After hiring this company almost 2.5 months prior to the event, multiple phone calls and meetings,…read moreI was highly disappointed in how things were executed the day of my event- a baby shower I hosted. The staff arrived over one hour late to set up prompting a very chaotic atmosphere in the onsite kitchen as they attempted to get the dishes prepped, organized and prepared. One of the hosts heard an argument ensue almost immediately between staff members over not having brought the proper equipment. Eek, not exactly the ambiance I sought. The event was brunch themed and again the menu had been discussed several times prior to the day of the event. One of the most important additions to the decor was the dessert table- planned to include a cake, pretzel sticks, and rice Krispy treats. This never happened. The staff failed to bring the desserts out. When I inquired about the items, I quickly realized why; they simply hadn't prepared them! Staff began to clamber unwrapping store-bought packaged rice Krispy treats which did not match the theme. So ultimately, we decided we'd only have cake at the table. What other choice did we have?? Sadly, the guests commented the cake was dry and inedible. I found many half-eaten plates of it later in the garbage at clean up. There were a comedy of errors and missteps to note: as staff cooked the chicken for the waffles, it smoked up the venue and we all wreaked of it. Many of the guests had to assist with the cleanup of the caterer's area because, unfortunately, all except one staff member departed leaving one member to navigate cleaning, packing up and finalizing things. This staff member, I should add, was kind and delightful. I felt bad for her being the sole staff at a medium sized event. When I expressed my disappointment to the owner at the end of the evening, instead of showing empathy for coming up short in many areas, she began to make excuses. It was endless, and at this point, unimportant to me. I paid for a service that did not get executed fully. After much back and forth she agreed to reimburse me for the dessert table since, again, it didn't make it to the event. However, to date this has not occurred and I highly doubt that it will. In fact, when I attempted to follow up on status of refund, the owner was unresponsive. Reviews are an important tool for consumers to avoid companies such as this so here I am sharing my experience to save others the angst. I strongly advise you to consider other options for your catering needs.
