Why cash only Sunday? It is 2024! Cards are in! Will not return if this policy stays the same.

First time at this spot, and my initial impression was positive. I would say, I love, love, love…read morethat they use Big Green Egg's inside the restaurant on the line. If you've never had meat (or VEGGIES!) cooked on a BGE, it will change your life. This fact alone will bring me back to try other things. Before I get into the meal, my only real complaint was that they only had a soda machine and tea. I had brought my mother along, and she already had lunch and wanted just to sit and chat. As it was a very cold day she was gonna order a coffee and they don't offer anything hot! It's definitely an opportunity to expand here even if it was just so simple as putting a Keurig machine in the back. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It is served with grilled chicken in a grilled wrap and cheddar cheese. If there was a buffalo sauce, I didn't taste any. I was a little disappointed in the wrap. The flavor didn't really stand out as being cooked on the Big Green Egg. The cheese wasn't really melted, which can be a common problem with shredded cheddar cheese, but it also didn't really have the buffalo flavor that I was looking for in a buffalo chicken wrap (maybe it was a Toledo Ohio wrap I don't know just not spicy. ) It served with a side of ranch which I juiced up with some Cholula and that helped. I i'm not knocking the quality of the food because it was good. It just didn't live up to the expectations I had in my head based on the menu description. It also came with a side, which I chose the broccoli salad. This was nicely done with bacon, I believe some quinoa and the broccoli was chopped up nicely so you didn't have huge chunks. Also, it wasn't overly sauced so that would make it runny. Overall I give the property four out five stars. Also, the flavor of the whole meal was fine. Good size portion and good value for your money.

The grits were smooth, warm, and buttery, like comfort food that makes you feel happy. The people working there were very nice and really friendly. They really made me feel welcome and were kind while I waited for my food. The wait was not too long, and everything was made fresh. The amount of food you get is perfect for an individual so you will not leave hungry. That made it even better for the price. If you like tasty and warm Southern food that you will be eager to come back to you should try this place. I will go back again to eat more because it was so good. The catfish was coated in a glossy glaze with just enough heat to make your nose run--but never enough to slow you down. Perfectly cooked, flaky, and packed with flavor in every bite. And the Cajun ranch fries? A full chef's kiss. Crispy, seasoned just right, and the perfect companion to the fish. The truck stayed busy the entire time--from people getting off work to people like us, just looking to try something new--which tells you everything you need to know. Amazing food, incredible flavors, and we genuinely can't wait to come back and work our way through the rest of the menu. If you see this food truck, do yourself a favor and pull up!

I have had this bookmarked forever. Not sure how or why I did, but I sure am glad that I did!!…read more It's an old school hole in the wall kind of place. These are my favorite kind of places in the world. From the moment I walked up and saw the big piles of wood outside I knew I was probably going to like this place. We had an amazing meal here. Every single bite was good. I ate myself damn near sick! I cannot wait to come back!! The day we were there the bartender was waiting on the whole place himself with just someone helping him run food and clear tables. We only had an hour before we had to be at an appointment, so when we sat down at the bar I got concerned that we would not have time to eat here. He was busy. He seemed behind. Thank goodness I was wrong. Once he finally got to us we were decided on our meals. He took our order on his little handheld register thing, grabbed our tasty beverages, and poof, off he went. C had the pulled chicken sandwich with deviled eggs and I had pulled pork, smoked chicken thighs, beans, and a giant pile of pork rinds. Holy shit it was good!!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that my thighs had AL white sauce on them until well after I had ordered. Had I know that, I would not have ordered them. I despise all things that have anything to do with mayonnaise. But.... Had I known, I would have never known. I fucking loved it! I could have eaten 10 of them. There were hands down the best smoked chicken that I have ever had. The pork was bad ass too! I dare say perfect. Beans were great, and the pork rinds side was massive and still warm from the fryer with a killer seasoning on them. There are not enough adjectives to describe this food. I am in love. I cannot wait to get some more of those damn chicken thighs!! '26 - 68

Hurray for my first introduction to "dirty" sodas!…read more Sweet Home Sodas is a new business providing pop-up dirty sodas and energy drinks around Huntsville. They were initially branded as Rocket City Fizz, but I think they encountered some type of trouble with that name and quickly rebranded to Sweet Home Sodas. Same people, same recipes. As I said, they've been popping up at community events like store openings, parties, school events, and so on. I imagine they could cater almost any event you'd like. Their speciality is "dirty" sodas, which are sodas with extra flavorings added -- usually in the form of syrups, but sometimes including slices of fruit, a splash of cream, foams, or candies. They have a premade menu of specialties though I'm sure they'd be accommodating if you wanted to make your own creation. I think a lot of their creations sound like the flavors would go perfectly together so I was content to let them do the creating for me. Pretty much any drink you can get with a full calorie soda or its diet equivalent to be a little more calorie conscious. I found them posted up at the opening of the new LaGree fitness studio in Jones Valley. It's uncommon to get food trucks or pop up businesses in this part of Huntsville imo, so I ran over when I saw they'd be there. They were set up right outside the entrance and were easy to find with their adorable shirts and decorations. I was greeted by, I presume, the two owners, who were wonderfully pleasant and were genuinely gracious and helpful, inquiring about how I'd learned of them and offering to help me choose a drink based on my preferences before thanking me for giving them a try. Wonderful service! I'd not had a dirty soda before but I went with what sounded best to me, a Rocket City Cola. I went all in and had it with a regular Coke. It has vanilla, coconut, cream, and best of all, lime! It was refreshing and not as sweet as I was afraid it might be. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a sweet treat, but I could taste the layers of each flavor and it wasn't just cloying sugar. The coconut didn't taste artificial either. I definitely get the appeal of the dirty soda trend now! I'm a sucker for Alani energy drinks and so I'll have to try one of those specialties someday too. I look forward to trying this business again in the future!
