(Which is something we have experienced at other places) They often do not want to leave when I come to pick them up and I have to bribe them to want to come home. They are great with supporting the potty training I have been doing with my oldest, and help reinforce it while at daycare. The kids are learning about things while at "school" as my oldest calls it, and often surprise me by discussing these things with me on the car ride home. We recently moved from Chicago and had an amazing school for our little boy. It was one of the harder parts of leaving, knowing we had to take him away from there. Fortunately enough, we found Ms Amy and Ms Emily at Goddard of Carmel ( Westfield). We looked into a lot of schools in the area and felt this was the most like his other, but also felt the warmth when you enter the school. The school is full of vibrant colors and children's artwork, and all the staff says hello as you walk the halls. We've now been there for 2.5 months and I still feel like we've made the right choice. My son loves his teacher, Ms Sara, and she has truly made his transition so smooth. If there is ever a day that he just needs a little extra love, she's the first to pick him up and snuggle or chat with him. I can tell by her interactions, hellos and goodbyes, with the children, that she truly cares for them. Of course, there is the curriculum side as well that you're likely interested in, if you're looking into a Goddard. My son has learned so much in the short 2.5 months he's been there. He has a new song, new words, putting sentences together, asking real questions, almost every day! They have so much outside play as well! I'm slightly concerned about the winter and how much outside time they will get to burn off the energy, his past school had an indoor gym- I think we'll miss that part a little! We really do love the school and my son does too! I'd absolutely recommend it and plan to update this in the future when/if we should ever leave!

When we ever had questions or concerns we were met with a happy director and assistant director who would bend over backwards to be sure our needs were met. We had the same teacher the whole time. Today i got a phone call that a decision was made of Un-enrollment do to him running out of an exit door. I had many questions as a concerned parent. How was nobody watching him? They claim that a teacher when running after him but by the time she grabbed him, he had already gone through the exit door. They also claim that my son who's 3 should know the difference between a regular and exit door. This is a high concern because thankfully nothing happen to him. Had he ran out onto the street what then? I just feel that this of high importance for parents to know. They didn't care that my son has been going there since age 1 and mostly didn't care do the circumstances we are facing now how hard it would be to find another daycare. I am mad about what happened and hurt but mostly, fear for the safety of the other children attending this facility.

When we walk in the door every morning, the positive energy is just exploding and the welcome from each and every employee is the best way to start our day. My son loves the teachers and thoroughly enjoys this facility. We toured several daycares when we were pregnant and found only two that we would even consider sending our child. I love that there are no screens for the kids, they have dedicated outdoor time everyday when the weather is nice, and there are cameras in the rooms for parents to peak in on their kids during the day. I never feel like we need the camera to make sure he's being treated correctly, but being able to see him playing and interacting with the other kids brings a lot of joy. The teachers send a daily report and there are nearly always photos. I'm so thankful we found such a wonderful place to provide childcare.
