My favorite is the meatloaf but the chicken has been great also. Basically you walk up to the counter and place your order and it's ready to go in about 10 minutes. Looking over the counter, you can see them prepare your food. They also have daily specials which change each day and generally very good. This week we got to try the other side of the business with a catered luncheon. We had Corporate Executives from LA and Florida in this day for a two day meeting with all employees. They had asked if we could recommend a restaurant that caters or a caterer and I remembered Kirk's and it was the first on the list that I recommended. The went with Kirk's and it turned out great. The lunch was ordered from LA and confirmed once they got to Statesville. Delivery and set up were to be at 11:30am and that went off like clockwork. Everyone had a wide variety to choose from including wraps ( I had Turkey), Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Club Sandwiches, both Pasta and Potato Salads and Doritos on the side. I had a little of each and all were very good. Presentation, while not white table clothes and candles, was more that adequate and appropriate to the location and even. Quantity of the food was such that there were left overs at the end but nothing went to waste. An interesting point is that a large number of our employees are from Statesville and almost no one was familiar with Kirk's. They are now and many indicated that they were going to try the takeout on the way home so they did not have to cook or were going to use Kirk's for upcoming family gatherings.
