We paid a 50% deposit to get on the schedule and I was able to pay that by credit card without an extra fee, which was appreciated since it allowed me to get reward points on the purchase. A crew of three guys came out to the house early in the morning and completed the job just before dark. They did a phenomenal job. Each step was documented with pictures to show where rotten decking needed to be replaced, and an explanation of everything. Despite already being reasonably priced, Thomas gave us a nice discount for the extra decking on the final invoice, which was a happy surprised and very much appreciated. Also - check their estimates - their disclosures are not only humorous but against public policy. It actually says they guarantee pretty much none of their work. Sadly, For most homeowners, once they are made aware of this after the fact they end up paying up again it realizing such clauses are not enforceable.

Rather than fix the problem or do an investigation, David simply said that he had only purchased the assets of the previous owner and not the liabilities and would not do the work that we had paid them to do. He further stated that I could sue the previous owner but that the previous owner had retired to Florida and had a federal tax lien against him. I was blown away not only that they would not replace decking that I had already paid for but that they would refuse to take any responsibility. David further had the gall to condition his fixing the problem with us giving them another project to offset the cost! I can't believe that a company could have such low integrity.
