Someone else quoted an extreme front brake price (from a major national aftermarket auto service chain), but I knew I could do much better. I bought the correct brake parts, I called the Fitchburg location when the last of my parts arrived in my hands, they said come right now, and I took the parts to A and P. With no hesitation, they installed my parts. Do NOT hesitate to come here, they are courteous, open to discuss matters and they are honest. I brought my car into A & P auto pretty sure I'd need a wheel bearing & possibly a cv axle with it. I did my research & priced those parts. I called at three and confirmed that bearing was gone but so was the axle. I was PLEASANTLY blown away with the price. They stayed after hours!! Thank you Chaz! I was from out of state and my gas tank straps broke. I called them up and because of the circumstances they took me right away. The bolts were rusted on so they drilled everything. The front desk staff was super nice, and the mechanics diagnosed & fixed my engine (including replacing three cylinders they had to get from across town) and gave me an oil change in the span of a couple hours, for a very reasonable price. Brought our Hyundai in for headlights and a coolant leak. Had to come back to get the headlights aimed properly. Called Srini about it the morning after the repair. He totally owned the issue. I brought the vehicle back in that afternoon. It was near closing and Nelly was busy. But not too busy to help me. She had notes from Srini and was expecting me. Went there to have a belt changed that cost me $400 that he never changed AKA. Sean the mechanic and then it was under warranty and tried to lie and say it was something else when I had a mechanic afterwards after I paid to have. My car look at that by A&P had to go somewhere else to get a second opinion and they were wrong And refuse to fix my warranty under my belt. Highly do not recommend. I pulled in with a wheel about to come off because the shop that had put it on didn't tighten the bolts properly. It was 10 degrees out, and It was a friend's car, who didn't have the factory lug wrench in the car. I just needed someone to raise the car with a floor jack and tighten the bolts with a pneumatic wrench, which would have taken 3 minutes. There were cars ahead of me with appointments, so of course I was willing to wait, but the mechanic that spoke to me could not show any less interest in assisting me; Zero customer care or basic consideration. He handed me a standard lug wrench which didn't fit the European car I drove in with, and walked away. Found infinitely better service at Town Fair Tire a mile away. read more

The inspection station also addressed additional issues requiring replacement of tie rods, control arms with ball joints, ignition coils, plugs, valve cover with O rings. I was purchasing parts via the internet so I drove around and called some repairs shops asking would they be willing to put them on. Well, despite the reasons the overall response was NO! The EXCEPTION was when I called and contacted A&P Auto. When I called, the CSR offered to make an immediate appointment or come in. I decided to go in. Upon entry the CSR courteously asked the customer for a pause. I was greeted, "Hello, I will be right with you." And went right back to servicing the prior customer. When my turn I was greeted with a how can I help you. I explained I had previous called, decided to come in. Discussed my vehicle issues. I had to allow for separate product arrival it took two shipments. As each shipment arrived I called, made appointments dropped vehicle off and it was rolling the next day each time. This business relieved any stress or anxiety by helping me save hundreds, allowing me to use products of my choice, their Customer Service are very helpful, professional, to include providing quotes upon request and are close to being quite exact, the mechanics being ASE certified experts will even engage to discuss with you, the labor costs very reasonable, Mr. Srini has a great location, staff, offering a valuable much needed customer service product. I got my inspection sticker and My Cadillac drives so smooth as Cadillacs do. Brakes, Shocks, Oil change are next. WHY? No doubt, Rating 4 out of 5. No one is perfect. Driving up from NJ and my check engine light comes on and car isn't running right, similar story all garages in Leominster and Fitchburg tell me a week until they can even look at it. Pull into A&P and speak with Srini not only can he take me that day he runs the code and has great insight into the issue and explains to me very clearly. I hit a curb and was very concerned about the drive-ability of my damaged wheel. All the other car garages told me I'd have to wait a week, but the owner/Sirini welcomed me right into his garage and was very willing to inspect my wheel. I'm usually skeptical of mechanics because of previous bad experience... BUT A&P Auto does NOT up-charge you on unnecessary services. Sirini was really helpful on telling me what I needed and didn't push any additional services. Honest, reliable, helpful service. A&P was referred to me by a Lyft driver who picked me up from a Firestone. He wondered why I didn't go to a local place like A&P and when I told him my reasons, he said handsdown, A&P could meet my needs. From making an appointment, to picking up my car after a service, I really appreciated the interaction. Making an appointment was VERY easy. I just pulled up and made an appointment for the following day. Detailing what I needed checked and what I needed absolutely done. I came in the next morning to find a different person able to easily find all of the things I mentioned to the woman who scheduled my appointment. Immediately, I gained confidence. After my car was serviced, there was an issue with the alarm caused by them changing the battery. I had to bring a different key back to have it synchronized (or whatever needed to be done). Even though they were closed by then, they allowed me the time to drive home, get the key and come back. I know that was super annoying for them, but they didn't treat me like an annoyance. I have made appointments for future work and I'm hopeful I found a local place who can deal with my car. FYI, the reasons I had trouble with other local mechanics is because for some, they grew too big to be helpful. It was hard getting appointments for simple or major things and you need your car for work so, waiting a week to get in for something important is not helpful. Also, having Saturday hours is a plus. Finally, REASONABLE costs. Not upcharging ridiculous for parts. So. Thank you A&P. read more

This place is the best. They are reasonably priced and the don't sell you stuff you don't need. The fix it the correct way the first time. The owner is very nice and treats you with respect. Instead of just telling me before I start the state inspection, like every other place I've being before, that my car would fail because of the tires, they did the inspection and gave me a red "R". That was Halloween afternoon and I couldn't drive my car until I got new tires. So I have to tell the kids that we have to stay home instead of trick or treat on the mall as planned before. They could do me a courtesy of telling me before I start the inspection so I could come back next day, get new tires and then do the inspection without headaches. But, because of their lack of sensibility I decide to do the service needed in other place. I can't talk about their services because that bad first impression makes me fell uneasy about them. read more
