Mr Mikes in Slave Lake is exactly what you would expect it to be - A comfortable and familiar face if you're coming from the big city or coming into town from camp. The atmosphere is as you'd expect too - cozy, relatively up to date but still resembling the chain of restaurants it belongs to. Speaking for myself and my partner, we have yet to have a bad experience at the restaurant. Our food has always been on our table within a reasonable time, the staff have always been personable and our meals have been good. We often eat the steak, pastas or miscellaneous appetizers and not once have we had a bad experience. Albeit the business does appear to have younger staff who may be students that make occasional small and minor errors, but I'm not that guy to hold those kids feet to the fire. The general manager and upper management team are very welcoming and I'm happy in a small way to support their business.
