the exterior of a restaurant

My memories of A&W go back to the "walk-up" seasonal only dog stands that served root beer from a mug pulled out of a cold water bath and hot dogs served with a tangy sauce instead of catsup. My adult life has been spent in a search for those dogs. A&W has changed with the times. This outlet shared a split personality with KFC. I suppose you do what pays the rent. The A&W offerings include: burgers, coney dogs and french fries (which were never offered at "old" A&W's). The KFC side offers... well: KFC. Now the good news, draught root beer and you can fill your refill from the tap.

I love the A&W/KFC combo. I got a papa burger combo with a root beer float and the KFC famous bowl. I also got a side of the sauce on the papa burger. Everything was good as expected. The servers were nice as well. The food did take about 10 minutes which was a bit excessive for fast food.

Cuts Deli in Cedar Springs, Michigan, is the kind of place that makes you wish your stomach had a…read moresnooze button--because once you've tasted their smoked meats , you'll be dreaming about them all week. Nestled at 4848 18 Mile Rd NE, this unassuming barbecue and deli joint has quietly earned its reputation as one of the area's hidden gems. On a rare day when the stars aligned and breakfast didn't sabotage lunch , I managed to place a midday order: a half rack of ribs and a half pound of lean brisket , both paired with their signature house sauce . The result? A carnivore's symphony . Cuts Deli doesn't just serve meat --they serve a masterclass in smoke, flavor, and portion control (or lack thereof). The brisket was tender and smoky, the ribs rich and satisfying, and the sauce added just the right zing to make each bite feel like a celebration . The portions are generous--borderline heroic--and while I tried to balance things out with a side of California blend veggies at home , let's be honest: this meal was all about the meat . Cuts Deli doesn't skimp, and they don't miss. Whether it's their brisket sandwich , spring turkey with cranberry mayo , or chili cheese fries , locals rave about the freshness and flavor. Open Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 7 PM, Cuts Deli is a weekend indulgence worth planning around . My only gripe? That I can't eat there every day without risking a full-blown smoked meat addiction. If you haven't yet made the pilgrimage to Cuts Deli, consider this your sign . Just don't sleep in too late--you'll want to beat the rush before your favorites sell out .

Not sure what the bright orange colors have to do with Bigfoot, but I liked it. This is an order and pay at the counter and they'll call you when it is ready. This is not fast food, everything is cooked to order. I ordered a Yeehaw Burger ($18). This is a 1/2lb Bigfoot Blend Burger, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Crispy onion, KC Style BBQ Sauce on a Brioche Bun. The meat is a blend of Brisket, Bacon, and ground chuck. The blend itself is excellent. I could definitely taste the brisket in the blend. The burger itself as a whole was very good, it just missed in one regard. The bbq sauce was not to my liking. They have a lot of options to choose from though. The fries that come with it are very good, nice and crunchy. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a very solid 4 star review. Would I return? Yes, while it's not going to crack my top 5 in the area, it is a very good burger spot and I highly recommend a stop.

Being a burger joint, we obviously ordered everything but the burgers lol. We had a long trip ahead and didn't wanna feel too greasy but looking over at other tables later, the burgers looked delicious. I got the peach salad that came with curried pumpkin seeds and shredded asiago and croutons. I added grilled chicken for $4. I wished there were some fresh peaches on it but the salad was tossed in a peach dressing instead. The croutons also tasted like fried pieces of sandwich bread. I will say, I was so pleasantly surprised by how delicious this salad was! Holy cow, after a few days of camping, having vegetables was one thing, having this salad changed my outlook on life. My fiancé was a little saddened by the fact that we will be no where near this place (from Connecticut) becuase he thoroughly enjoyed his brisket wrap. Maybe it's the Mid Western charm and hospitality, but our experience was so great. After getting the bill, our waiter (who had two colored socks on and my friend thought he only had one, but alas, one sock was just black while the other was a hot pink) offered us our drinks to go and brought us back a full cup of iced tea and Dr Pepper. Our table of four left with a $70 bill which was fantastic, given that the food also satiated us to the best degree. All the way from CT, I wanna say: thank you Michigan. And thank you to the Gnarly Heifer, even though we did not taste your Heif.

The online ordering wasn't working the night we were there, so I sent Nate outside to order for us. They give you a beeper so you know when to go back outside to pick up your food - helpful for the snowy November night! The menu consists of smash burgers, an Impossible burger, fries, pretzel bites, and chicken nuggets. I got a double Original Lost Art, and Nate got the Frankenstein, which is a double burger with one beef patty and a ground kielbasa patty. We also got a side of fries to share. Our food was done pretty quickly and the burgers were big! I liked that they wrap them up a bit so it's easier to eat. Mine was pretty messy and the buns did end up sliding all over, so be sure to get some extra napkins. The patties were thin, seasoned well, and super tasty. I absolutely loved the fries. They were super hot and fresh, with lots of salt. The star for me was the Frankenstein burger, though. The addition of the ground kielbasa patty is just next-level. If you like sausage, you have to try this. Super delicious and I hope to see Lost Art Burger around town more often, otherwise I'll be back to Lost Art Brewhouse for more tasty food soon.
