After many many months of "working" with Paul at A&S in Midland, MI. I have come to realize that everyone there is nothing more than "salesmen"!! Let me clarify: They will do and say anything to sell you their shoddy product, they will do and say anything to make you think they are looking out for your best interest, and they will do and say anything to have you sign on the bottom line and take all your money. I was warned about doing business with A&S but I thought, no this can't be true, so I gave them my business. Boy did I make a huge mistake!!! I have come to realize that they are all like little children-if you don't take them by the hand and show them exactly what needs done, they will only do the bare minimum and nothing else, but they will tell you "it is all taken care of". Example is my awning: I had shown them where it needed to be reattached to the trailer and I was told that they would reattach it and make it secure, when all they did was add some glue to try and make it hold. Guess what? I am having a repair man come to my trailer and actually fix it correctly. I could go on and on but lets just suffice it to say, "Please don't EVER go to A&S in Midland, MI and expect that they will do ANYTHING good for you. It is all about them!!! read more

I recently stopped by A&S while passing through the Metro area. They had a model on their lot I'm considering buying, but I wanted a chance to get the opinion on it from a family member with a long history of RVing. Greg Jones met us as the door, and I immediately told him that I would appreciate his help, but was not based in the area and was merely looking, with no intention of buying. Even with that caveat, Greg spent 30 minutes looking over the small model with us, enduring the thorough but well-intentioned questions posed by my family member, and commenting forthright on both the plusses and minuses of the model I was considering. I really appreciated this level of attention from someone he knew wouldn't turn into a sale. I hesitate only to give five stars because I feel I can't do so without having actually dealt with purchasing, service, etc. But Greg was awesome, and I really appreciated his time and candor. read more

We took our camper in for a leak in the roof and general inspection. $500 later, they told us that the stove, water heater and furnace would not light and that they could not get the brakes to work. They said they sealed the leak in the roof and it should dry on its own and reseal to the fiberglass and they quoted $2000 to fully repair the roof and wall if we were concerned with the appearance. They also replaced a cracked vent. The next day, I replaced a second roof vent myself when I noticed that another vent was shattered. On our first camping trip, we found that the leak had not been repaired and was getting worse. We took it back to be inspected and they told us that it would now cost $2000 to repair and that we would have to take it to a body shop. They did patch and seal the seam "for now" but were unsure how long it would last and basically told me that I was lying to them when I had repeated the information they had told me on our first visit. We were able to use the brakes with no problem and the hot water heater and stove function perfectly without intervention. ***After posting the initial review, the service manager from the two-store chain called me to make things right. He apologized for the errors in the initial inspection and requested we bring the camper so that he could inspect it himself. To make a long story short, they fixed the leak by replacing trim and replaced the front fiberglass panel and decal. Because the overnight temperature fell below 32degrees, he also volunteered to winterize it for us. The work seems to be well-done and appears very nicely finished. Though our initial visits were less than we expected, Paul went above and beyond to make sure that the work was completed thoroughly and respectfully. Because I am new at hitching a larger camper, they assisted me in connecting the camper to my truck when the work was complete. Thank you for making things right! read more
