I had the Red Thai Curry and the wontons - my go to dishes for this place because these dishes are always superior. The restaurant is spacious so you don't feel crowded in which is another reason why I frequent this place. The servers are polite and know the menu so they can make recommendations. We wanted to have a Chinese food and there were not many choices. After checking out yelp, this one has the most stars. The places were comfortable and the waitress was very friendly. We were presented a Chinese menu and food were supposed to be authentic Chinese. We ordered 3 dishes and one is good but the other two were below average. One dish has food not well prepared and it is so hard to chew. Also they charged very high price for a bowl of rice which does not taste like regular rice from Asia. Well, I am from Halifax, and I have been to Sydney sometimes to visit my friends, so I tried the food in the Bite of Asia sometimes, in spite of the a little bit high price, and your unexpected off days, the food is tasty there, I like the Thai food and some of the Chinese dishes, I like the atmosphere there, have you guys ever been to Sakura Sushi, the hell place ever in Sydney, the boss there seems like fight with his customers all the time, do you guys know him, what's wrong with him? This restaurant exceeded our expectation. If only judging from the menu we were not sure how authentic it would be. However the taste of each dish is fresh and home made like. We ordered fried dumplings, fried calamari and home made spring rolls for appetizers, seafood bar pot, spiced minced pork with tofu, red curry chicken and some kind of Thai flat rice noodle. We finished everything! They used very fresh ingredients for each dish. My seafood dish has 4-6 types of vegetable and plenty of shrimps, scollops and lobster meat. It has a home made deliciousness! So I gave this place two tries before writing this review. The first time I went I was craving Thai food. After some researching, I've come to realize you either make it at home or eat it at A Bite of Asia. I ordered pad Thai and Tom yum soup. Both were average and not authentic. The price point is medium high but the portion is decent. The pad Thai didn't taste anything like a pad Thai. More like some sort of Chinese spice sauce. The Tom yum soup was so weird, the only thing they got right was it was a little spicy. The second time I went and tried their combination menu. I had combination 2 which contained chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and broccoli and beef. So the fried rice was average but the broccoli and beef was actually decent. The sweet and sour deep fried batter ball of chicken was subpar. It was a fairly large portion which was good. My friend ordered green curry under the Thai menu. It honestly didn't taste anything like Thai Green Curry, but was at least decent. I think the bill came out to be a little over $50 for the both of us. There is a secret Chinese menu that they offer only to the Chinese people who walk in. It is written totally in Chinese and is a totally different menu with more authentic Chinese dishes. At the very top it asks for 15% tip which is rather odd. I haven't had a chance yet to try those dishes but it seems every Chinese table eats dishes off it. Just a heads up this menu exist and if you want something more authentic, you should definitely ask for it. The decor of this place is very nice and new. It is cozy and well up kept. The service is pretty awesome too. I would return for these two things alone. So in conclusion. PRO: The decor, the service, and the atmosphere. Just went here for lunch and it was delicious. Slightly on the pricey side for having lunch but there were cheaper lunch options, and you definitely get what you pay for. I had the green vegetable curry and my friend had the chicken soo gai and we enjoyed them both and the portions were hardy. It sadly wasn't busy and it's disappointing really. The people who work there were friendly and attentive. It's great to see options of places to eat in Sydney and this one didn't disappoint. read more

I may give here a 3.5. Tried it for lunch on a gorgeous May Friday when there were tons of tourists in the area, off a cruise ship. We expected it to be busy, but it was half full at best. When we walked in, we were greeted almost immediately and given one of the four-seater tables along the right wall. I did count the total number of seats, but forget at the moment, although it was probably something like 60? Bright, clean atmosphere with simple Asian touches (cute stools, lights over the tables, etc). Soft music playing, which made me laugh because one song was like a baby's lullaby you'd hear from a toy, but then it changed to relaxing flute music. Service was friendly. I tried the veggie pad thai (13.00 rice noodles, wok tossed with our homemade sweet, sour & spicy sauce with eggs, bean sprouts, tofu, bell peppers, white onions, topped with crushed peanuts). It was a large size, that I was able to finish, but my mother ordered the beef version and took half of hers home. It had good flavor and I've tried pad thai at dozens of restaurants in my life, and would say this was average or better. Went to lunch here and ordered the combination plates. Not a single item had any flavor. The sweet and sour chicken were 97% breading and 3% chicken, the chicken chow mein was 0% chicken. Ordered some fried wontons thinking I would get the traditional wonton dumplings but instead was disappointed to find it was just deep fried wonton wrappers. Service was lack luster and I waited 15 minutes to pay my bill. Highly recommend that no one eats a meal here. read more

Great beef curry! Nice to have other options in Sydney. And wheelchair accessible. Shanghai noodles were also quite good.

I like the MaPo Tofu if it can be made to more spicy, I will love it! The environment was good, and I like the background music!

We ordered Pad Thai, Singapore Noodles, some egg rolls and Kung Pao Chicken. Service was generally good, friendly and quick. Portions were also large. Unfortunately, everything was bland.
