I called into Messick roofing and the owner Grant had picked up the phone. I had informed him that I was looking for roofing estimates and he was able to set an appointment with me to come out the next day. Grant arrived on time and did a full inspection on the roof. He was able to provide me with an estimate right away and quoted me at $7900 for 2,100 sq ft of roof and that also included the installation of five attic vents. After getting four different estimates, Messick Roofing was by far the most reasonably priced. I had the pleasure of working with Paul Wallace and his crew. Very personable guy and extremely helpful of aiding me in picking out a new roof color. They arrived on time. They finished on time. They cleaned up all their mess. The craftsmanship was very well done. They took very good care of my property during the roofing process. The attention, communication, and care during the job was absolutely what you want from a roofing company. I cannot speak highly enough about this business. Paul was also very kind enough to bring over a pound of dear meat that he caught from his last hunting trip which was beyond over the top. We had a phenomenal experience with this company and will definitely be using them again in the future.

My experiences with previous roofing companies were discouraging - from lack of professionalism to outright laziness with one company not even thoroughly analyzing my issue, resulting not only in a quote that was almost 4 times as high as Messick's, but wouldn't have even fixed the problem. Grant responded to my request for a quote promptly and graciously - another stark contrast from the previous - and was able to assess and rectify my issue rapidly and affordably. I can't think of anything that I would ask this company to improve, only to keep doing what they're doing!

I had these guys come out to change a single pillar beam. At first, everything was going smoothly but half way through and towards the end it started going downhill. I understand it was a small project but every customer and project should be treated equally. Anyways, the communication was getting terrible. I called (no name disclosed) on a Friday and he said that they would have someone come out on Monday at 9am. I took off work to have these guys come out at 9am to fix the pillar. At 9:15am I had to make multiple phone calls to two different people, including the owner, before anyone answered. I was told that I would hear back with information when someone was going to come that Monday. At this point it was 2pm, I never heard back so I ended up making calls but even then, they did not pick up nor return my text messages. They contacted my spouse instead to tell my spouse they would be there at 4. It was almost 5 before anyone showed up and the job was just disappointing. This first one, they cut it too short and ended up stuffing an extra piece in, so you could honestly wiggle it, like a loose tooth. I did not see it until 2 days later and contacted them again. They were able to send someone out that same day which was nice. However, the new one they put in was not straight, it had dents, and it seemed like a piece that was scrape. They came back the next day to change it and this third one was much better. The guy whom I was in contact with apologized to my spouse and I multiple times and said they spoke to the guy who came to fix the pillar beam.

Jonathan and Wes gave me an honest evaluation of the roof and I was impressed right away by the fact that there was no sales pressure or tactics to replace or repair the areas they saw, they just pointed out areas of potential concern, and let me decide how I wanted to handle things. After such a positive experience, I tapped them again to give me a bid on replacing the roof for the house and garage. Jonathan came out and gave me a quote and options to choose from with no pressure to buy or sign a contract, just informing me of what Sooner Recon offers, the costs for the options I was considering, and some colors I could choose from- again the ball was in my court to decide what worked best for me. I chose to replace my roof, and thus far am quite happy with how things turned out. The roofing crew was hardworking, efficient, respectful and left my place and the surrounding areas super clean. They also spent extra time and effort to make sure my flowers and plants were protected which I really appreciated. When they left, you couldn't even tell they had been here! I was also in need of help with some other projects around the property and both Jonathan and Wes have been working as a team to help me address them. We are still knocking out projects and I know with their help each project will be done right, done on time, and with the attention to detail I have come to expect. I highly recommend Sooner Recon and Jonathan and Wes in particular for anyone's roofing or project needs. They're a great team working for a great company.

Noticed a water leak where he had been working with hvac and duct work last. Pictures tell it all. I also received 2 very nasty text messages when I called him out on his work. He was highly unprofessional and Iâ m sure Iâ ll post that text when I feel I want to. I contacted the actual owner. She seemed very nice but wanted both sides of the story. Kinda confusing. Iâ m the customer. I donâ t just wake up one day and decide to call out of the blue. Well pictures donâ t lie. A simple high school physics class could see how airflow is not adequate, nor to code at all! Now I have a full demo going on due to details that a professional would have noticed. It could have easily been fixed. He noticed moisture in the attic but chose not to tell me until months later when I asked after I had a problem. I read another review that said the owner Quinton said, â thereâ s two sides to every storyâ . Well the girl I spoke to told me she was the owner and told me the same thing, â thereâ s two sides to every storyâ Well text and pics donâ t lie. If they do not reach out to me by Friday Iâ m reporting to the BBB. Too many bad things have gone wrong with them. And now no communication. Update: 6/30/22 The company, Sooner Recon, left a reply stating it was my fault the HVAC had problems. Although they were the last to service it (last was in Feb 2022). Still doesn't explain the duct work that Sooner Recon did. Look at pictures! Lastly, they stated it was my lack of maintenance. I have used a company to maintain my HVAC for 8 years. I only used Sooner Recon for this job because Wes stated, "I do everything you need done" and they were already at my home doing other repairs. Thought it would be easier just using one company. They also lied and stated I have outstanding balance. Um Nope! You were paid $6,800 ($5,158.00 on 2/15/22 & $1645.00 5 days later; which is more than the balance). This is not a professional company at all. Their actions speak volumes. Beware; if you don't leave a positive review they will delete it!

"I have made several referrals to him and all were pleased.**I contacted Mr. Stahl about a bid for replacing my roof. I received the bid along with the contract. I asked him when would I get to choose my shingles, I wanted brown tones to compliment my home. Jerry Stahl stated "I was thinking of using driftwood it has mostly brown tones. It the same I put on, called my agent by name, has mostly brown tones. The name "driftwood" sounded brown to me. Trusting Mr Stahl and thinking my agent would be picky with her home I agreed! *******Here is where it gets to be a nightmare for me. The shingles and supplies were delivered while I was away on Monday morning, without any notice. The supplies was blocking part of entry to my carport. My son moved them over. I contacted Mr. Stahl he said oh I forgot, my son was ill. OK I understand. In a couple of days the crew arrived and started working. The removal of the old shingles, tarpaper, nails etc falling. I noticed none of my shrubs, flowers were not covered. Note first line of contract stated landscaping would be protected. The supervisor of crew left the site for over 3 hours. I asked supervisor multiple times keep gate closed he would look at me, I know what I am doing, walk through gate, never closing it. Repeated behavior. I was needing to let my dog out to run.As a reference my house built 50's, right at 1300 sq feet, not a high hip roof that you see today, 5 man crew. As the new shingles went on they were 85% grey. I called Jerry Stahl, let him know, reply "does it look clean?" Never answered my question. Jerry Stahl totally ignored, shingles half on. My shed was roofed with new vents installed. Problem, again no communication so I could cover and protect furniture in shed. Cleaning up the shed from the debrie cutting holes for vents. Much more to this. This all happened late May, early June. I was waiting on hard rain. Large amounts of shedding of the shingle covering flooded off the roof of house and shed, like when the shingles get old, gritty stuff. Makes me really question how old the shingles are that suppose to be brown tones. Color is predominately grey that washed off house during last weekend heavy rains. When I shared with my insurance agent I caught her in 3 lies to cover herself and Jerry Stahl. It was so ugly I changed Insurance agents for my coverage.
