After reaching out to Empire Today, an employee came to assess the situation. The technician removed more of the floor and used red tape to hold things in place, and then took more than three weeks to get back to us. We sent multiple emails during this period, yet received no response. When we finally heard back, we were told that the installers did not properly level the floor and that we would be charged over $1,200 to fix the issue. To say we are appalled by this response is an understatement. The problem was a result of an installation error on your part, and yet we are being asked to cover the cost of fixing it. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We trusted Empire Today for a quality installation, but instead, we have been left with a costly and ongoing problem that we should not be responsible for. We are absolutely disgusted by the way this matter has been handled, and we will not be recommending your services to anyone going forward.

It went okay until the installers--who did not do the greatest job upon further inspection--just up and left when they had the carpet we'd purchased from Malmquist Home Furnishings tacked down. We literally had to spend two and a half hours picking up scraps and also vacuuming two small rooms and a hallway after they left. I'm afraid the next time I have to buy carpet--I'll go with the best price for the best carpet and hire my own installer who will be instructed to clean up after themselves. It was ridiculous.
