I would NEVER recommend this business. My roadside assistance notified me that A&M responded to the tow request and would be providing the service needed with an ETA. They never showed. I waited for 2 hours after the 1 hour eta window, for total waiting time of 5 hours. The next day I tried again, and again, the same thing happened. On the next day, the driver told me to tell him when I was ready, which I did, of which he said it was too late. The next day he said the same, but another tow company towed it because it was on the street in non-working status. I did know this was coming, not the exact day/time, which is why I requested the service on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday......until the city towed it on Thursday between 3:30 - 5:00 pm, the only time during the entire week, I left my house. The cost for that towing is $440 plus $100 city fee. Of which I don't have. Now, the clock is ticking $50/day. Next week, when I'm paid, the bill will be $350 more. Total expected bill - $890, that is my water bill, energy bill, food bill, trash bill... ALL BECAUSE THIS BUSINESS RESPONDED TO THE TOW REQUEST AND DIDN'T SHOW! They shouldn't have taken the request, if they couldn't provide the service. I'M ENRAGED. THEY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. I would give them a negative point rating if I could. utraged that this person was being allowed to do this to a customer. I was inches from a full blown panic attack- and really scared that this guy could really hurt me and nothing was being done to stop him. He finally threw the tire and my lug nuts, saying, "you can put it on yourself B****!" And stalked off. I quickly took my chance and picked up all of my lug nuts, grabbed my worn through spare tire and put it back on my vehicle my d*** self! I had one of the police take my car off of the Jack and got out of there as fast as humanly possible! A few blocks down the road- wouldn't ya know.. he had opened my car's hood, and now it had come unlatched and flew up and broke my windshield.. a $1400 fix on a heated windshield with an eyesight system. SMH- I'm lucky I didn't get really hurt or worse. Please proceed with caution if dealing with this business! He lives and works onsite. The tow truck driver gave me the wrong price and left the window down all night in the rain.

Had a flat on 101 near Trinidad. Sunday night. Called my insurance company for "Roadside Assistance" and they dispatched A&M towing. Raining. Along side the highway. By myself. Getting dark. Not the best situation. The insurance company texted me an arrival time of 6:02 pm. My driver Dylan arrived 20 minutes EARLY! What a great kid! Dylan had to crawl under my truck to get the spare out and change the tire in the rain. Not a single complaint, bitch or cuss word. Triple checked the tightness of my lug nuts. He offered to put my equipment away for me. Showed me the piece of metal that caused the flat. Loaded the bad tire for me. I was ready to leave before the scheduled arrival time. First class service Dylan. I hope your employer appreciates you because I sure do!!! You are now in my contacts. Blessings. read more

Dylan is a jerk. Was referred to this company when I was needing an off-road tow service. Apparently being stuck in half a foot of sand (over in the dunes state park) counts as off-road since AAA and many other companies refused to do it because their trucks are too heavy to drive in sand. I was quoted $300/hr by most places. I spoke to Dylan at A&M and was quoted $500 flat rate, and when I asked if it could go any lower he said he could possibly do $400 if it was a quick job. I wasn't at my vehicle at the time and I told him I'd call back when I went back to the park to check on my car and assess the situation (had to leave it overnight after the park gates closed). After fruitlessly trying to dig out my car, I called Dylan back and he told me before he came out he would need my credit card number to charge me ahead of time. Shady. I asked if I could pay when he arrived or follow him back to the shop to pay after, and he gave me a horrible attitude and told me "wow I guess, I wasn't trying to make it a big deal or anything". Why charge me 500 ahead of time when you quoted me a possible 400 earlier and you haven't even come out to see the state of my car? He told me he would be there in about 20-30min. Thankfully as I was waiting a kind surfer drove by in a pickup truck and offered to tow my car. This was after waiting nearly the full 30min for Dylan. I had a regular rope handy instead of a tow rope, but he doubled it up and within 10min was able to pull me out of the sand. Happily tipped the guy $100 for his trouble instead of paying nearly 5x that to a greedy company for very little work! I called A&M back (at this point it was long after Dylan was originally supposed to arrive) to cancel my service and the lady at the desk told me there was a cancellation fee and that's why they should have taken my card number ahead of time. I was unaware of this fee since instead of expressing that there was a fee or explaining WHY he needed my card earlier, Dylan was passive aggressive and rude to me instead over the phone. Either way, I was stoked to be out of the sand and went on my way. Dylan proceeded to call me over 3 times after that point to chew me out for him "getting nothing" from the job. Eventually ignored his calls and he left me alone. Dude, bottom line, you should have told me there was a cancellation fee to begin with. Of course I'm going to not want to spend half a grand on your greedy service for a simple job that took mere minutes. Sorry for the novel, but in summary A&M is a rip-off and Dylan is unprofessional. Go elsewhere or be prepared to deal with attitude and fork over tons of cash. read more

Had to pick up my boyfriends truck here. The owner said we had to wait because he was taking his truck to race down the street so one of his employees could hear him put it into second gear. So we waited over 15 minutes. Sad customer service for making customers wait and not apologizing or taking care of the customer first. read more

What a great towing company. I can't remember the drivers name but he was a real cheerful young man. He got to my car very fast, and was extra careful securing my car. He checked all the chains twice. The best part was the price, A&M had the best price in town, from Eureka, to McKinleyville. I sank in sand 300ft off south jetty road and had to get 4x4 tow and they were the only ones with 4x4 available. They tried to charge me $800 but I did not have the money so the charged me ONLY $650. Horribly ran business, I'm a business owner myself and If I could give this 0 stars I would. This place is a rip off. I got stuck in some deep sand off the road by somoa cook house so i called around knowing it was gunna be a pretty penny. Buddy's quoted me $150 and hour but the driver to do off road recoveries was not working today. So I called this shitty place that quoted me $500 flat. I agreed and the driver arrived. Cool guy and all don't get me wrong but as he was 1 min into trying to hook up to my car then he pretty much got up and told me to do it. I was baffled so I just did it because I wanted out of the rain. As Im rolling around In the rainy sand trying to hook the strap to the car, he is behind me taking a picture of the car. I had to do it again later at the end of the service as well. I called the company afterwards to ask for a reimbursement of some of the $500. The owner was just rude as heck over the phone and unprofessional. I'm a fair guy and feel like if you pay someone $500 to do something it should be done right. I was very unimpressed with the service I got at this body shop. First, the CHP didn't give me a choice of body shop, then they towed my car to this junker. They were RUDE and GREEDY with their money. They made everything sound like they had to go OUT OF THEIR WAY to fix my car which I was PAYING them to do with no options on my end. They charged my to dig dirt from my tail pipe with a SCREW DRIVER. which I could have easily done myself for free. THESE PEOPLE WILL JACK AS MUCH $ FROM YOU AS THEY CAN WITH THE FOUL ATTITUDE. read more
