I worked out the plans at the Ikeea Design Studio on March 18th -- I was the last customer seen and literally they shut the place down for three months after I waled out the door (and took the subway home). Over the next few months I watched a gazillion YouTube videos thinking I could do a lot of the projects myself. I was wrong. Then I cooked up some schemes to honor my building's stingent requirements but still keep the reno moving forward, like detaching all my cabinet doors and driving them over to the painter to spray in his building basement. What a mess. By the time Ikea opened up again and the shipping backlogs eased I had learned my lesson -- and signed up for Ikea's contruction services for the installation. They assigned Turn Key. This team's work was the only part of the reno that came off without a hitch. I was completely bowled over when Lance contacted me the day before the installation to ask if he could send his carpenter up to check out the space and figure the out the logistics. This meant when the team arrived the next morning, they were all ready to go at it. And go at it they did. They worked swiftly, cleanly and without incident. I was here the entire time, and they never took a break until they were done -- earlier than projected, at which point they cleaned up and left me with my new kitchen. If I could give TurnKey six stars, I would.

My husband or I have not heard from Memo since 2024. We gave him his payment and he has not…read morefinished the last of the work needed to be completed. We always gave him his payments when due, but now that we want all the little finishing touches done and to be corrected he's gone, disappeared! We've tried calling him, and his wife Abby, and sending emails, but to no avail. It seems that he may have blocked us from calls and texts. I'm so disgusted in their behavior. These pictures do not even do it justice how he left our home in shambles. He knew what needed to be done, we discussed when he asked for his final payment. Memo made me feel so uncomfortable demanding his final payment, even though I knew what needed to be done here! Now we're the jerks stuck in this mess he made. Unfinished moulding, unfinished siding, no doors or shelves on my closet! It wasn't like that when he started. The back door he installed, leaks, appears to be installed upside down, and is not sturdy! The tile has holes in it by the back door. There was supposed to be a saddle by the back door. Holes in the grout tile floors in many different spots! Wires hanging all over my back patio, that were not there prior to him ripping off my siding. The nails in between the windows, no trim to cover? And more.....! He and his wife should be ASHAMED of themselves for treating us this way. WE PAID YOU!!! DISGUSTING DISGUSTING DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! I honestly thought for once I found a good, credible contractor. Absolutely NOT, a disgraceful human to say the least. Untrustworthy fraud!

We were living in our home during the renovation and the care and thoughtfulness that went into keeping the construction area clean and tidy for us meant a lot. Both Memo and Abby were in constant communication during the whole process from start to finish!! They showed up on time everyday until the job was complete and we plan to hire them again for our next project.
