Just as we were about to head back I spotted a sign and thought I could get a cup of coffee here. Once inside we decided to stay and have a dessert for my wife and a bowl of soup for me. I'm glad we stayed. My bowl of cream of cabbage soup was delicious. This certainly didn't come from a can or powder. The service was friendly in a comfortable sort of way. They had lots of deserts and ice-cream but it's too cold today to enjoy ice-cream. I don't know when I'll pass through this little community again but when I do I will want to stop here for breakfast or lunch.

Especially seeing as we're First Nations people and we face discrimination everyday. These two young people were doing a workshop for indigenous youth nearby and wanted a bite to eat.. they were sat next to an intoxicated patron who kept bumping his gf's chair, he apologized but then kept staring at them as they received their food. My friend asked him politely to stop staring at them, and the man challenged my friend to which he said no, they just wanted to leave. The server told the man to calm down and he told the server, "You know better than to serve those Indians". My friend and his gf left but the intoxicated patron was allowed to stay, and was continued service. I'm sorry but even if you allow racism in your establishment it must mean you are too. Just wanted to share in case any native Americans were planning on eating here! Don't go!

My wife and I stopped by yesterday to grab a bite to eat late in the day after a real long day, at A&W on Main, and my wife says, "hey you should try the new vegetable burger". Now, I am a definite meat-a-saurus, and so rolling my eyes at her and groaning "yeeeaah right!" I had to agree since recommended highly I could stand to at least "try" something a bit healthier. Now to look at me you would KNOW I'm an authority on food, yeah, I'm a big guy, a foodie, cook amazing food people eat and say, "you should open your own restaurant" to, and I am going to tell you something... The new veggie burger, just blew my mind, and my tastebuds. Wow. I had to concede, that is the undisputed, BEST hamburger I have EVER eaten!! Bar none! Man, I hope you keep it around A&W!
