best of his ability. While sitting in my living room while he worked, I noticed a fly flying around the house and got up to find the back door wide open. Irritated, I walk over and close the door and ask him to please keep it shut. This idiotic man had the audacity to ask me why....WHY?! Are you kidding me?! I proceed to tell him 1.) because you're letting flies in the house, 2.) because the A/C is on and you're letting the hot air in and 3.) because it's my house and I said so! Unbelievable!! After that I walk away to let him finish the job so he can leave. Well apparently about 15 minutes after that he was done....because I saw him backing out of my driveway! Not a word, like "Okay, I'm done"....nothing; literally just left. I walk back over to the kitchen to find my floor, kitchen counters, sink and underneath the kitchen sink an utter mess. After cleaning up after this slob I go outside to take the trash out to then pieces of packaging and garbage from this man all over my driveway. I honestly could NOT believe the level of rudeness and disrespect from this horrendous man and the unprofessional, unreliable company he works for. Every little thing about my experience with this company was offensive and I am absolutely appalled by this atrocious business (if you can even call it that) and their employees. read more
