And our situation was complicated by the fact that he had to satisfy both us and our adjoining neighbors. We had a shared drainage issue and the only way it could be eliminated was if they were equally satisfied with the plan and it's execution. And we were. I would unconditionally recommend him.

Connor is by far one of the best contractors I've ever hired. From the consultation all the way through to the completion of the project he was absolutely professional on every front. We have been having water issues in our back and side yards. Our backyard has a pretty decent slope to it and the water would pool between our patio and playground. Connor came out and did a through inspection of the property and advised installing a catch basin in the back yard that would dump out into the street as well as a French drain to handle the soggy side yard. When we informed Connor that we'd be using him he told me he'd rethought some things about the project. Just the idea that he'd put additional thought into our situation before we'd signed a contract made me feel like he really cared about helping us. Throughout the project we kept remarking about how efficient and thorough his work was. Every day he cleaned up after himself and made sure any digging was filled back in. I've never hired someone who has worked as hard as Connor. I cannot say enough how grateful we were for his meticulousness and professionalism. A few days after all the pipes had been laid down we had a decent bout of rain in the morning. Usually this would mean a small pond in our backyard and our side yard would be marshland for days. We had no pooling in the backyard and when I checked the side yard at about 2 pm the ground was almost dry. I was hopeful that it would work but I was astonished at how well it worked. On top of all of the high quality, thoughtful work I think the price Connor charged was absolutely fair. If you have any issues that Connor can solve do not hesitate to hire him!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Mike saved my mental health, and that's not an…read moreoverstatement. I was defrauded by another contractor, losing an absurd amount of money and 3 years of access to our yard. Mike jumped in to start work immediately when I finally reached out for help, making my yard safe and enjoyable again. He's still continuing to fix the work the other contractor started, but he's also taken on other projects that are improving our experience of our space. It gives me a lot of hope and has helped me heal in the middle of one of the worst experiences of my life. Mike is always engaged, even when he isn't the one completing a task. He comes around and checked up on work constantly. He's also communicative, honest, and transparent. He genuinely seems to love what he does and does really good work. I've seen the worst of landscapers and contractors -- but Mike is absolutely one of the best. His team is full of great people who are hard workers and do great work too! There's nothing I could say that could ever sum up how much I appreciate Kim's Landscaping. Highly recommend!

When I hired Kims Landscaping, I expected and trusted that they would provide me with a fair and…read moreprofessional job, especially after the videos I've seen from not only their Facebook posts but from what Mr. Kim showed me before they started my project. Unfortunately, it is not what they provided. Instead, they destroyed my backyard in such a way that made it impossible for any grass cutting lawn machine to operate that area. They gave many excuses as to why that was but mentioned they were going to return to fix and complete the job. Unfortunately, they kept stringing me along as if they were returning to make this right, but they never did. It was now May 25th, and over 2 months passed since they started the project, yet still I was waiting for them to return to complete it. I then had no choice but to hire another company to come out to repair and complete my backyard in the condition that it should have been. I ended up paying double because of this mess.. I then contacted Kims Landscaping to request a settlement agreement to compensate me for the extra expenses that I lost by paying another company to come out to restore my backyard. They preferred to offer me to come out for the season to do a regular and biweekly cut at no cost as compensation, but even this they did wrong. They left my grass high and all the weeds untouched. On the first cut, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for them to fix it on the next..Unfortunately, they did it again but worse, and I had no choice but to hire other permanent landscapers because apparently Kims Landscaping became a joke. I have plenty of photos to show the work they have done but for some reason I am unable to attach it to this post. They also ran over and destroyed a trampoline I had dismantled in the ground. And they also ran over my downspout. Wish I could download the photos.

I reached out to this company to renovate a flowerbed in my backyard. The work included removing…read moreexisting material & weeds, installing landscape fabric and herbicide application for a 200 SqFt area. The estimate included 2 tons of 1-3" river rock. The workers arrived on time as scheduled. They left without speaking with me and I was very disappointed to find that the work was incomplete. I got a call from Kyler, who let me know that they ran out of river rock. They underestimated the amount of rock needed for the job. I thought to myself, OK, mistakes happen. I was surprised that instead of standing by his estimate, he demanded an additional $400 for another ton of river rock to finish the job. I took the reasonable route and offered to meet him halfway. He refused and instead offered 10% ($40 off). I replied that this is unacceptable as the mistake was on his end. I work in Customer Service. I understand that he may not have the authority to apply a discount more than the 10% offered, so I asked to speak with a Manager or the owner of the company. I was told that he is the only person I can talk to and meeting me halfway on the additional cost would put his company "In the red". I find this extremely difficult to believe. Their profit margin is that small? I don't think so. The next day I tried again to reason with him. As the customer, I relied on his expertise to determine how much material was needed. I wasn't the one measuring the area, calculating square footage, or determining the quantity of stone. That's what I hired them to do. Mind you, I have since measured the area myself, and found that it was actually significantly less than 200 SqFt. This proves that his estimate was WAY off. In my mind, I shouldn't be responsible for paying for the mistake. Again, I offered to meet him halfway and he declined. Once again, I asked for his direct Supervisor's contact info and he refused to provide me with it. This is HORRIBLE customer service. The result is an unfinished project, unless I agree to pay hundreds of dollars more than the quoted price. Since I declined, I'll be purchasing the remaining stone myself and completing the job on my own. My advice is to stay away from this company, or double-check that the amount of stone on the estimate is sufficient for your job. It's clear by my experience that they cannot be trusted to do this accurately, nor are they willing to come to a reasonable compromise to resolve the issue.
