Well, I am turning this business into the BBB. I paid $5000 and $195 for Venus, for Lori Fisk said for rest of life. Should have and actually had thought, I bet she comes up with a reason to cancel what she told me. And she did. Let me come in to find they had retired that particular machine. Then wanted $4000 something for something new. She took out me a credit card info to get the $5000, I didn't ask for since it was a supposed free consultation. So I wasn't going to go that route and took it out of my IRA. Now she wants to offer me a lunch facial for the $195 everytime. That is NOT the same thing. Cheaper, not the lazer of Venus I wanted something comparable and asked. Have heard NOTHING!!! I'm hurt and won't be back. I went in for their special on their "SculpSure Permanent Fat Destrucion". They assured me I would "definitely" see results and lose some of the weight that I've put on in the past few years. I was reluctant to do it because the First Lady I spoke to told me that they do not offer a guarantee, nor do they have any sort of contingency plan, should their laser not produce the results it has been said to produce. I guess she could tell I was concerned at their unwillingness to back their service with a guarantee. So they sent another woman in to talk to me. She showed me pictures of her results (before and after) of her experience with the same machine they would be using on me. I was impressed! I again asked about any sort of plan as to what we would try next, if it didn't work on me. I was simply told it would work. "Every patient has had weight loss as a result of this service", I was told. Stupidly I agreed to try three sessions. After my first, I saw no change but was reassured that it takes 6-12 weeks to see results. Second session, there was a change... I GAINED 5lbs!!! I was told I wasn't drinking enough water. What!?! I forgot to mention they have me a very strict diet plan to follow at my first session and told me that following it would increase my weight loss when coupled with their laser service. I had been following it to the T and yet I gained 5lbs. The third session I had gained another 2lbs. I was crushed. I did everything EXACTLY how they instructed me gave them over $1000 bucks and I gained 7lbs. I asked for a refund. No. I asked for a partial refund. No. I asked if a couple more sessions would help? They said "it might". So I asked if they would give them to me for free, but that if they worked, I would pay them for the two extra. No! They care about making money to pay for their over priced laser (at one of my sessions the manager troll me they paid over 100k for it and they run the sales to help them pay for the machine). This made no sense to me, nor did I understand why she told me this. I've repeatedly asked them to do the right thing by returning my money. They refuse. I pulled this from their website: A Beautiful You Medical Spa is among the first medical spas in the Memphis area to offer SculpSure body contouring. *This FDA-cleared device will destroy up to 25% of fat cells in a treatment area. Best of all, the SculpSure treatment takes only 25 minutes to administer. No where does it mention that you may not see results at all, nor does it mention anything about weight gain. They are frauds who use photoshopped pictures to get you excited and gain your trust while they suck thousands of dollars out of you. I HAVE repeatedly contacted you. I have called, emailed, and responded to your private message here in Yelp. You've yet to offer any resolution. Fortunately I kept all of our email conversations and am happy to provide screen shots on here if you'd like for the world to see them? I went in for a consultation for lip filler and Botox. Lori kept telling me not to do and I didn't understand why. She wanted me to try other services and I kept telling her that's not what I want. I gave in and got a hydra facial and she at least scheduled me for my lips. I went and they cancelled my lip injections but I still got the hydra facial. It wasn't that great. She didn't even do a chemical peel. Then I was going back and she cancelled me again. So I got rescheduled. They just kept blowing me off. So I just took my services elsewhere. read more

I came to BYMS during summer. I wanted information on body sculpting. I had health issues in the past and needed to loose 15lbs after being diagnosed with thyroid desease. I was not overweight but I was not happy with the extra 15lbs in my body. Once I started my medication, life changing style and exercise and I met my weight goal. The owner saw me, explained about body sculpting and I truly liked that she was real honest about this not being a magic potion. That it was not targeted for overweight people but to those who needed help in certain areas of their body. She explain to me that I was a perfect candidate. I weight 120lbs when I started. Now I weight 115. And the final results are not done yet. I did two body sculpting sessions and by the end of October I should see more improvements in my area. The laser treatments worked wonders on my underarms. I have dark, thick, coarse hair, especially on my underarms and would shave every night only to have it already grown back in the next day. My underarms always looked dark because of the dark hair right under the surface, so even when I did shave I was always embarrassed to raise my arms. It was such a pain for me to deal with. My underarms now have basically no hair, and within the first couple treatments the hair was lighter, thinner, and growing in much slower. Now, after my last treatment I am hair free. (For Laser Hair Removal treatment reference, I'm half Asian, half Black and have dark hair and an olive complexion.) The office and rooms are clean and fresh. Staff at ABYMS is extremely helpful, professional and friendly! Owner Lorrie Fisk explains everything for the procedures and doesn't mind going over it again when I forget details. I actually saw her post for Valentine pricing specials on LiveFIT Bootcamp & Studio's fb page...then realized/remembered I had won a microdermabrasion treatment through our local PTA auction--a year ago! Of course, I was just a week past the expiration date but Lorrie still honored it. We then discussed the different services that their medical spa offered. She also told me if she thought certain services wouldn't benefit me. I became a client that day because I hadn't had Laser Hair Removal Treatments in quite some time and was ready to try again, plus the price was right and Lorrie "set the tone" on trusting her and her staff. The microdermabrasion left me feeling relaxed. I just had my 2nd LHR treatment and my results are remarkable! I used to treat my underarms and bikini area years ago and the results were just "ok." (I added legs because of the deal.) I didn't shave my underarms in the month between my two visits--because it wasn't necessary! The hair on my legs was already sparse (although they've never had treatment before, but I haven't really seen anything between visits.) Even my bikini area (and, yes, it's coarse) had bare spots that.stayed.bare. Oh, I even set up a payment plan so I didn't have to shell it all out in advance: interest-free for 12 months, so I'm paying roughly $109/mo for all three areas (five visits, I think, plus two touch-ups). I also set up auto-payments so I don't "forget" to pay so as to avoid penalties/interest. I plan on trying out the Venus Legacy treatment next as I'm just not into Botox. UPDATE: First, I would like to start off by saying how disappointed I am in the lack of professionalism demonstrated by JL's response to my previous review. I am not sure why I am being attacked for writing my honest opinion. I did not have any use for a yelp account before but felt the need to warn others about the potential misleadings of this business. I only contacted them to receive a quote to decide my best option for the service I wanted. The other businesses I contacted were very professional and to the point about their prices and were not pressuring me to make an appointment. I was not disappointed with the original price she stated. I was, however, confused because the website states 60% off and buy 1 get 2 free. When I calculated the discount ($348, 60% off the original price of $870 I was told) she then told me that was ridiculously low and that they never sold treatments for that low. And a list of satisfied clients? I have looked at numerous reviews where people have said that their skin was burned during laser hair removal or that their hair grew back thicker than it was before your treatments. Many reviews stated that 10 treatments still did not remove the hair and the aesthetic consultant, Lorrie, was trying to pressure them into more treatments. It seems like there is a lack of professionalism in more than one area with this company. I find it very offensive that you are accusing me of defaming you. The correct word in this scenario would be libel since it is written, not slander which is spoken. You might want to learn basic business law if are going to falsely accuse people. This is not libel because in order for it to be defamation it has to be false. See attached screenshots of my conversation with Lorrie where she gave me a quote over text message that does not match what the website states. I am just trying to warn others that what may seem like a good deal is just a way for the business to get you in the door to try to upsell you. I understand that this is a business and they have to make money but there is a better way to go about doing it that does not deceive people. Attacking people for posting bad reviews is childish and extremely inappropriate. Other businesses simply apologize and try to make the customer happy. In this case, JL is acting like a child, which again is so unprofessional. A Beautiful You Medical Spa is committing fraud. I am looking for a place to do Sculpsure and talked to Lorrie, the owner, about this specific service. I asked her what the original price of sculpsure was and she replied $870. I was very pleased with that price to begin with. On their website it states that it is 60% off this month. I asked her if it would now be $348 with the 60% off. She told me, "no, we've never sold a SS tx for that low". Um, why is it on your website as 60% off if you are not going to sell it for that low? If she is claiming that the $870 is with the 60% off then that would make the original price of 1 Sculpsure treatment $2,175. According to healthline the average price of one treatment is $1,400-1,500. So if this is the case they are way overcharging customers. Another promotion it states is buy one get 2 free. Well guess what that is not $870. So how is one treatment $870 by itself but then you want to add in 2 free sessions the price automatically goes up. They are trying to deceive people and that is very unprofessional and illegal. I am interested in what price she is telling others Sculpsure is for them. I will not be going to this deceptive spa and will tell others not to as well. Very disappointed!!! read more

If you want to be over-charged for a service with little to no results, then this is the place for you. I got a package for multiple hair removal areas and after 5 treatments was seeing zero effect on the hair. I called to ask about it and was told that I needed to come in and let them see if my hair was treatable. When I asked what my initial consultation was about and why I was told that I was treatable, the only answer I got was more products to purchase for removing the hair and how many more treatments I could buy. Beware of the laser hair removal. It does not work. It is not permanent hair removal. This is not true. I was a customer at Sona Med Spa. They changed their name too A Beautiful You Medical Spa. They would not honor the package that I purchased. The lady who sold me the package no longer works there. She sold me a package of seven treatments with the laser hair removal package. She said I would be able to get at least 1 to 2 free touchups if that did not remove all the hair.It was not satisfactory. I was lied to multiple times about them having one (still have the emails) . will have to just balance of my gift card on products or as Lora suggested why don't you concentrate on our other services. I purchased a package in January where I received three areas with 7 treatments for $1500. I recently graduated college in December and wanted to gift myself in this way. I have been receiving treatment in my lower legs, upper legs and underarms. This was a huge waste of money and I truly regret picking this spa. They told me I was a perfect candidate as I have light skin with very dark hair. I have received 5 treatments and I still have TONS of hair. I only have two more left and I do not believe these treatments will take away the hair as it has done nothing so far. The last time I went in for a treatment the lady said how surprised she was that the hair had not been removed and claim she would make a note of it. There is no wonder they have all these specials going on. They are really terrible. I tried to refute after my third visit because I was told that I should see progress then but I was unable to do so.
