I live in a condominium complex and A Best Roofing decided to use my expensive umbrella to hold a a cable for their equipment. I never gave my permission for them to do this. Not only that. I had two packages delivered while I was at work. One is missing! I am furious! The very least they could have done is put everything back the way it was. I'm told the boss will be here tomorrow. I'm beyond mad. They should not have to use anything of mine to help in their work. I bought my umbrella for my enjoyment not to help A Best Roofing put up a new roof. Barely any spoke English. One did however try to use translator on his phone to communicate with me. I do appreciate his efforts. 1) the roofers could have asked the office to contact me on using my umbrella. They didn't. 2) I had two packages delivered and one is missing! They were the only ones in my courtyard and it's gone! I might change my review after talking with their boss. Right now if I could give zero stars. Their manager did come back and agreed to make things right. The package that ended up missing he agreed to reimburse me the $35. In speaking with the manager he informed me that a letter was sent to me. I didn't receive it. Could be the issue of a mail carrier putting it in the wrong mailbox. Mishaps do occur and a good nights sleep calmed my attitude. I've changed my review from 1 star to 5 star because the manager and the workers this morning did everything to make it right. read more

This has been the woest experience with any company.Actual been a nightmare. They train the salesman to give you a good pitch to sale you their product but it's all about of BS! Hired them for the seemless guttering system paid way to much for it to begin with & then they put it on my house with double drip edge. just because the roofing company I hired (not them) did the original drip edge incorrectly & hung the guttering system anyway without telling me anything & needless to say it looks like sh^^, & wants to charge me an additional $2800 to come back & make it look right!! this is totally wrong on so many levels. not happening A1-Roofing out of of Tulsa. & it also leaks on every corner of my house. not a Happy customer at ALL! if I had to do it all over again I would definitely not hire A1-Roofing, buyers be aware!! Our experience with A-Best has been a nightmare! They used a Sub not in-house to replace our roof. A leak caused all our wood floors to be ruined. What should have been a restoration was a cheap bandaid Fix. Three times our floors have been refinished Dust and all. This is a very nice home and they did not use insurance to restore our home but chose the cheapest option Per the gentleman now running the company. We are finishing the restoration ourselves. A-Best just put a new roof on my house, and they did it in one day. Rain was expected that night, so they sent a larger crew to get it done. They cleaned up very well! I was impressed with their preparation from the time materials were delivered until the job was finished. One employee came first to measure and tell me what would be done, etc. Jordan Kennedy who was in charge of the actual project came to make final preparations. Jordan was very professional and easy to work with, and he made sure the job was done to high standards. I have mixed feelings about this company, first the guy that came out to do the estimate was super nice super knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done and how he would do it to include a video of our roof. Then he turned into a high-pressure salesman. He gave me a quote of over $10,000. Shocked at the price he quoted me. I called another business and basically doing the same work with the same materials. I have a guy doing my roof for less than $2000. That's a help remark up. I have audio recordings of my interactions with these people. I have all my documentation and a complete timeline of what happened. I will not add them here, but I just want to be clear that I have proof of the bad business dealings of people from this company. From the first this business was suspicious. First, I hired them because they said they would follow up on their work and fix anything that was wrong. They were expensive, but I thought it was because they would make sure the job was done well. They had A+ rating on Better Business Bureau. But right from the beginning they gave me 2 quotes. One considerably cheaper than the other. I just needed flashing around a pipe on my roof. They pitched an up-sale on a couple of different price points. I chose the cheapest which included work that was recommended but not really necessary. They said the flashing around my electric pipe was getting old and it would be best to replace it. That was part of the cheaper quote. I called Jamie, the saleman, to ok it. He told me to sign the contract he sent me electronically even though it had both price points. He said I would only be charged the cheapest price. That seemed like it could be bad for me if someone decided to say I promised to pay both prices. I asked him to resend a contract with only the cheapest price. He said he would and he did. I paid for the service on 6/15/26. I never got an appointment for when they would do the job. I kept texting and leaving voicemails with Jamie. He never responded. The big wind storm happened. I figured they were too busy to do my small job. I called another roofer. 7/14/23 The day the other roofer came out here the A-Best, Eddie, project manager showed up at the same time. He said it was my fault I didn't get an appointment. I was supposed to call him, not Jamie. Even though they gave me his information after I signed the contract, I didn't realize that Jamie was no longer involved. I thought Jamie was the main contact. Eddie kept going on and on about how I was wrong. I just blew it off as a sign that they guy had a bad personality. I talked to both contractors. The other one was over $1,000 cheaper. But A-Best Eddie said that they would guarantee their work. If anything happened then they would make it right, so I went with them. 7/17/23 Michael came out and did the work. After that when it rained I could smell rain in my kitchen just like I was standing over a big puddle outside. I thought it might go away but it got stronger since it was raining every morning. 8/8/23 I called Eddie and asked that he send someone to check the roof because of the smell. He made a big deal about how lucky I was that I chose them because the other guy would not have come out to check on the roof. I wasn't sure that was entirely true, but I went along with it because I already thought the guy had a pushy personality and there was no point in disagreeing with him. I just wanted the job checked. 8/8/23 He came out and looked at the roof. He took a picture of the electrical pipe on the roof. The weather head had been shifted so that it was not completely on the pipe. Water was pouring straight down into the electrical lines to my house. He said that someone had done that. I said that his guy had worked at the base of that pipe and put flashing on it. He had to be the one that knocked that over. He said it was impossible because it would have electrocuted the guy. I asked if he could just move the weather head over. He said that he couldn't because it would electrocute him. He kept talking to me in a commanding voice telling me I was wrong about everything I said. Finally, he left even though he never could get me to agree with him. I called an electrician. He literally moved the weather head about 4 inches and charged me $95. All Eddie had to do was to move that weather head and everything would have been fine. Instead he chose to verbally abuse me, not fix the mistake his guy did, and to leave my house with rain falling straight down in the electric lines. read more

After calling to see if we could get a free estimate to see what and how much our repair or replacement would be they scheduled 4 days out. No problem. At the time they asked me if we needed a repair or a replacement. I thought this odd since I have no idea and had just told them we needed to know which we needed. Their estimater comes out, crawls on our roof, takes pictures, comes down and shows us the picstures only to say that we need a replacement, someone else had to schedule and come out to do that estimate and that insurance wouldnt pay for any of it. He also said that he 'hoped it didnt rain before they could get back out to us.' Ummm?? ok?? This was on a Thursday and as he was leaving he stated I would get a call Thursday afternoon or Friday morning to schedule. MONDAY!! I call THEM only to get transferred twice and then told that we had been 'overlooked' and that they could have someone out in a week. WHAT THE HECK?!? I had to wait for someone else to call me back to schedule....again. I then called around and found MAXX Roofing. They not only came out THAT EVENING but also did a temp repair incase it rained before we could be fixed. He then worked with our insurance adjuster without even having a contract yet (yes, insurance paid in full. Imagine that.) and had it completely replaced in 1 day after our insurance adjuster gave his OK. There is no way I would ever call A Best again. The run-around and over scheduling is for the birds. And since we were told it WASNT an insurance job only for our insurance to pay completely???? Yeah, just call MAXX roofing. read more

Long story long! And to get the important part out without having to read my novel,I'll say they were amazing from start to finish even down to our OWN electrical issue that had nothing to do with the roof buuuut here's the full story. I've been in and out of state half the month and I rarely know my schedule day to day. I came to see my father and see his brand new roof that he was desperately in need of and I was impressed,Not just with the quality but the solid day of hard work from their crew. My dad has had several strokes and one day he can speak clearly and others he can't answer yes or no so it hurt my heart when I came back to find his electric wasn't working in half the house since the roof was put on. When he could communicate better he told me he signed a contract saying they weren't responsible for anything that went wrong due to the roofers (and that wasn't exactly what it said but what he thought it said) I called and left a message as it was WEEKS later and late. I got a callback the next morning from Tim. He was helpful but due to my own scheduling issues I could meet him for almost another two weeks. Today even after it's way past the time to claim something is wrong,Tim brought out one of his guys (I'm so sorry I forgot his name!) with electrical knowledge. Long story long see! We find out two very ancient breakers are out. They even offered to repair it. I have a friend that can help so I was just grateful for them going above and beyond for a customer and a customers daughter who clearly shouldn't have trusted that dad flipped the breakers to check so I declined their kind offer. Oh my..... again fantastic company with compassion and ethics so many lack these days. Thankyou again guys. Hopefully you get this novel. We will be using you for my own house now! read more

Issue: Had a small leak that needed immediate attention. The next few days were supposed to be rainy, so I called A-Best to send someone out as soon as possible to patch or fix the problem. The Good: A-Best apparently has a group that specializes in emergency repairs. They came out within two hours and diagnosed the issue and put a tarp around the cause of the leak, then scheduled for a guy to do an estimate the following week for a permanent repair. I was told over the phone by Vivian that the cost was a minimum of $299, but she said that if it's a small job like ours sounded like, it would probably be no more than $299. The bad: The A-Best worker (Marcos) did a good job, although he spent less than 10 minutes diagnosing the problem and less than 10 minutes installing the tarp. He spent about an hour in between waiting in his truck for a co-worker to bring him a tarp. The next day, A-Best's billing department called and said the price was around $500. I argued that they had told me previously it would most likely be $299 for a small job like ours, but after some haggling they reduced it to around $400. I felt like I was deceived by A-Best on the cost of the service but agreed to pay the $400 bill, which seemed pretty steep for just putting up a tarp to temporarily stop more leaks. Based on overcharging us for putting up the tarp, we canceled the A-Best estimate for a permanent fix and went with another less expensive company. We were pleased with the other company's work, price, and honesty. I'm sure A-Best does fine quality work, but there are lesser known companies that don't advertise as much that can do just as good a job for a much more reasonable price without deception on pricing. My advice is to shop around for the best deal. read more

Very poor response time when requesting a quote. We've been waiting since the middle of August 2018 to get a quote from the A-Best estimator who inspected our roof. Two follow up emails from me have brought no response. I can only conclude they don't want our business. This is the second issue we've had with this company. Very odd experience with getting a bid for a new roof from A-Best Roofing. Two salesmen (one I recall named Dom) came out. They were nice enough - no problem there. But the bids they gave me for the roof were simply given to me orally - no written bids were given to me to review. I was told that the bid was $31,000 for a class 2 shingle, $47,000 for a class 4 impact resistant shingle, and $73,000 for metal panels (what kind, I have no idea because they said they were not familiar with the product and did not even have a sample with them to show me! I had asked about a stone coated steel, but I don't think that is even what the "metal" bid was for). The most disturbing part was that they wanted me to sign a contract right then and there and asked what they could do to make that happen. I felt like I was at a car dealership! This is obviously a huge decision, one that a homeowner should not make lightly. They should have provided me with the written bids and told me to take my time to review them and ask them any questions before making such an important decision. No company should pressure and try to sell a homeowner such a huge purchase on the spot. Very disappointed in A-Best Roofing and their "sales" practices. Hopefully, their work is quality as their "sales" tactics, in my opinion, are clearly not. read more

While I believe the quality of the products they use are good, I would have to say they did not deliver on what was sold. I had storm damage to my roof and the worked to get a full replacement roof with my insurance. After sitting thru a over 30 minute sales presentation, I was promised every bell and whistle, signed the contract that showed every bell and whistle was included. After the work was done and they wanted payment, I found out that I did not get everything that was promised in the contract because of a little clause that states they will only do what the insurance pays for. They knew this and what the insurance would pay for because they are in the business and know how things work. Beware of working with them because they are nothing but liars and will do anything to get your business. Very, very, poor business ethics. read more

Our roof was damaged in the July storm that swept through Tulsa. We had tree limbs puncture the roof and crush the edges of the roof. We had many different companies come out and quote for the repair but we fell prey to A-Best's salesmen speech that they were the best and their workmanship far outweighed their competition's workmanship. The salesman even bad mouthed the previous roofing company that had put on the roof only 5 years before and discouraged us from even letting them back up on the roof to quote the job. A-best's guys came out and did the repairs within a week. I was very happy that I didn't have to wait long to get the work done. However, the job was done so sloppily! The eave of the roof still dipped and buckled just with new shingles on top. And one of the holes in the roof where a branch punctured was simply shingled over too...no repair to the plywood underneath, just a fresh shingle covering the 2 inch in diameter hole. For a company that supposedly holds so many awards and special titles of excellence I am shocked and feel cheated. I could have done a better job myself with a trip to Lowes and a hammer! Do not fall for their sales speeches. Their work has proven shoddy and unacceptable! read more
