After some research, we felt good about calling Terry and the crew and scheduled them to come out for a quote. When we met with Terry to get his vision for a retaining wall; he was friendly and knew what we wanted from the start. He was able to match the brick work that was already pre-existing in the back of our house; which was a plus! Terry and his crew scheduled a time to come out to work on the wall; and they made it look awesome! They made sure to include drainage areas and the tiered looks is just what we wanted for the steep incline in our yard. Not only do we use GLC for our retaining wall, we also use them to treat our yard and do most of the yard work. When we first moved in, our yard was filled with mostly weeds and we had a "grub" problem. Well, with their help, our yard is looking better and the grass is actually green and well taken care of! They do all sorts of treatment throughout the year for us at a decent rate and we are so lucky to have them come out to mow the lawn too! When the crew arrives for lawn service, they get things done pretty quickly and always make sure to clean up after themselves. In fact, they've been servicing the St. Louis area for 30 years. So I am encouraging others to support a mom & pop local business that is top notch. They not only mow my yard, they've trimmed my bushes, shaped a tree and taken care of my leaves in the autumn. They've also done some beautiful landscaping for my friend (who referred me), so this year they'll be assisting and doing my two tiered retaining wall in my front yard. I truly do enjoy arriving home from work and as I exit the garage, I get the aroma of fresh-cut grass. As I look around from my patio, my yard is perfectly mowed, edged and all the trimming put away. They mow my yard every two weeks and will come in between at my request. My yard is a typical inner city postage stamp yard in front and back and the price they charge is worth every penny, to give me more free time to Yelp.
