I can't stress enough how important this is as I'm well aware eyeglasses are a high margin, high reward industry I've always been reluctant to purchase eye-ware at the same storefront. I ended up with two sets of eye-ware that I put to immediate use with a cross canada drive from Ontario to BC. The prescription sunglasses they helped me choose were a perfect fit and a perfect lens. Without knowing I was provided with bad advice, I paid $850 for the Gucci glasses and ended up getting a pair of $800 Kate Spade glasses that causes pain to my nose bridge and behind my ears, leaving deep red marks. Submitted a Google review with full honesty that their staff Jennifer suggested me to purchase the Gucci frames. Jennifer then lied about this situation by replying back saying I chose to purchase the frames despite her recommendations. This experience shows that Jennifer does not take accountability for her mistake and put blame on their customers for what happened.

She is very patient and has a cheerful personality which puts a BIG smile on my face during my visit :) I felt very at ease in her hands. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - overall, a very pleasant experience, thank you :) During the comprehensive eye examination, I got my pupils dilated. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses with you if you're driving - you will be sensitive to lights! Or you can purchase a fashionable pair in their dispensary. The clinic carries a great selection of brand name eyewear and sunglasses! We also did something called Optomap wide-field retinal scan, which carefully and thoroughly checks the inside of the eye for any hidden eye diseases, monitors suspicious areas and changes from year to year, and confirms that everything is healthy! During the visit, I also learned that Dr. Tang specializes in contact lens wear, LASIK consultation, and Ortho-K (AOK) overnight corrective contact lens for myopia control in children. I went to a trendy DT Toronto spot for my glasses and while the styles were great and the service was thorough, there was a disconnect with me having to go somewhere else to get my eyes tested before choosing my frames and lenses - a Wal-mart no less. I walked in and wanted to ask about the headaches I'd been having since getting my new glasses and Dr. Allyson took my glasses and ran them under a special machine to examine exactly what my prescription was and what they were comprised of. Thankfully everything checked out and Dr. A explained that because this was a slightly stronger prescription than I was used to that headaches were normal and to be expected. While I was happy with the individual service I received from both the Wal-mart optometrist and the store I purchased my glasses at, I think in future I would prefer to visit Dr. Allyson so I know that every part of my experience is in-house at one location. Time for an update! I've worked in this office complex for over 10 years and have walked by this place too many times to count. My friend found a pair she loved and I, well, I looked stupid in everything. *sigh* Since we work in the building, we receive a discount on frames so that's a plus! My coworker ended up getting a beautiful pair of Gucci frames that look stunning on her. After getting an updated prescription from my optometrist, I started to 'seriously' look for frames which might look good on me. I went to many stores near my home and I actually found a pair of Ray Bans that didn't look horrible on me! I went back to La Look and asked if they were able to get them as well. Not only could they get them, their prices were more competitive... even before the discount! They didn't have the actual frames in the store so they offered to order them in for me to look at. They received them within a week and they were perfect. I proceeded with the order and the glasses were ready within a few days! All the ladies I've dealt with at the store have been really great, especially the owner (who I believe, only comes out of 'retirement' to relieve the others during vacations). At the beginning when the store was opened 5-6 years ago, Gulia seems not having much experience as she was new to running an optics business. To offset that she has been warm and welcome. We should promote her style of customer service, as from my experience majority of sales people nowaday seem not caring much but pushing for more money, many not caring to even pull up a smile when we enter their store.
